Saguaro ... Hmmmff! I went to Chaparral High.... Mine was the graduating class that included 10 boys that ended up on the front page of the Republic for that Huge cocaine ring bust.
My Mother perusing the mug shots over her morning coffee ... "Oh dear you dated him" ... "And THAT boy was your prom date!" .. Good Times.

What elementary school? I went to Kiva.......this is so weird! A bunch of our graduating class went to Chaparral HS.

How about that Paris Jackson? I feel so bad for her. She seems so nice, but unfortunately will probably never be happy b/c she doesn't have a stable childhood. So sad.

I don't think I've experienced that but I can hear a dog whistle. Aren't they supposed to be soundless to humans?

There was a REALLY annoying ringing sound here yesterday and no one could hear it except me and one other guy. Turns out it was some alarm and they turned it off but how no one else heard it is behind me. I almost stabbed my ears off.

Yep ... dog whistles ... supposed to be soundless to humans!

Reminds me of the cell phone ringer kids were/?are? using in classrooms ... high pitched sound that adults typically can't hear. Those little stinkers! :giggle:

LOVE your stories! SugarBowl is the ice cream place. It's still there... and The Pink Pony reopened a few years ago after being closed for years! It's really nostalgic to go there for dinner. Old Town is kind of trendy now... in a D-Bag 30K millionaire jerk-face young people sort of way.

Afternoon WSers.
Can we talk about hummingbirds today?
Has anyone ever used the concentrated nectar for hummingbirds? I broke my old feeder last Fall and bought a new one. The hummers showed up a couple of weeks ago and I felt so bad for them- they were looking for the old feeder. I use to just make the nectar fom water and sugar, but decided to try the concentrate. I don't really know if the hummers like it. I don't know if they are just frightened to see me peeking at them and fly off or they don't like the new nectar.
Any thoughts?

I'm sorry, I don't have anything meaningful to add about feeding them, but I did want to say I was thrilled to see one this year. So many years have gone by without seeing one, but last month there was a dark one flitting over the lawn, that I saw as I was standing in the kitchen doing dishes. Quite a delight!

Do a 4 cups water to 1 cup sugar mix if they don't like the concentrate. And make sure you clean the feeder if you get that gray matter showing up. Sometimes they just get used to a particular taste coming out of those tubes.

I've never heard of those ringers!! Maybe that's what my son has because he's gotten 'caught' with his phone in class about five times this year.

I was being so productive the past few days - today I'm in a blah kind of mood.

I feel so bad for her. She's a gorgeous girl and obviously very troubled, which is quite understandable.

Don't read this Hopeful One

Trotters are pigs feet :)

Menudo! Yes, I like tripe in Menudo--never had it any other way.

Journalism? Is that what they're calling what he does these days? Back in the olden days it was called an 'opinion page.' And his "opinions" are not particularly well informed, IMO. Seriously. This guy needs a personal blog for his tantrums, not a newspaper column.

ding ding ding!

The thing that has really become beyond disturbing to me is how he's clearly seeking opportunities to actually sabotage the trial through his particular style of vengeance opportunism through his JOB.

I am a diehard Buzzcocks fan, but I alway appreciate a good cover tune. I grew up in Costa Mesa at the height (and heart) of the american punk scene, right around the corner from a club called The Cuckoos Nest. All of my friends were in bands and we hung out with famous UK rockers who would come to southern california to play at the club. The soundtrack to my youth seems very macabre today, but it wasn't; The Damned, Sisters of Mercy, Lords of The New Church, Bauhaus, etc. the local bands were Electric Cool-aid, Social Distortion, TSOL, The Dickies, Black Flag, The Circle Jerks and Wasted Youth.

Coup D'etat...

I have a good work friend that's from Huntington. She worked for Slugdog Records...for a second I thought you were her...do you happen to remember anyone D. Vanderhoek... She would have been Sluths teenage dream, pretty stevie nick's...only with half her head shaved...small crazy world if so!!:seeya:

OMG the lawyers in the Seacat case...their voices are so boring, blah, lalalalalala. I hope Mr. Foreman realizes someday what a special talent Juan has.

Yes, something similar, but not identical, was happening to the lying torture-murderess's auntie during the trial:

She's right in the middle of a maelstrom that goes along with being Michael Jackson's kid. She'll have a much better chance if she can escape that somehow, bless her heart, perhaps by moving to a more quiet location, away from Hollywood (I'm assuming she's in that type of environment, if not that exact city). :moo:
