Ohhhhh, thank you.
Speaking of cars, doesn't BD still have the van from the Somer Thompson foundation? Tia

Actually the maroon van was giving to Billie by a stranger that lives near by among other things that she has been giving. The Somer Thompson foundation donated funds to cover her bills etc for a month.
Finally, a time table! I was wondering about that...and God bless the LE that are having to analyze all of that. I feel so sorry for them.
I like the sound of those words. Sure looks like was are getting closer.
Jumping the gun there...he didn't say there was anything on those devices, just that they are looking at them.
I don't understand why folks keep thinking BD or SA will "run". Where would they run to? What car? One would need a dependable car to run somewhere. They don't have one between the 2 of them. They would need moneycash and lots of it as jobs without identification are hard to come by. By all accounts BD is a drug user and she would have to have her drugs and SA is on some kind of prescription meds...where would they get this filled? Run south to the border? One has to have connections in Mexico to be a fugitive, not to mention the fact Mexico does have an extradition treaty with the United States since 1980. BD and SA would not blend in that well in Mexico.
It takes a lot of money to be a fugitive....jus sayin'.
With a small flashdrive, probably one good smack with a hammer would do it.http://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2009/august/rcfls_081809
There is no way to complete wipe any electronic device... Nothing out there will completely clean it.
But,
Smashing it into a million pieces and then burning it to ashes, then dropping it into the middle of the ocean would be about the only way no one would be able to retrieve the data on it.
So let me ask this: if LE had previously confiscated devices with- especially bestiality and CP - don't you think most people would delete any other images on other devices? I'm afraid he may have done that.
I do know that deleting them is not enough. You actually have to reformat and 'wipe it clean'. Otherwise, they're still there - the space is just freed up to be written over by something else.
Just trying to figure out how you can catch someone TWICE with the same illegal stuff? Maybe I'm giving him too much credit...

I hope he didn't destroy evidence though.
That's amazing!Actually I Ran mine over with My SUV (don't ask LOL)
and My It tech was still able to get all the data off of it.
Also when you load it from your computer your computer makes a file of everything that is put on it.
People don't usually carry around empty flashdrives. The only thing you can do with them is store files on them. Why would he have five of them if they were empty - that makes no sense to me. :waitasec:
Um, avoiding prison is a great motivation, and they certainly wouldn't be the first people to try and make a run for the border ~ Scott Peterson did the exact same thing after Laci's body washed ashore. He was packed up for camping and had $10,000 in the trunk of his purple pimp-mobile bought for him by his mother. Plus he had grown a beard to try and disguise himself.
Desperate people do desperate things.
One of my theories is that the person they went to see the other day might have had a car for sale. That's just conjecture, but it would not surprise me in the slightest.
"According to the Snyder Daily News, an entry on the blotter at the Scurry County Law Enforcement Center Sunday afternoon stated a woman called and asked to speak to an officer on the telephone in reference to both Dunn and Adkins being together at the callers residence looking for someone."
One other thought...Passports...you can leave, but ya can't come back without one. Don't know if this is really enforced though......
