At that time of day he'd be going against traffic on 270/255 from MO into IL, so he could have been home very, very quickly if he really wanted to be. Of course he needed to buy some time between his phone call and arriving at home... just saying.

Yeah it's not far at all. I know that area really well; I used to live in So County.

Hey Blue... Quick ??? Do you still go to that Golds? If so, how busy is it that time of morning? Just wondering how many people are usually there, and how many people saw him and observed his behavior that morning.

My Golds in St.Chuck is busy from very, very early until about 8... hits a lull, then picks up again. I tend to notice people who don't seem like they want to be there, or are acting weird and not concentrating on what they're doing, etc... I could imagine he would have been either aimlessly going from machine to machine; constantly looking at the clock... or isolating himself in the Cardio Theater and checking the clock on his phone constantly to set up his phone call perfectly. I'd hope people would notice that and let LE know.

Gold's in So. County isn't as large as the one out by you..Weldon Springs?
I would say it's still busy at that time, at least it was when I went there. Mornings and evenings are the busiest times, like most gyms I would guess. I moved and joined the Y, so I haven't been there in 4 years. It's not that big inside, so you definitely would see anyone that comes in...well, I guess if someone stayed just on the treadmills you might not see them if you were in the back. If he was lifting, he would have definitely been noticed the area back there just isn't that big. The treadmill people might not notice someone, they usually had their eyes glued to the TV screens.

sorry, still new to this case. So the idiot in question went to a gym at 5:30 but was SO Suspicious at 7am about the safety of his wife. WHAAAAAAAAA? You kididng me? He phoned LE? ummmmmm, maybe phone off hook, maybe wife in shower? maybe kids have TV toooooo loud to hear phone ringing?????

Can anyone tell me ever when someone called LE to find out if their family was SAFE because of phone call NOT answered in less than 2 hours?? SERIOUSLY? ARE YOU FRIGGIN' KIDDING ME? Why isn't he behind bars yet?

I better remind my hubby everytime we're sitting outside by the pool or at the park for 2 hours walking our dogs. God forbid he calls authorities because he cannot reach me in such a short amount of time. :furious: sorry for the rant, just joining you all and the shock has not worn off.

I was using my digital camera to take photos of my TV screen with the DVR in pause mode.
The pictures never come out perfect when doing this but I think it is very obvious that it is a bale of straw that was probably removed from the Colemans back yard.

I think this is probably something that sounded good to him when he was thinking about it, but then in reality doesn't make much sense.

I hope LE has interviews with people there that remember seeing him and observing his behavior. He had to be acting a bit off, IMO, if he just killed his entire family. How can you not be acting just a bit strange?

One other question and sorry if this was covered, I'm just clarifying a few things in my own head... does that Golds have showers? I would imagine yes, but you never know. I'm thinking maybe he showered while there and washed some evidence down the drain.

Heck for weeks after my brother took his own life all I could muster was to sit on the steps and stare at the wall. Unloading the dishwasher was a task I couldn't even complete. And I wasn't guilty of his death, just stunned dealing with the reality of it all. Two years later and it's better, but I still get the stare at the wall and try to understand the reality of it all.

Unfortunately Sheri's family has many, many days like these ahead of them as they try to deal with this unfathomable situation. They're probably teetering between denial and anger right now; and I pray they find resolution soon with an arrest and peace in their hearts in the future.

Your cousin picked a great place to live ;-) The beauty of The Lou, it's a nice small BIG town, KWIM? Seems everyone knows everyone, or knows someone who knows someone. I telling ya Chester really gets hit hard each year. The warm and cold fronts always meet right over us. I have some great severe weather photos that I have taken.

We don't, but we certainly speculate!:crazy: I think that Sheri found out about the affair because Tara either confessed or Sheri just put things together. I don't think for a moment he wanted to leave Sheri... that could've kicked off a major fight. But that theory implies that CC killed his family in the heat of the moment, and the letters seem to imply he planned this thing.

I'm actually praying that Sheri never knew about the prayer, that CC drugged and then....

I do know that the media reported at one point that Sheri's family hadn't heard of any affairs.

Grew up in North Co (McN). Originally from New Orleans, so I never got the High School thing ~ always and still think it's silly! But it does start the connections, thats for sure!

Hi Pattycake! I'll try to do a quick summary.
1. Basically, the children and wife were found strangled, some report in their beds. There are also reports that they were covered with sheets and/or spray painted. This is not official news.
2. There are reports that the family was the subject of threats from some unnamed person who vandalized their mailbox and otherwise threatened the family. We do not know if this info only came from the husband but, there are reports that the polcie were called on occasion.
3. Messages were spray painted on the walls of the home at the time of the murders. Reports say it was something to the effect of: I told you this would happen."
4. Many of us here suspect that Chris staged these threats to make it look like a stalker killed the family.
5. Chris apparently said he called from the gym or on the way home to check on his family because he always does so before the boys go to school to make sure they are up and to say goodmorning. He may say he got nervous and called LE when there was no answer because of the threats.
6. Chris works as a security officer for a major evangelcial org that he is a member of. Some are creeped out by this org and the head of it arrived at the house only a couple hours after the bodies were discovered.
7. Many question how his family would have been accessible if Chris knew security so well. Couldn't he have crafted a security system for his house? Apparently, there were cameras set up bu the DVR in one is missing. Reports are that LE is searching for it.

Like.........it's not that Chris called an attorney, it's WHEN he called an attorney. BEFORE dusk on the day his family was murdered! What innocent person calls an attorney the very day their loved ones are found brutally murdered???????? I believe NG has an answer for that one.

Jason Young hired an attorney BEFORE he even talked to LE even once. He's NEVER talked to LE about that day. JASON YOUNG is the 'prime suspect' in Michelle's murder.

WHY was Sheri's name taken off the deed to the house just months before she was murdered?????????????? (I'd like to hear that one myself?)

BOTH FAMILY CARS ARE IN THE HUSBAND'S NAME ONLY??????? It's been reported on the news,..............is that true????????

REEEEEEKSSSSS of control issues, IMHO.

I've been reading for hours and I know I have more questions NG could pose, but until I can think of them, you all in harms way, head for cover! Please!!!!!!!
