I know it is none of my beeswax..but have you considered going out of the USA for dental work? Medical tourism? Some of the hospitals overseas have the same accreditation as some US hospitals. http://www.bangkokdentalcenter.com/thailand_dentist/about_thailand_dental_JCI.htm My son was teaching English in Thailand and had to have his gallbladder out and it was so much more inexpensive than in the US. The hospital he had surgery at was not at Bumrungrad (that is a really big facility) but at a smaller hospital and he said he had excellent care. Nothing fancy, but a nurse actually sat by his bedside, a more holistic way of treating patients there. When he was in Amsterdam last year and got sick and went to a hospital there..he was treated very well..and it was very affordable.

Why would I want to seek out a Peridontist outside of my own country when we have the best right here in the USA? I was given recommendations and referrals - One in our State Capital (which is about an hour away) and one right here in my hometown. I will see the specialist in our hometown. Thank you for your concerns...

Amazing how Lisa Marie looks so much like her daddy. My DH and I were just listening to / watching some Youtube videos of Elvis, he was so awesome. I actually saw him in concert in 1975. He is/was an absolutely awe inspiring human being. I truly miss him, :(. What a loss for this world. Realizing that I am much too selfish to say I am happy that he's gone, I can say that I'm happy for him, that he is now free from the burdens in his life that created such misery for him on this earth. My DH, btw, is not a very spiritual person at all. Yet as we were watching Elvis sing "Bridge over Troubled Water" and "How Great Thou Art" , etc. , my husband's comments were, "he knew, he knew"....

I had a bad accident in Thailand. I ended up in a hospital in Chiang Mai for 11 days. My bill was $1400 and I had CAT and MRI scans + a private room with meals. (Although all I drank was OJ and Milo).

I had the best medical care there then I ever did or ever will in Canada. The rooms were clean and the hospital staff well-trained and my main Dr. went to school in Minneapolis.

Hanging in here since I have to take my antibiotic every dam 6 hours...Next one is due in 1-1/2 hours...Tooth still feels the same which isn't bad. Just another reminder to friends to not wait until a tooth hurts to go to the dentist...
