I was just listening to Tricia's radio show as I didn't get to hear it live. She has a great show with really interesting guests. I met Mark Klaas at the White House years ago. He has been such an advocate for justice and children. I really admired how he has increased awareness of child sexual predators from his own tragic loss. If you get a chance to listen, it is really good. IMHO :)

just back from shower and I feel so poorly. This happens to me sometimes when I push myself too hard, in the heat, mowing grass and stuff. Missing my mom always when I don't feel good.

I know what you mean daisy. I remember a year or so before my mom died I had this terrible nose bleed. It bled for hours! I was a grown woman with two kids, but I went to my mom because I was scared. She comforted me, and held cold cloths on my nose and behind my neck until it stopped. I'll never forget that, and I don't think we ever outgrow that.

The Queen is not coming for a visit, you know. :floorlaugh:
We need our Mommies to make us feel better- no one else could do.
:blowkiss: :rose:

I have to go to bed.....work tomorrow. Have
a good night everyone. I'm going to bed listening to the sound of thunderstorms in the distance. So soothing. :seeya:

I hope you saved leftovers for me. Sorry I missed the yummy brisket. Sweet dreams.

I saved all the leftovers for you! :floorlaugh: It really was tasty, and it's so easy to make - just follow my recipe. And if you do it in the oven you can thicken up the broth and make gravy.

A bit of prep, into the oven, and f'ged aboud it for 4 hours or so. Easy peesy.

Sweet dreams to you too Kelsie. Gotta go now peeps!

Losing people that we love, and that love us, is the hardest part of life, IMO.

What is the next big trial and who is it? Is it Andrea S.?

BBM I know everyone on WS uses this word for WSers, but I don't like it. Makes me think of stalkers- like missy. :jail:

Those are also hibiscus but a different variety than mine. The blooms are very similar. :)

Anyone know if I bring them indoors in the fall... Will they live? I would really like to keep them.

You can try but yours are probably annuals. Try anyway! If the stems "die", cut it down to the dirt and see what happens next spring.

Good night peeps. I need a better week this week than last week. Last week was pure hell. Looking forward to brisket and sweet dreams to all.

Someone explain this to me... I quit smoking cigarettes over three years ago... All night I am smelling cigarettes! It's making me nauseated.

Hibiscus require at least 1 inch of rain (or equivalent watering) each week. They like to be constantly moist, but not wet. Feed twice a month during the growing season and prune as necessary to control plant size and cut back errant branches. Cut branches back to just above a side shoot. Hibiscus are sensitive to cold and should be protected when temperatures dip into the 30s; container-grown plants should be brought indoors. Check plants periodically for pests such as aphids, white flies, and mealybugs. Use a horticultural oil or insecticidal soap to control these pests.

In NJ, you'll probably have to bring it in according to above website.

How strange! Spray a little Febreeze and see what happens. Just a little.
