I can't download GOT because it uses too much "bandwidth" - usage :banghead: (according to my son)- whatever the heck that is. I'll just have to find out what happens from people who watch it.

Are you taking all your things to Riga when you move- I mean car, furniture, etc.?

I like to watch the figure skating when I can- such beautiful costumes, music, and just very graceful.

It's -6 degrees here and I have to watch my faucets now because the pipes will freeze and I don't want them to burst. This afternoon, the faucets were running slow again and then just stopped running water for a while, so every 2 hours or so, I run the water. I don't know if I should stay awake all night to keep an eye on the faucets??? :scared:

re bold - I'll be taking my car, which I just bought last February!! But my mom's apartment has most of the furniture that we will need. Except my Huz wants to take our couch, which is perfect length for him, plus he just fixed up the stuffing and bottom of the couch and it's comfy. My mom has a very short couch and really "hard"! LOL! So, we will only be taking a few of our furniture; LOTS of boxes of my "stuff"!! :floorlaugh: Have to take my Mickey Mouse collection :mickey: and my Latvian vases and wood pictures! The Huz is getting to the point of "yes, we do have to move" and when he goes the other way, I just remind him we can go to the Formula One races in Europe and he can climb a mountain in Switzerland and yell "Ricola!!" :floorlaugh: - he actually wants to do this! Slowly but surely, getting stuff done around here!

Oh, on your pipes freezing - we were told, when it got down to the minuses here, to let the water trickle out of the faucet and that will stop the pipes from freezing. Don't know if it actually works??!! The Huz did insulate the pipes underneath our house.

Getting ready to take down some of our e-waste to the local high school here and then going to find some slippers for the Huz, as the ones I got him for Christmas were a bit too small - big feet he has! LOL!

i went and had a look at those bracelets,i cannot believe she has the cheek to ask for $25 for one...actually,wait i can.

i think it would be a great idea,if people could donate that $25 or a donation of any amount to Travis fund. would much rather see peoples money going to good use.

There should be a law that prisoners should not be able to solicit from jail. And is she paying taxes on this income?

Exactly she has been convicted of murder, yet is still free to make money off that. I thought there was a law about that

Theoretically, as in the case of CA, due to her sizable legal debt, anything she makes should be paid to Maricopa County Superior Court, her most capable defense team et al.

It is a relatively simple matter to obtain a judgment.

Collecting on the judgment, however, is a different kettle of fish.

I believe that the Alexander family will prevail in their civil suit against the lying torture murderess.

But will she ever be forced to fork over?

Not likely, IMO.

Appeals, schmappeals...

She and her family can claim that her confession was all a lie and that they're using the money, like OJ Simpson, to "find the real killers."

But that doesn't make it so.

I would think a person who sympathized with JA would be more likely to send money for an appeal than for her to buy ingredients to make chocolate cherry cheesecake. lol

Just a warning to anyone who thinks they have or are catching the flu.
Swine Flu IS apparently popping up all over the US. I was just watching the Olympic Speed Skating trials and one of the USA athletes was diagnosed with it (He has to drop out ). They also said that some others in Salt Lake were showing symptoms.

Just sayin', if you think you have any form of the flu don't try to tough it out, go see a doc and get checked out!
Like this chitty weather isn't bad enough, now we have flu pandemics to worry about....I am HATING this year so far :banghead:

Well, theraflu does not taste good, but you add it to warm water and drink it. Same with Alkaseltzer Cold Plus.

The Neo-Citran may be the same thing.

I swear in 2 days either of my U.S. suggestions can knock out the flu or cold. However, very vivid dreams are a side effect, and sleep, lots of sleep.

Going to look up Neo-Citran now and compare.

:floorlaugh: Yes, I believe Neo-Citran is the same as Thera-Flu up here. I bought some on my way home sick from work yesterday and I paid $8 for a box of 10 packets.

And, I do agree that this is the one to take when the symptoms hit. Been taking it for years, since I was child.

S/O is making homemade chilli tonight. I am pretty much staying put for the weekend, just resting and drinking lots of H20 and tea.

And read those warning labels on the cough remedies. If the cough or symptoms do not go away or get better you need to see a doctor. I took one of these years ago and was on it longer than I should have been and ended up with pleurisy. Doctor said the medication had dried out the lining around my lungs. Maybe the meds are better today. Just don't wait too long if you feel worse or if you feel you are not getting better. jmo
