Hey all! Just wanted to pop in and say hello. :seeya: Things are a little hectic around here and I've been reading up on the Darlie Routier case in my spare time. I'm finally working again!

I haven't read on the Sidebar for awhile....I hope everyone is doing well. I've skimmed through a few pages but haven't had time to go back very far. Nore, so sorry you aren't feeling well! Hugs to you, lady.

Hard to believe that this time last year we were all riveted to the trial. I was taking my earbuds to work so I could stream it live. I despise JA....words just escape me. What a circus this case has become!

I am really frustrated with the tone on the JS trial. IMO, the only people who weren't victims were the Doctors that didn't keep JS's husband in the loop, get her titled out, and monitor her medication.

I know WS is victim friendly, but JS is just as much a victim of a total lack of medical professionalism. She should have been institutionalized the moment she said "suicide" at any time. The VERY MOMENT. Depressed and in bed for weeks? Institutionalized. I will continue to blame the Dr.s unless something substantial comes up.

The death penalty is off the table, more than likely because the Pros knew with her mental history, they weren't going to get it. THAT says VOLUMES.

Yes, it's horrible, those poor children and husband, but labeling JS evil, self absorbed, etc., is a bit too much.
Bipolar with psychotic features is a horrible mental illness. Many DO self medicate with alcohol, many DO dis-connect, many DO have altered states of reality..........etc, etc.

Urgh, just ranting.

Wonder if any of her MDs are being called as witnesses? I'm leaning towards guilty because of her premeditation, but who knows what other things we will learn as the trial unfolds???? I watched my 2nd ex-husband go through psychotic episodes annually, the last 10 years of our marriage. And they were doozies.:scared:
He never became homicidal, just suicidal.........and his reality was, well, to put it mildly, TOTALLY bizarre.
Just a few choice ones:
I was poisoning him (he wouldn't even accept sealed/unopened containers)
My brother was poisoning him (ditto above, he got the idea from some rat poison in the attic)
His contacts shot lasers at people (so he flushed them down the toilet)
Other people shot lasers with their contacts at him (so he wouldn't look anyone in the eye)
There was something in the drain of the bath tub (I had to sit with him next to the tub to reassure him)
Jesus was coming and he had to meet him at Thumb Butte (He disappeared for 3 days)
He was Jesus and men were hiding behind the pillars in Safeway with guns to kill him
He didn't know who I was, or thought I was a "fake" duplicate of his wife
He had murdered a LE officer 100 miles away and the hospital was a prison (news broadcast he incorporated into his reality)
"Billy Jack" (Tom Laughlin) was his dad (again, suggested from a movie)
Drugs are bad, so after 12 hours at the psych ward, the techs had to use a "show of force" to medicate him
Satan was after him because his mother was a bruja (witch <the "bruja" part is true)
And he could "plan" for these scenarios/situations/his plan of action A, B, and C, and their outcomes for days...sometimes weeks.

Previous life experiences and the power of suggestion are readily incorporated into a person's psychosis.

The 2 scariest episodes ended up with him slitting his wrists at the dinning room table, and trying to run out in front of a semi to kill himself (LE caught and restrained him) because his "reality" was too overwhelming.

JS's docs should have titled her out, and given her a release to sign for all medical info to be given to her husband and had "power of Attorney/DNR" on file. That's what happened when my ex had his first episode. Even though I didn't have a clue about what was going on with him, I demanded it. He was so far gone, he signed it.

I did read in her emails that she refused to sign a release.........the docs should have picked up on that, specially with her 9 month hospitalization. "Paranoia".

Hi to all, I saw bits of N.g. and JVM.. JVM yelling so much I had to cut it. J.S. bought bullets 3 days before shooting, gun also. She bought hollow point bullets which rip the insides of a person. Knowing this I believe kills any thought of spur of the moment. This was premeditated murder. I know we must wait for the rest, but your own child? This woman has been juiced up on meds and dope for years I'll bet. My mother had DT.'s when she stopped drinking, in hospital..she was no where as bad as J.S. but didnt do drugs, just alky!!! I could never be on a jury for mom who killed child. Automatic B*!(H..:banghead:
On a lighter note~Noreen Lives :drumroll: The specialist was great. I do have
sciatica! It is tapering a bit but still hurts like He((.. I'm to take my pain pills and go back in 4 weeks. He aso presc. therapy. I cant go now as my car is firschumelled, must wait, may never have one again aas I cant afford a new (old) one. He can also give me a cortisone shot in spine if necessary.. I feel a lot better. I was afraid it was my hip. My hips are fine, reflexes, pressure ability good, cant ask for much more. Thanks so for all the good wishes. ((hugs)). :tyou:
