i'm tearing up right now. Thank you for this. My little man is 12 right now and I'm dreading the day he leaves me.

Sorry, Auburn. Losing your baby boy is so heartbreaking. I have lost many babies, but we will see them again when we go to the Rainbow Bridge. We will run to them and gather them in our arms forever. They give us true love and care not what we look like. There's only love from them and we love them, truly.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Favorite song is...drum roll, Louis Armstrong "A Wonderful World". You've got to listen to it, it is beyond moving for any occasion. Wanted for my whenever funeral, but no, after 5 wedding gowns (I'm bad not them) did get married in Vegas on April 1st! Well, been there, done it and after 20+yrs. a girl just has to have a back-up plan. Number 1, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, OR April Fools, and you can even flip the order if it doesn't work out. Call me blonde, or smart as a fox? It wasn't the 5 1/2 carrot diamond ring, which I don't wear, it's in a safe at the bank, I wear no ring. Ring nor a piece of paper can own me. I have been married now for over 7 yrs. and am as happy as the first day I met Larry. I still can not wait for when he comes home from work. Never thought I'd get married again, when the I love...came out, I was gone. But Larry said to me, KNOCK KNOCK, (me) who's there, OLIVE,(me) olive who, OLIVE YOU...I was screwed.
Then of course he had to get really romantic and told me, he did not want to die alone. Crap I thought I heard it all, now do you get why I married him? Think he called me old now, when I look back. If I confused you, dye your hair blonde and re-read. SMILE xoxo

How romantic and lovely, Jacalyn.

My 11th grade Drama teacher use to talk about this song and the meaning.

She also used to rip yellow pages phonebooks in half. :floorlaugh:

You took "Drama" in 11th grade? I took "Creative Writing" and really liked it - They even posted some of my writings in the library - Can't you tell by my most enlightening posts here? :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I don't have kids so I take tons of pics of my fur babies. Whenever a coworker shows pics of their children I whip out my cat pictures. It's only fair. ;)

This is my little man tonight...

I kissed a lot of dam frogs but by the time I met a man that I would have children with, my body was too old. Therefore, my maternal instincts were shifted to caring for our dogs but I treated them as though they were my "babies". I had a German Shepherd when I met my husband who had our German Schnauzer...they were both very territorial and "we think" they were very territorial and would kill each other - We tested a couple of times and didn't trust the Shepherd. We had a fear that he would kill the little Schnauzer. We lost the Shepherd in 2008 who had a very rare disease, Bulous Phimpigoid or something like that where his own body cells were killing him. When our Schnauzer started to decline, it was just too much. My husband is ready for another dog, but I'm not ready. I think the next time, I want to get two dogs, so they will always have a buddy and never be lonely. OK, that's all.

I googled "Perryville Prison" today and there is actually a prison community website where they talk about that prison and what it's like and some people even claim that they are going there and wanting support on what to expect. I noticed there was at least one person that is a CMA supporter that asked something like, "do they have help for people with mental issues"?...Will not post the link here as I am trying to stay out of trouble here. Google will bring you there prison talk dot com perryville.....

:floorlaugh: How about "Debate Class"? I did, and mine was whether or not to legalize marijuana. I even had a clip from Woodstock. :floorlaugh: This was in 1991.

So what did your Drama teacher teach you about what this song means? I am assuming you attended school in Canada. Just curious...
