Preliminary hearings are "evidentiary" hearings ... the prosecution must prove they have enough evidence to take the case to trial.

Defense may cross-examine the prosecution witnesses but the accused will not take the stand.

Perhaps the alibi that Coleman said he had will be presented.

Findings, if any, of the security camera at the entrance of the subdivision may be disclosed .. there was some media coverage of same about 3 weeks ago but nothing conclusive was ever reported.

I don't know any of the individuals personally.

Edit - I believe I have been directed to not disclose any additional info. Therefore, I have edited this post.

Confused here. Perhaps I may have missed something, but I have not read anything from that you have posted that should be edited. With great respect....

Hello Who Knew,

-snipped-
My hope is that there is no chance in hell that bail will be set. My other hope is something brought up in the case I mentioned above, i.e. perhaps they will "ultimately push for a plea deal in the interest of discretion." I could feel okay about a plea deal that let the murderer eat one or two more jail house dinners before he gets sent to life in prison, without the possibility of parole, or death row.

But what kind of sparks fly at things like this? We have so many trial watchers...what are some of the oddball things they have seen at prelims of such as this.

In the beginning I was against a plea deal - but now I'm really hoping for one. I keep thinking of all the photo evidence that will have to be shown, and it seems like one last humiliation for these victims. But, CC will NEVER admit guilt -

I do wonder if his lawyers will continue to represent him - they are earning big bucks and I'm not sure he and his parents can continue to pay them. I would think JM is no longer furnishing the cash for that. Would CC be willing to run his parents into the poorhouse (again) to fight something that, to MOST of us, is a done deal? Are his attorneys wanting him to fight these charges? Have they suggested a plea deal? They aren't stupid - they have seen more evidence than we have - surely they would offer CC that advice.

What time is the proceedings tomorrow?

Edited - I see the start time as 10:00 tomorrow!

IMVHO, CC will plead innocent. His family will do whatever they have to in regards to paying for his defense. I may be proven completely wrong, but if history proves itself as in the past, concerning simular cases, I don't think so.

Any ideas what kind of theories the prosecution might have to explain this all as a horribly fumbled investigation?

You'll have to answer that since that's your question and I'm not privy to what the defense will say or what evidence they have to offer.

I agree with you - such a shame....

It will be interesting to hear/read what the DA will present tomorrow as cause against CC tomorrow. Frankly, I hope that some possible evidence we have discussed will be tossed out there or not as fact. I do not feel exceptionally positive for CC. But, that's just me.

It is, but that is the choice that some families make. The shame, imvho, is missing what *is*. Their choice no matter what anyone of us thinks.

It would appear that you have a theory, I don't even have a clue. Just thought that you might want to enlighten us a little. Maybe even a riddle to think about.

"Groundhog Day". Great movie. Sometimes life feels that way. So, let's move on......

Tomorrow should be enlightening. Here's to hopeful beginnings of fair justice for Sheri, Garett, and Gavin. They deserve nothing less.

I must agree that it is difficult to understand a position and discuss, with respect to other posters, when there is very little given from posters to discuss in regards to other possibilities. Not too much one can do about that, I guess. ~sigh~

Until tomorrow....

I am pretty sure we have some boots in the court room tomorrow.

I will be traveling but will try to relay any info I get as soon as possible.

There should be some new info and facts to analyze tomorrow.

Howdy Who Knew,

I don't think that I have seen any evidence that JM put up any cash for CC's defense. Unless you know something that has been substantiated, I think this is mere rumor.

...
I do wonder if his lawyers will continue to represent him - they are earning big bucks and I'm not sure he and his parents can continue to pay them. I would think JM is no longer furnishing the cash for that.

One thing is certain, CC's attorney is "in business." My guess is that he will be paid plenty to defend CC (by someone, take your guesses, but I don't think it will be JM) or he is taking this case to make a further name for himself and pump up business in the future, or both of the latter. IF he is being paid for this, my condolences to those helping to pay the bill.

You very well may be right! I don't know that JM put up the cash - just know that I read it on here. It could be a rumor. I guess since this case made Nancy Grace, the attorneys can get national exposure!

This has been rehashed over and over .. initially when I first came here.

LET IT REST!! I'm weary of the personal attacks and sarcastic remarks (from Sal, who knew?, TCO) that have filled this page today!

I have not asked any of you to back up some of your very strange and bizarre theories and I won't.

Oh I think we're ALL weary. No one here is going to "let it rest" until this case is closed. The general consensus is that Christopher Coleman MURDERED his beautiful wife and children. It's not something to joke about. It's not some silly, fictional story that we're just tossing around here to keep ourselves entertained. It really happened and it is widely believed that CC is the killer. If you have any facts or theories that could possibly dispute that belief, please share them. That's what we do here. If cryptic messages meant to bait other posters is your preference, there are plenty of other forums that totally feed on that style.

Hello Who Knew,

I was just starting to look on the internet for what might occur tomorrow. Evidently, there are at least several major things...

1. Prosecution will "argue that they have enough evidence in the case to go to trial." (check out this article on another prelim coming)

2. Defense will try to kill the case. [ugh!]

Witnesses may be heard. Defense will try to find out what the prosecution has.

The case must be brought to trial in a limited amount of time:

>>Because Coleman is being held without bond, the case must be brought to trial within 90 days instead of the typical 120 days. If the case has not gone to trial within 90 days, bail must be set, according to law.<<

My hope is that there is no chance in hell that bail will be set. My other hope is something brought up in the case I mentioned above, i.e. perhaps they will "ultimately push for a plea deal in the interest of discretion." I think they are going to try like H3** to get this thing to trial in the 90 day time frame. I don't think they want to even leave the option open for him to make bail! JMO :)

Posts are removed when they are off topic. Posts will continue to be removed when the they are silly riddles that have nothing to do with this case. The prelim is tomorrow and there is plenty to discuss without discussing other posters, posting nonsense and directing the mods to which posts should be allowed to remain.

Now, keep it on topic.

I've not seen any rumors that JM is putting up money for the defense, but I did see a rumor somewhere than RC is paying attorney's fees.

I'm looking forward to seeing this case progress! I do hope it won't take long to go to trial. There are SO MANY domestic murders going on right now that there needs to be an EXAMPLE SET with EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM and maybe, just maybe, they will slow down!!!

and posts will be removed when they are just plain moronic and have nothing to do with the case.
