I read up thread that the Alexanders want her to get the DP so CMJA would be isolated and in her cell 23 hours a day and not in the general population. If they are what is keeping a plea deal from being offered, how do you convince them otherwise? :seeya:

Makes sense, but wouldn't she only be in solitary for a few years before she's gradually moved into gen pop.? And wouldn't that happen anyway, regardless of if she gets life or death? I believe this is what I heard.

Do you think they should only take a deal if the defense agrees to LWOP with no appeals? That's the only way I can see it being worth it.

Agree with you totally. My question for Mrs G and you is how to convince the Alexanders to agree.

Sulamith a little later I will have "Sweet Ohio Rain" for all, maybe a bit of thunder and lightning to go with it! :floorlaugh: It has to be in the 80's yet and so muggy. They said rain~ probably have a tornado.:scared: Kids wont mind going back to school tomorrow if its a rainy day..:seeya:

No, DP convicts are in solitary confinement. No privileges it seems other than exercise in the yard for 1 hour 3 times a week. IIRC

IMO, I don't know. If it was me, I cannot see myself wanting to give on anything, even if it meant years waiting for her sentence. It must be very hard for them. LWOP with no appeals seems like a good option for them, if the DT were to take it, which I can't see happening. Get Jodi out of their hair forever. But it's what they want and can't say I blame them. But in the end, the choice is the state's.

Are you sure?

Pretty sure. KCL's sister's murderer sits on death row and that is just where he sits. Same seems to go for DP female convicts.

ETA He sits in prison in Perryville on Death Row.

???

What are you trying to say? What does this have to do with anything?

MeeBee, please go look at your post 544. You were talking about JA having some kind of vision about marrying TA. I am saying LDS/Mormons have a lot of visions.

Thanks. I thought I read that even if she gets DP she will be moved into gen pop after a few years. That makes sense.

ETA: come to think of it, I think you are absolutely right. I knew all this too reading about Milke and Andriano. I just needed to refresh my mind, lol. I remember now.

No I got it already. Jodi was pulling vision BS to play into the Hughes' beliefs. I understand now. I just didn't understand the connection you were trying to make. I was just relaying the incident that led up to the emails. Thank you! My mind has been out of whack lately. I think I need to step away from this trial for a while. lol

Now Zuri you know how I feel about this whole trial, they dont have to convince the Alexanders of anything. This was stated awhile back by someone in the know. They are trying to please them but they can only go so far. I thin she was made an offer like that and refused. She wants life with a chance for parole. I dont see her ever getting parole because the murder was so viscious. She would always be a threat to the population. J.M. doesnt want a plea either he wants to go all the way! :maddening: :seeya:

There ya go.! I was beginning to think I have been dreaming up this stuff!

Settle, cut a damn deal already!! I think a DP conviction will cost the taxpayers of Arizona a stupid amount of money and cause the family continuing grief, then she will probably die in prison anyway. I don't see the value in it. Cut a deal, let everyone move on, she already has a life sentence, she will never be paroled, I don't even see why they're going ahead anyway. JMO

Co-sign 100% with ya Mrs G.

The cost of a death penalty is outrageous - more $$ wasted by the taxpayers on this murdering 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.
Automatic YEARS and YEARS (likely more than a decade) of appeals are mandatory & accompany a DP.

Besides the waste of money -- dragging this out with all the DP appeals would keep the murderer in the news even longer. (just what she thrives on)

Lock her away in prison for the rest of her miserable life ... Only way out is in a prison coffin.

With LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT PAROLE ...
Waning interest in her, no more publicity, people would give up following her on Twitter, interviews would eventually cease as more current news and new cases peak the interest of the public.
She'd quickly become yesterday's news as the world moves along ---> THAT
would tick her off.

Just popping in real fast. (not suppose to be on internet yet- usage problems)

All male and female inmates on Death Row are classified as maximum custody. All inmates are single cells which are equipped with a toilet, sink, bed and mattress. Each Death Row inmate has no contact with any other inmate. Out-of-cell time is limited to outdoor exercise in a secured area, two hours a day, three times a week, and a shower, three times a week. All meals are delivered by correction officers at the cell front. Limited non-contact visitation is available. Death Row inmates may place two ten minute telephone calls per week. Personal property is limited to hygiene items, two appliances, two books and writing materials, which can be purchased from the inmate commissary. Health care is provided at the Health Unit; medication is passed out at the cell front. Clergy contacts are provided at the cell.

Hi MeeBee, I believe it depends on the prison. Not all States have the same laws. San Quentin from what I read is forever, Wisconsin (Dahmer) for the first few years. I know Arial is sharing a cell at Chilacothe in Ohio. Its always confusing with the death penalty too. We have it, have been using a new med just one instead of three. Had a couple drop like flies in just a few months. Ohio is second to go after Texas. With food bills, just feeding them is a fortune.:floorlaugh: :seeya:

Oops! Wisconsin does not have the death penalty. Dahmer had life no parole. He did go in GP. after a couple of years. Died shortly after.

I don't think they have to, it's Bill Montgomery's decision and his alone. Mind you, I guess it would be nice if they did agree before it was all signed off. I think the ongoing court appearances could be enough to turn them off if combined with strong assurances she will never get out.

Agree, take away her chances for appeal and agree not to kill her.

Thanks YoNo!

Zuri is right, in Arizona, where Jodi is, the death row inmates stay in solitary. It is hell Nore. I would not wish that existence on my worst enemy. See what solitary does to a woman on after just a few years. Sounds perfect for Jodi.

Do remember Thunder and Lighting by Chi Coltrane? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N63YxKsR5-A"]Chi Coltrane - Thunder and lightning 1973 - YouTube[/ame]

Personally, I have no need to see her in solitary for the rest of her life either. Life in prison is good enough for me.
