I have been hanging out on the Jahi McMath thread. I have learned so much from the amazing medical and legal professionals on there. Funny how you can learn something in theory, but I did not know the pathophysiology behind so many things. It is really sad.

Has anyone heard from PSM's family? I want to send a card and note. If anyone gets the info, could you PM me? Thank you so much.

When I did a search for Jahi McMath on WS, I came across this post and thread and thought you might be interested in joining this class (free):
Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Scotland, is offering a FREE 6 week online course - An Introduction to Forensic Science

Here's the thread:

FREE online Forensic Science course, starts 06 Jan 2014 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

(it started on 1/6, but I don't think it's too late) I don't know if I will sign up yet until I get more info.
Might be of some interest to you. :seeya:
(just sticking my nosy nose in your business :floorlaugh:)

:seeya: Hang out!

I'm worried  ; I have these painful little white bumps on the sides of my tongue. :( Could it be a symptom from the flu?

Hello all! :seeya: It seems the bumps cleared up, but then I got a huge red dot on the white part of my eye. ugh

Now that has spread out and clearing up to?! Weird! Maybe my body is purging something out?

I have heard the Amish butter is also the BEST. I have yet to try it.

There's a local restaurant and they make their fries in duck fat! Sounds kind of gross but, it actually tastes very good with coarse salt. :)

----------

Hi neesaki, I can sit here alone with my dog, using the computer to my friends thinking of what I want to "chew" on and I can enjoy it. She never will. She doesnt deserve anything. A human life is gone. She had no right to do what she did. :loveyou:

And no pets! :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat:

Hope you went to the doctor.

Reality is to see a Dr. here is next to impossible as we have a shortage.

I only go to the Dr. for refills and anything major, like lungs, our anything extremely painful.

The healthcare in this country is not the greatest and it is getting worse.

They are talking about "Skype" Dr.'s ... hmmmm.

Good evening everyone. 50 degrees today and it was hot!!!!

Elle, do you think you might have a broken blood vessel in your eye?

I am like you, I rarely go to doctors. I hate the wait time and I usually get mad.

It's 33 F here!

Yes, it must be a bursted blood vessel but I was not coughing or throwing up. I read sometimes there is no explanation as to why they can burst. And it also does not hurt, except for a little irritation. It just freaks me out when people say: "What happened to your eye?!". :scared:

I have a broken blood vessel on one of my eyes, that is why I mentioned it. It just appeared one day many moons ago.

Joan Crawford- never liked her, but she was good in Mildred Pierce.
Although I thought she was a good actress, there's just something about her that was "too hard"- maybe her face? her makeup- those eyebrows? the shoulder-pads  something.
There's a good website on Joan Crawford here:

http://www.legendaryjoancrawford.com/herface.html

They talk about her "coming into her face"-
"Joan did a song and dance number which showcased her obvious dance skills but her singing voice displayed she wasn't a songstress. Joan also was very plain in her makeup, she had not come into her face yet and she lacked that sex appeal she would display in the near future."

and:
"The year 1932 was probably one of Joan's most successful years of her career. She made three of her best movies of career that year but it was also the year she displayed a new look. She had come into "her face". Her makeup and hair changed but also she had grown into a beautiful woman losing some of that baby fat that she carried in her face. She was absolutely stunning."

Maybe I just thought Bette Davis was always a better actress and picked up Bette's dislike and rivalry for Joan through the years? :floorlaugh: I do think
Joan was more glamorous than Bette, but still- there's something that- I don't know just what- that I don't like about Joan.

Did you ever look up some of the costume designers for the classic stars? Very interesting how they each knew what clothes looked best for the stars bodies. How glamorous.

"Adrian! Orry-Kelly! Travis Banton! Edith Head! Walter Plunkett!

These names conjure up images of glittery, shimmery, and glamorous movie stars wearing the most beautiful creations ever to grace the silver screen. These designers created the iconic images of Joan Crawford’s shoulder pads, Bette Davis’s red antebellum gown, Marlene Dietrich’s feathers, Dorothy Lamour’s sarong, and Vivien Leigh’s Scarlett O’Hara."

http://prettycleverfilms.com/costum...igners-in-hollywoods-golden-age/#.Us87Ip5dUqs

I have had some wonderful days looking up some of the classic Hollywood designers and ogling the beautiful clothes they designed.

This website- I bookmarked when I did a search on the designer Adrian.
Take a look for yourself: (if you're interested)

http://www.silverscreenmodiste.com/2011/08/adrian-fashion-line.html

(I'm still not finished reading that website. It covers classic film costume and costume designers. Very interesting).

I know what you mean, I never liked Joan Crawford either, at least until recently when I saw some of her earlier movies, amazing, how she was beautiful, and so soft and feminine. Compared to the later years when she was so, oh I don't know, hard, stern, almost a masculine look and aura about her. And what was with those eyebrows? :scared: I generally don't remember caring for her characters then either.

Until these recent movies I've seen her in, from 1931 - 1934 or so, in that time period. She looks like a completely different person imo, and her personality, different as well. And some of the movies are quite good, she did quite a few with Clark Gable :heartluv: ... Do I need to say that those are my favorites ? :loveyou:

I'm really wondering what happened in her life to harden her, could there have been some mental illness, etc., or, was she just a very unhappy person. Maybe she wanted Clark Gable but couldn't have him ? Idk, I do remember reading the book "Mommy Dearest" and seeing the movie, I have to believe it wasn't just an all out fabrication by the daughter.... very sad.

Thank you so much , Zuri. I wasn't expecting your post about your contact with Princess' husband, and before I knew it I was crying like a baby. How hard, and so very, very sad for Princess' family. Oh, those dear sweet boys. She was so young. I just can't imagine.

They were just tiny little bumps on the sides. It's all good now though. :loveyou:

Thanks for your concern, LambChop.

When it comes to white bumps I worry about strep. I have grandchildren that sometimes get them but it's not always from strep. Glad you are feeling better.
