Not a single word in our weekly Chester paper this week about Chris Coleman being arrested for the murders of his wife and 2 boys. Nada... zip!

You have no idea how pissed off I am about this. It just goes to show ya how many damn trolls there are in this town that support Ron Coleman and his church.

Typically this would have been on the front page if it would have been any other person in this town.

Sounds just like Brevard, NC...they rarely have anything in the local newspaper about Jason Young. If they do, it's weeks after the fact.

The Randolph County Herald Tribune is OUR local newspaper - They are right here in town.

Well, that is sort of a ridiculous idea with things like the internet, don't you think??? I mean come on!!! This case is NEVER going to be forgotten, and if they try to make it fade away, that will make it an even bigger story on the net.

Now "you'da thunk" that if they felt that the story of the deaths of the Coleman's was newsworthy, that they would also think that the announcement of the accused being arrested was equally if not more newsworthy.

Do you think there is any possibility that the date of the arrest and the date that they did the print setting had anything to do with the story not being in the paper?

Wierd, very wierd and very sad. Justice was being screamed for and they had an opportunity to report the beginning of it being gained. They did not take that opportunity.

The suntimes is not a printed paper and it is not the local Chester paper.

If I recall that newspaper isn't printed in Chester,if I remember right it is printed in Murphysboro. I think the deadline for submissions is Monday because it comes out on Tuesday evening.

I surely know what the local paper is and where it is published.
The deadline is Wednesday afternoon.
The paper comes out on Thursday.

I am really shocked by some of you that claim you know Chester so well when you don't even know what the Chester paper is called and where their office is. It right in the heart of Chester.

WS's watch out for these people and the info they are feeding you.
Things are not matching up with their stories.

Feeling kinda meh about Miss Motive's involvement in the big picture even. She did a terrible, awful thing when she started a relationship with her friend's husband, but very rarely does that sort of mess end up in murder. Women who go to bed with married men typically think it's going to end up in a nice neat divorce and they'll live happily ever after with this guy. Instead, it's a rude awakening down the road; if they don't get dumped, they get to find out what it's like to be the Other Woman in a divorce and the Wicked Stepmother to boot, all fates I wouldn't wish on anyone--well, except for women who sleep with married guys. And anyway, I just can't picture someone going to bed with her friend's husband thinking, "Mwuahaha, take THAT, best friend!" Unless they had some sort of open emnity, that doesn't sound like human nature. CC still sets off my alarm bells as a controlling abuser, and those guys are champion liars and manipulators. They start with little lies, they know how to mix in the truth, they know how to portray real events in different lights, and they rationalize circles around you until you don't know up from down, and anything seems believable. This is not isolated to their victims; they are adept at sucking other people into the swirling vortex of crazy, and eventually will use the victim's friends as proxy abusers. He was feeding MM top of the line grade A horse manure, I think.

I keep going back to that because...his sons. If he wanted MM, and wanted no divorce, and no messy financial dealings, he would have killed only his wife. But killing his children too was no accident, it was part of the plan the whole time, not like something that just happened. I think there's echoes of the Benoit murders because it seems somehow punitive. Even with all this cold, methodical planning, there's an element of rage.

There was a specific special "Coleman's" service available from the Destiny church website. I do not know where that service took place, I know that the video/audio was available at their site. I am exploring this now.

Just curious if anyone got anything out of the sermon. I'm not looking at listening to what I call "nonsense", but would be curious as to others opinion. Are we looking at another "Cindy and George". I'm sorry, but I can't listen to a sermon if they are going to defend the actions of suspected murderer CC.

Oh...thought on the threats. When I first heard it, I thought, oh no, the GF went crazy and killed his family. Then other stuff started to come out. Now I'm thinking, the idea all along may have been to blame her. Crazy speculation: was it the reason he got involved with her in the first place? I don't think so. I've been watching too many suspense movies, I'm sure.

Details will have to come out at the Preliminary Hearing. The SA's Office has to outline for the Judge the reasons charges are being brought against Chris. They will have to show sufficient proof for the Judge to decide if there is enough to take this to trial. (I have no doubt there will be more than enough evidence from the sounds of things.) We will get a brief run down on the most important pieces, but only enough to satisfy the Judge.

I trust the locals we have been talking to here. I don't believe they have any reason to mislead us or to lie to us about things they are hearing. They have been correct so far. Thanks to all who have been keeping us updated and have been so gracious in doing so. Great job.

I think his ego is the reason he got involved with Sheri's best friend. Then again...we are talking about a man who just strangled his wife and children...so anything is possible with him. We don't know how diabolical this man is and how far back he began to plan this. If he were trying to set her up...he failed miserably. (It doesn't mean his family and attorney might not try to blame her or someone she knows. SODDI Defense.)

I am a native of Chester,you know one of those unfriendly and anti-social ppl you described so meanfully on this site.You have bashed Chester for no reason and the ppl who live here. You need to get up to par on your info because the paper comes out ,my mistake, on Wednesday so the deadline is Monday or Tuesday and that arrest was made late Tuesday nite...so no it couldn't get into the paper and no it is not printed in this town.Watching your posts since you started on here has been nothing less than attention getting...Your screenname says it all,it gives attention to the town and bashing a town that is no different than any other town...you can have your opinions of that church,but when you start bashing a town the way you do, that is pathetic. Here is my thought on SC name being removed from the house....IIRC the family had at one point planned to move to Florida...What if CC talked SC into taking her name off of the house in ILL so that she could go and find them a house in FL and if they found one before the ILL house sold (with the market being down) then they would be able to put the 2nd house in Sheri's name without needing a bridge loan...Now there may have never been any plans to actually move to FL but this could have been the rouse that CC used to get her name off of the current home..

As far as him only killing SC and leaving his kids alive...I think after the fight that they had that CC thought there was no way to leave the kids alive, knowing that family members as well as LE would have talked to them...And all it would take would be one of them saying yea my mommy & daddy were yelling at each other last night and LE would have automatically thought CC had done this after the fight...So he had to kill the boys to keep them quiet..
