It seems to me she would have had to sign something else relinquishing rights to the property. Perhaps, that was the next step. Maybe she balked at the idea and that was what set CC off. Honestly, with so little information everything is speculation to the nth degree.Ok, trying to wrap my mind around the deed/community property thing. So basically if the Coleman's were to divorce she would have equal right to the property since it was bought during their marriage. So that would remove motive for CC having taken her name off in an attempt to gather up and keep property to himself. However, what was CC's knoweledge of this? Could he have wrongly assumed this tactic would have worked in his favor during a divorce? Maybe he thought it was a possession is 9/tenths of the law type of thing.
