I just found the game "Hearts" on my computer today.
Anyone play?
I stink at it :floorlaugh: I just know the computer and those people "north, south, and east" are all cheating! :floorlaugh: they must know all the cards I have!!! :scared:
I did win one game out of 25

My family used to play such cut throat hearts. I love the game.

If you know the game well, the computer is too predictable and it is fairly easy to "shoot the moon."

I do miss playing that with my mom, dad and another sibling. It was great fun.

The reasons this may be a worse season than usual for the roughly 40 million Americans with allergies include expectations for a severe hurricane and tornado season, which could increase the spread of pollen through wind, and the presence of residual outdoor molds leftover from last year's Superstorm Sandy and other storms.

No wonder I'm having so much trouble with my allergies- never had allergies when I was younger- it just started about 10-12 years ago. :scared:

She might not see our posts at all. She doesn't come to the Sidebar too often.

I never played before and I don't really know how to play- yet. maybe I'll get better. (I still think the computer cheats :floorlaugh:).

It must be Sandra Bullock night on TNT...they've got Practical Magic on now.

A Time to Kill is the first dramatic role I've seen her in. I so enjoy watching her, especially in comedy...she's got great timing. If you ever get the chance, watch her in interviews...she is hysterically funny and so endearing. She seems like someone who is down to earth and would be tons of fun to meet.

Hey everybody! I am so glad YoNo and Daisy have me hooked on Frasier. I can't remember when I have actually laughed at a comedy on tv. I laugh at Duck Dynasty, but not like I laugh at Frasier. I loved "The Innkeepers" episode last night with the eels and cherries jubilee explosion. Feels good to laugh.

I remember an interview years ago when she was asked now that she made it big, what is something you like and won't give up .... and she replied KFC :floorlaugh:

Ok, has anyone seen "Reign Over Me" with Adam Sandler? About a man, a dentist, who lost his wife and children on 9-11. As far as I know this might be his first really dramatic type role, either way it's an impressive one, IMO .
After the tragedy he is obviously suffering from severe PTSD, pretty much non-functional, no longer able to practice, plays video games all day, living a disjointed and isolated life.

I remember watching the news during the immediate aftermath of those violent terroristic assaults on our homeland, our country, and sitting there sobbing while watching the burning buildings, and people jumping out the windows. Then hearing the frantic phone calls of the victims on the airplanes. I watched it every single day for like a week, it was unfathomable to me what was happening, the horror those poor people went through.

So what this movie does, at least for me, is really bring home the effect of the tragedy of 9-11 on a personal level. Excellent movie, but let me forewarn you, it might make you cry.

The day the entire world stood still. The images of that day will haunt me for the rest of my life.

I'd like to see it but don't care for Sandler at all .... thanks! I will maybe go.

Take it from me, Daisey, it's a whole new personna for him. I've always liked him though, so I could be a little biased. ;)
