I could feel better about discussing this case if both players were black or both were white. Due to race being an issue, no matter what side of the fence you are on, you will be judged by the way you lean. If this case was being heard in any place in the world but Florida, I'd say it would end with a hung jury. Since I tend to disagree with the verdicts handed down in that state, I figure it will go totally the opposite way of the way I think. If there was a definitive way to identify the person yelling for help, I would know without a doubt who the aggressor was. Since this is another case of the experts giving the answer they are paid to give, I have no faith in what they will say. It will be interesting though!

This is why I have a problem with WS not having a thread. Race shouldn't matter. A young boy lost his life, no matter what color he was. If people don't respect the rules of this Forum, they should be banned. We all should be able to respectfully discuss ANY case. This one should be no different and by not having a thread, it does a disservice to the victim.

We survived the "Mormon/Sex/JA" trial, (well, most of us did), we surely could all be adults about the Martin/Zimmerman case. If people aren't adult enough to go by the rules, too bad, so sad, ban them!

If they aren't going to have a thread, maybe they should put a notice on the front page and BAN ALL DISCUSSION related to the case. It keeps coming up in so many threads. There needs to be some finality on the issue.

Also Fl juries are no different than California juries or Arizona juries. Being a juror is not easy. It's like being on this board and nobody agrees with you. It is like 12 angry men, once they talked it out and realized how many facts were wrong they had to vote not guilty.

My husband just left to take my 4 year old daughter to the ER. She's had a 104 temp for 4 days & we think it's a urinary tract infection. I am at home with the other 2 kiddos & I'm going crazy.

She'll probably get an IV of antibiotics & she'll be able to come home tonight.

Could everyone pray for Liliana or if you don't do that, send her loving, healing vibes.

Thank you!

We were probably at some of the same shows. I grew up in L.A. and was real into the punk scene in Hollywood. I did go to some shows in Orange Co., too.

I saw yall's bands in San Francisco, lol!

I agree with you on all points! Our comments are not mutually exclusive. it is just that this trial was so very hard for the moderators to do their job! and every single one of them is a volunteer. it became 90% vitriol and 10 percent discussion at the end before they shut it down.

We are not in disagreement just coming at it two different ways.

I agree. I wasn't here last year when I'm guessing things got 'hot'. Maybe the problem is that, unlike JA or CA, where in those cases nearly everyone is on the same side of the fence, in this case it's not as clear cut.

I am planning on listening to the testimony and since I haven't formed a firm opinion as of yet, (though I am leaning one certain way, I'm open to having my mind changed), I hope we can have a civil discourse on this forum.

I understand where you stand on this...All the MODS are volunteers and I am certain that because of the challenges that that trial would cause ..Major Headaches for folks Volunteering their time to give us a great forum for discussing trials and crimes.

I respect their decision...they have always been fair to me. Can't imagine the challenges they have gone thru.

Jurors are WAY different than threads and WS users. Jurors should be able to follow the jury instructions and follow the law! They should base their vote on evidence and not emotions. THAT FL jury failed little Caylee. Justice was not served. :twocents:

Oh I hate to hear that, I remember how scared I use to get when my little ones got sick. Both my boys spent 3 weeks in the hospital when they were about 3 weeks old. Luckily they couldn't find anything wrong. She is a cutie though. Get well soon Liliana and mommy take care of yourself.

Ooh, if I drank liquor I bet this icecream would be good with rum, better with spiced rum. Yum, yum.

Or I have dribbled a shot of coconut rum over icecream as well, it's quite good. Or with Rum Raisin icecream, just regular rum is yummy. Omg, why am I sitting here talking about things I shouldn't eat. :banghead:

I respect the MODS here. I have never been given a time-out. I go by the rules. What I was saying is people who don't go by the rules, and don't have the ability to play nice on ANY case, should be given a time-out or banned.

I 10000000% know they are volunteers. This is why I am bailing out of the conversation about Zimmerman, it's not allowed!

My point was, if their decision is to not have a thread, they should probably put something on the front page so every single thread doesn't end up being about Zimmerman. If they decide to not allow a thread, they should ban ALL posts regarding the case. It would make their job easier...since now, they have to come in here and remove all these posts.

I won't reply to anymore discussion on Zimmerman, as they are volunteers and it's not allowed here.

I've had scratched corneas.

I had a 10-1/2 pound baby w/ no epidural

The baby was less painful

I have known other women who did that...very awesome! My wisdom teeth extraction was farrrrr worse than my two 8 pd drug free births. No joke I was so miserable and bruised and swollen.....I would go through those births again or a similar one in a heartbeat vs those stupid extractions.

. I hope this works. This is a picture of The Queen. I call her "raccoon".

Did I do good???

Omg, look at that face. Is that your Schnauzer? He looks so much like my last one, our salt and pepper that died 4 years ago at age 141/2. Our beloved dogboy now is all black. Love, love, love Schnauzers .

If you can tell me how Caylee died I'll agree with you. Now remember you said evidence not speculation. I know what it's like to be on a jury I've been called and served five times plus I worked for the state of Fl. Take it from me it's not as easy as you think.

He and JA would make an errr interesting couple. No remorse, think they are smarter than everyone even with a mountain of evidence against them and just plain ole scary

I was sitting here saying to myself "self, this guy is a 'convince, not conveyer' " then Janine Driver JUST said that on Dr. Drew!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Florida juries put Bundy, Rolling, Cooey, and Wuornos on death row. Oba Chandler is on death row, too, and so is Gary Michael Hilton.

That was quite a while ago for all those. In recent times there have been a lot of bizarre things happening from all parts of the state verdict-wise.

Get Well, beautiful baby girl!!

They're saying that Seacat is smiling on the stand and that is why he didn't want his face shown. Uh the jury can still see him right. He has no remorse. He was talking about his wife like she was a long lost friend. We see his face throughout the trial but not on the stand? Weird.

Yes Ted Rowlands said he was SMILING. blech
