Put up peach and strawberry jam, baked french bread, made a big salad (not to be confused with just lettuce and tomatoes) and one of my best spaghetti sauces and meatballs (Adilia said I made "dirty "sauce") in a long time, and I'm tired. I love prep work. I put on loud music and cook away. I had a lot of time to think today. This was the song in my heart and on my lips today. He's coming soon.

Haha! My MIL? Bless her heart of gold, but she does not do her exercises like she should, and definitely refused to go to therapy. And she wonders why she has more trouble than most? I think she stretches out the sympathy as long as she can get away with it. (FIL has a debilitating disease and I think she resents the concern/attention he needs and uses these knee & hip surgeries for attention-getters. Of course, she won't say that. JMO).

Glad you are doing what you can to get back to full use and strength. Just be careful not to overdo.

My father had total knee replacement on both knees at the same time at age 82. He did his therapy as he should and did great. Now we have to watch that he doesn't do too much. He gets on the roof to do repairs or in the attic for things.

I like his attitude! Good for him.

Hi guys ! How is everyone ? Is YesOrNo still away ? What is bandwidth anyway , :dunno:

Oh well, I'll fill in for her with a couple of jokes :giggle:

Hope everyone has a nice weekend. :seeya:

Two thieves were robbing an apartment when one of them heard approaching police sirens. Seeing no other escape options, the first thief said, "Quick, let's jump out the window !"
His partner said, "Are you insane? We're on the thirteenth floor!"
The first thief replied "This is no time to be superstitious!"
------------------

Psychiatrist: So what brings you here today ?
Woman: It's my husband. He thinks he's a refrigerator.
Psychiatrist: Oh, Really ?
Woman: Yeah, and it wouldn't be such a problem, but he sleeps with his mouth open, so the light keeps me awake.

-------------------

A minister and a lawyer arrives at the Pearly Gates. St. Peter greeted both of them and gave them their room assignment. "Minister, here are the keys to one of our nicest efficiency units," he said. Then to the lawyer he said, "And for you , sir, the keys to our finest penthouse suite."
"That's unfair!" cried the minister.
"Listen," said St. Peter. "Ministers are a dime a dozen up here, but this is the first lawyer we've ever seen."

It's good that we stay alert & attentive to developments because the Arias wheels are constantly whirling and spinning. It would be awful to wake up and find she had actually grabbed some advantage or benefit. All of the imagination she fed into her convoluted, elaborate lies is now used to craft protests and complaints she hopes will bend Judge Stephens to her will. Of course, these are loaded with "victim's" emotional appeal.

Hi All, Tuba good to see you! On Arias, isn't Alexander family going to sue for wrongful death? They'd surely get it. Wouldn't that block her making any money from Travis' death? Boy I hope so. I think I read something a while back but cant remember what it said! :floorlaugh: if they dont want money from it they could donate it to a worthy cause. :loveyou:

  • #1,477
My understanding & recollection is that yes, the Alexander family is suing for wrongful death.

I've got lots of reading to do today- especially on the Hulsey thread.

See y'all later. :seeya:
