OMG...this is one of the top stories on the MSN website right now.

Kanye West says when it comes to fashion, Kim Kardashian reigns supreme over every woman, including Michelle Obama. :floorlaugh:

I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Did not watch Salem's Lot. Must have been busy studying for the CPA exam...those years I did not watch much TV...either working or out partying.

Did anyone watch Dark Shadows?

I can remember rushing home from school to watch that program.

Barnabus and Angelique?

I loved Dark Shadows! I would get off the schoolbus and run home to watch it on the B&W tv. I thought Angelique was beautiful. The original Barnabus was cool. David Selby took over his role and I can't remember why. Anybody know?

(I missed a couple myself)

The dress she wore to her engagement surprise cost $6,800.00. OMG. Cost of a car, a horse, tuition...And it was a dress....

Granted I am tall and slim with no bosom, so I see the world through my eyes, but I just cannot understand how or why Kardashian dresses the way that she does. No amount of money can make up for a lack of good taste.

I watched the movie "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days" and Kate Hudson looked stunning to me in that yellow silk dress that she wore. No 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 to speak of, and she looked elegant. Don't know what guys think, but I know what I think.

Barnabus and Angelique?

I watched Dark Shadows all the time when it was on TV.
I found a DVD that had some episodes on it this summer in KMart.
Just loved that series.

I missed #1 and #8. Did not know the answer to #1 and could not remember #8. The rest were there like snap!

Kids today just don't know what they're missing.:floorlaugh:

Honestly, that is not true. This summer, we did have some fun threads reminiscing about growing up in that time, but there were some things about that era which were not so fun. The political and social upheaval were significant. I was only 12 in 1968, but I remember that year vividly with all of the violent events that took place. This was before cable TV and we did have breaking news throughout that year, including the assassinations of Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King.

I missed #13 and #14.
Don't forget the murder of JFK, but that was earlier than 1968, of course- 1963- everything changed when that happened, IMO.

David Shelby played Quentin and wasn't a vampire?
I'm going to look that up 'cause I can't remember :scared:

found this website and this about Jonathan Frid:

Jonathan Frid, it resolved his growing dissatisfaction with the role of Barnabas, and confirmed his suspicions that the role would leave him typecast. In 1971, when his contract had expired, Frid proved reticent to re-sign, and only agreed when offered the chance to play another character, Bramwell Collins....

Quentin Collins (David Selby) a Byronic teen idol afflicted with the werewolf curse.

What was KimK thinking? It almost looks like she didn't know she was blossoming in her pregnancy. I am built like she is sort of and there is no way I would wear that dress, pregnant or not.

Oh thank you. So Barnabas was always Barnabas until he was Bramwell. Quentin was a totally different character then. So much for my memories at 12-14. :floorlaugh:

She needs to do something about those breasts- don't they hurt her shoulders :scared: :twocents:
She was pregnant here??? What a dress. We had some cute dresses when I was pregnant (back then :floorlaugh:).

It figures, I missed no. 13..

I loved Jimmy Stewart. He was great in the Glenn Miller Story~Glenn Miller, In The Mood!:cheer::Banane21::genie::saythat:

OT: Who does Prince George look like? I thought originally he was going to look like Prince William. Now I think he looks like Kate's father. Anybody else?

It's a very hard figure to dress...full bosom, short waisted with a small waist and large hips. Other builds can find ways to accentuate certain parts of their figure and downplay others through cut, color/patter and style, but I think this build is probably the most challenging.

I had a close friend with this figure and remember how hard it was for her to find clothes, especially dresses, that would not make her look matronly.

And then you have the other extreme, which is to dress that figure in extremely tight fitting clothes and showing a lot of skin, which does not work either.

It was recently on netflixs...

Hi, my granddaughter has borrowed the whole thing from the library one year at a time. My son used to race home to watch it from hi school. It was the rage with the kids.:loveyou:
