Anne Rice is one of my favorite authors- read all her vampire books, but not Sleeping Beauty series. She's right up there with Stephen King.

Anne Rice wrote the Sleeping Beauty series under another name of A.N. Roquelaure. Very risque indeed.

If you like Rice, let me suggest her Witching Hour series. I read those before her vampire ones. Her witch ones were sooo much better IMO.

Thanks for that one lil buddy! I do love some John Prine. I drove back home (nanny and pop are with Kyle).....because he was transported from the hospital here to Jackson by ambulance and of course I rode with him, but didn't bring a thing with me.

Not familiar with Bomer's work, but ooh-la-la.

I just watched "A Place Beyond the Pines" with Gosling and really liked that one. I like most of his films "Half Nelson" and "Drive" are excellent.

I was just looking through some of the photos on NG website of the "ladies' she met while looking around the jail where JA is, ahem..what's the deal with shaving off all your eyebrows and drawing others on? And that one chick who has tats for eyebrows, what made her think she'd ever get away with robbery and sword stabbing a man, I mean, she's got her eyebrows shaved and tattoos in their place?

That's kind of a "chola" thing that some Latinas do, a long with a particular hairstlye that includes the bangs JA has been sporting. She is likely attempting to fit in to her perceived demographic. She may have denied her heritage on the outside, but in prison unless she is segregated she will have to align herself with either Latinas or Caucasians. Just the way it is.
