Welcome

You said you meet CC a few times. Could you give us your impression?

He seemed like a nice enough guy. Others I know that know him said they were shocked to think he could do this. Very much a family man.

No, it was nice out, but cool enough to wear long sleeves. I wore a long sleeve shirt that day too.

Thank you! Still - I hope they checked him for scratches and bruises. Though it doesn't sound like he's been very forthcoming. Perhaps they needed a court order for that too....

It looks like a brand new cardboard box that has clear tape over the top flap seam to seal it and it looks like the box is wrapped in clear plastic wrap (like they use to wrap skids of boxed goods with) and the handles are make-shift from a layer of the clear plastic wrap to help lift the box up with.

This pictures looks like was taken at the Columbia IL police station where the MCS is temporarily working out of. Are we sure that this is evidence taken from the Coleman house or could it have some Forensic supplies or machinery in it? (the reason I ask is the box does not have a evidence seal on it nor a evidence tag on it that I can see.)

It also looks like there is a small wooden skid on the bottom of the box to give the bottom of the box support. (I have been looking at it by zooming in on it) If it is heavy and if it was shipped via UPS/FedEx the shipper would wrap it this way so that it could be lifted up easier by the UPS/FedEx carrier. The box look fairly large and bulky (and possibly heavy) and one would really have to wrap their arms around it to carry it and maybe that is why it has plastic wrap handles wrapped into it. Shipper/large skid plastic wrap is pretty heavy duty and strong. I am thinking that it contains Forensic machinery or supplies in it.

Though CC may not have traveled a great deal to FL with JMM, I'm confident LE has looked at TL's travels in recent times to see if her trips coincided with CC's travels. I'm going to guess they probably did.

Welcome to WS, Bluenotes! Great information! Sorry it took so long for you to post.

Wow. This is huge news. JM had no plans to go to Florida that I can tell according to her website since Feb. So if he was planning on such a trip, it would have been a family type vacation. Now that we know about the stripper girlfriend in Florida...it makes it even more curious. (And very sad the boys were building up for such an exciting time to have their hopes dashed...only to be murdered. :()

Thanks for the info on Gold's!!

Yeah, that makes me wonder if SC found out about the g/f and canceled the vacation.

It won't let me view his profile, so I'm guessing he's a new user.

Oh, I had to laugh about the St. Louis traffic comments on the other thread...guess I'm just used to it.

Luckily CC doesn't seem to be too bright in getting rid of the evidence since evidence was found in the grass along 255. There's a HUGE river underneath the bridge he could have tossed something into...the Mississippi.

I havent popped up on this thread yet, quietly reading and watching the news. I found it rather disturbing, after watching the cemetary video, that it was only CC, his mum, and dad. Yes, they had tissues, but they were pretty much leaning against the car. No flowers, no other support, mom wearing long shorts -- it all seemed so disrespectful to the victims. Maybe it's just me.

However, those are his 2 boys, his wife - why did this moment seem so "off". CC didn't even approach the caskets, or lay a rose. My gosh, when my mom passed, she had a room full of loved ones and yellow roses (her favourite), and it's been 3 years, and I'm still not over it.

Maybe that's why I think CC is handling the deaths so WRONG!!!! (I know, I know, people handle death differently, but this is his own flesh n' blood).

I just get so mad when I read these things:

"Through a spokesman, Sheri Coleman's family says it did not know of a rift in the marriage between the couple, but there is a level of anger now. That anger stems from the fact that the Chris Coleman family removed items from the Columbia home but didn't ask Sheri's mother if there were any mementoes she would like with which to remember her daughter."

How rude is that? Sheri is murdered and they do not even let her mom get some of her items? What insensitive jerks. :furious:

Today was not the official funeral. The did that on Saturday. They went to the grave on Saturday and sat the coffins over the dug graves. Prayers were said and flowers laid on the caskets on Saturday. After everyone left the caskets were taken and placed back into the hearses and were transported either to the airport or they were drove up to Chicago for Sheri's family.

To be fair, this was actually the second time he was at the cemetery. The bodies were taken to Chicago after the first graveside service. My wife was at the visitation service and said CC did not seem to be upset at all.

How rude is that? Let me count the ways.
Why would the Coleman family invite all this bad press....Strange
IMO

That is not surprising!

Do you know Chris' birth day by chance?

What else can you tell us about the wake and funeral? (I did not attend it because I don't know them personally)

This is very telling to me. I'm not a guy, but I would be on my knees, sobbing, had I just lost my husband and my babies. - at the hands of another, that is...
