Joyce Myers has stated that CC resigned his job with her organization. You are right, he broke the Morals Clause. Having a girlfriend is really a no no. I believe I heard that Joyce Myers knew the family quite well and so I assumed that they are a part of her church. I don't know if you have ever heard her preach but she is really wonderful. I love to listen to her. Anyway, I may be wrong but I believe she knew the whole family. I think he resigned because the news is blasting this girlfriend all over the place and he knew Joyce would hear and ask him about it. He didn't really have a choice but to resign.

I hate these cases. Why won't these guys just get a divorce instead of murdering the wife or the whole family? They have to know that they will get caught and go to prison. In the end I really wonder if it was worth it. A question I would love to ask some of these guys including my daughter's ex-husband.

Joyce doesn't have a church in terms of a typical church that meets weekly.

I read a news account today where the ministry would not specify the reason for resignation/termination.

Yes, I have seen her on tv, and that's part of the reason I was asking and I agree, his only choice was to resign before being terminated. *If* he did it, I can't understand why either ~ especially the innocent little children. MOO

I heard from a very reliable source tonight that Chris will be arrested as soon as the forensics come back. Can't give any more details because I don't want to risk anyone's job but they are NOT waiting for tox results.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not seeing this as some are.
I thought the hang-up was SA. Connor and team have turned in their evidence and said they solved the case. Prosecutor says, hold up, I want to wait for tox reports.
SO, we are at a stand still for now.

Yes, exactly. And, IMO, the tox reports will seal it. I believe he drugged them before he killed them. The time involved for the drug to take effect will prove he was home when they were drugged. I don't believe they were asleep--strangulation takes awhile and they would have struggled--unless they were drugged. JMO.

I also heard on Nancy Grace, the perp wrote on the wall in the basement. Jean C (filling in for Nancy) also said there was evidence the basement was damp with wetness on the floor.

It was stated on NG that he worked for JMM at least five years.

Not sure of the date but CC and Sheri had their first son Garett about 7 months after they were married and CC was working for JMM at that time or very shortly thereafter. If I am not mistaken JMM was his first job upon leaving the Marine Corps.

It looks to me like they know who the perp is, what his motive is and why he won't be killing others, and they need to build up more evidence against him before arresting him and charging him with the murders. If they don't have a good case before the arrest, guess who will want a speedy trial and the DA will be sunk. MOO

I can't imagine what tests cannot be concluded in a couple of weeks besides the Toxicology screens. We know the Tox screens take the longest of all the tests and Major Connor gave a timeframe of 6-8 weeks (which I think he was stretching). Did they do Tox screens on them?

If the lab in Springfield or wherever they took the items for forensic testing could not complete them in a timely fashion...they should have asked the FBI for assistance in that area.

However, it is nice to know his arrest is imminent. :clap::clap::clap:

so the spray painted message is in the basement? just doesn't sound as much of an impactful "statement" to leave as one that would be left on a wall facing the front door or in a bedroom.

maybe the perp didn't want to get overspray from spray paint on the carpet?

There are many times when my dh doesn't get a hold of me if he calls during the day when I'm still at home. I might be in the shower or outside doing something. It's never occured for him to call the police for a wellfare check or to contact a family member or a neighbor to check. If he doesn't get me he'll just try again later, if he was so worried then get your own butt home and do the checking. Everything to this story stinks to high heaven and it's just beyond me how a father could do this to those little boys!

And I don't want to offend the poster who wrote an open letter to the parents of CC, as I know the heart was certainly in the right place. But IF CC did this and said "he didn't fail his test - he just stumbled - who knows why".

I have to respectfully disagree. 3 murders is not a stumble, it's a face first dive into the the grand canyon, and is a complete failure of God's trust.

My god says:

You shall not kill

You shall not commit adultery.

You shall not steal

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour

I'm not particulary a religious person, but my parents sent me off to Sunday School every week, so I did have a pretty religious upbringing. For what it's worth, it's going to be pretty tough for the PERP to get beyond those pearly gates.

I am not an attorney, but I think this is true unless they can find she signed her name under duress or her name was forged. It sounds like she signed her rights away in front of a Notary tho. Her name was reportedly not listed on either automobile.

Chris made out like a bandit, imo. At least he will have the funds for a legal defense and cannot claim he is an indigent for awhile.

If CC knew the notary personally there's a good chance she/he may have signed off on it w/o Sheri being there. We have done that before. My husband signed a doc, and I took his license with me and our friend signed off on it. No it's not legal. but it is possible. Just sayn

I am just curious............how do they know for sure, the tests are going to be connected to the husband?.....the tests , im guessing have not been completed if started.....so how do they know in advance, that the tests results are going to be a connection to the husband in advance?

I think the coroner on the scene would know pretty quickly the approximate amount of time the family had been lying there dead. If they were totally cold, for example, that would show they had been dead for much longer than a couple of hours. Since Chris states he was home until around 5:30 a.m., that pretty much makes him the bad guy.
