Holy cow! His name isn't Solomon, is it? :shakehead:

Nope. Solomon was a king, no? He got ego issues for sure though. His sister went through her wild days when she was younger, she's a responsible adult now. I never would have guessed what was going on with her brother, heard stuff here and there, but not much more than your average male stuff in High School.

There has to have been that kind of stuff about the Coleman's... I doubt we'll ever hear any of it. Does CC have any sisters?

Somewhere in one of the threads there is mention of his siblings...seems like he has two brothers only.

Solomon was a king in the Old Testament of the Bible who had more wives and concubines than anyone! He summed up all his lovers by saying that "all is vanity under the sun". I guess CC might agree with him at this point!

I don't know the answers to your questions...but they are good ones! I think the spiritual issue is huge here since CC was working for a Bible based ministry and even his employment was subject to those beliefs. Definately psych issues, as you stated! I think the reason for the murder had a lot to do with trying to find a way to keep his job and his outwardly "appearance" than people may realize. A divorce would have been harder to "explain" to his church, his father's church, and his employer's ministry.

I am a "Jesus freak" in the truer sense of the term. However, if I desired to turn away from God, I would just get another job and get a divorce or whatever, and start the new lifestyle! There is no way I could fathom living with one foot in each world.

And I also wonder about the friend...was she a Christian who started a new life as a stripper? I don't remember if Miss Motive was in the military or not...I thought it was just CC and SC that were?

Okay, I'll have to catch up in the AM. My peeps are droopin'. LOL! I enjoyed the chat, Daisy :blowkiss:

This case sure has a lot of twists and turns!

Gotcha Kimster! You bring up interesting points, I gotta get to bed too.

"Vanity under the sun"? How poetic for something so horrible.

Thank you!

Just wanted to take a second and thank all the locals that are joining us here... it seems like we have a diverse group of ya, so it doesn't surprise me that there's some bumpin' heads here. I was thinking that maybe this is a unique way for you all to understand each others points of view... maybe something that wouldn't happen otherwise.

Anyway, I'm certainly grateful for the opportunity to mix with people I wouldn't otherwise... the internet is good other things aside from snooping! ;-)

You are missing the point. Finishing off an animal and hunting is not what bothers many of us. It's the fact that he claimed he didn't have a knife and then enjoyed the act of strangling an animal. The cameraman didn't have a knife? Someone near their camp didn't have one? A hunter that knows what they are doing never forgets their knife. Having to resort to strangling an animal to bring it down is unheard of and unusual. It is not the preferred method to bring an animal down. That has been the only point made about that video. No one has said anything against hunting or having to bring an animal down if your shot wasn't good enough to do the job the first time around.

First off, I did not watch the video. That said, "strangling" an animal seems to be a very natural way of finishing an animal off - see big cat shows on tv - they all put a strangle hold on their prey. I'm not sure what this means in terms of humans doing the same, maybe the meaning is in the mind of the beholder?

My opinion only

I didn't see this post, even though your gone... I gotta say "Thanks" 'cause Napoleon is cool! I've met a couple people with autism type issues, and your right, there are a lot of similarities... My friend has a son like that, he's just amazing with dogs, its really a gift.

Sorry, I have to respectfully disagree. As I stated before, my brother and his son live in Alaska and hunt (during hunting season) for mook, elk, salmon. They hunt for FOOD not for thrill. My husband has been out there with em, and has filmed them. One time, my bro had to cut the neck of an elk, because the bullets were of no use. Many hunters (if there are any on this MB) know the hand to hand combat is what the kill is. A bullet is a mere way to bring the animal down. Sometimes they use bow n' arrows like they did in the good ol' days.

So what may be disturbing to all us city folk, there's another reality out there. I''ve always loved the fact that real men go out in the wilderness and hunt for their food. Compared to the idiots that put their prey in cages, feed them with filler -- until they are about to explode, then shoot them in the head. I've had both, and would most definitely want the meat that came from nature, and not from some man-made kill zone.

If anyone has seen the dance - you'll know what i'm talking about.

Best,

Melanie
Well, there's a lot of hunting in my area in Northern Il and the hunters here try their best to kill the animal on the first shot, not to just bring it down. The idea is to not make the animal suffer. To use a knife to finish it is one thing, to strangle it is quite another. A hunter who doesn't have a knife is like a doctor who doesn't have a stethoscope, IMO.

Lions don't have much of a choice since they don't own any weapons. Humans a have better, more humane and quicker way of getting the job done. ;)

IF you have the knife to do it. Actually, I'm not totally convinced it IS more humane, but that's a matter of opinion. I will say, however, I believe most people in our society, in general, have a totally unrealistic view of nature and how things work in the natural world. Nature is extremely cruel to our way of thinking because we don't understand it. Humans have tried to pervert/circumvent nature in many ways and in so doing have weakened our gene pool. Nature, on the other hand, ensures survival of the species.

I'll quit while I'm still behind, being totally sure no one will properly understand what I'm saying.

Sorry, I was out last night and I'm just checking in now. It's working fine for me, are you still having trouble? If so, does this work for you:

I'm a little hung over as well

Both use javascript so that the whole page does not have to be redrawn, so if they are not working you may need to restart Java (or your computer, which may be easier).

On one hand, I'm scared to read those little hidden messages and on the other hand, I just can't help myself!!!

Is it possible that they had a youtube account in Sheri's name. Remember someone took the video down after she was gone.

Most likely Le took it off after they found out about it.

That film was sheer evil,I felt like it was more of a pornographic snuff film. There was great pleasure taken in the strangulation of that beautiful animal. It was horrendous. It is one thing to hunt ,but this went beyond and the laughter made it chilling.I for one wished I never watched it.

Everything has a balance. When I've gone fishing, I've had to hit the fish's head on a rock in order to keep it from suffering. However, I do not take pleasure in doing so, it's just something that needs to be done.

I did not watch the video when I had the opportunity to do so...I saw the comments and figured it wasn't something I needed to see for myself.
