This could be a way for her to get new counsel. She could start the trial and then ask to be removed as her own attorney, and the new defense attorney would take over. I am thinking if she gets the new counsel the other two will be out. Didn't she try once before to get rid of them? jmo

She's been in a little cell by herself for a very long time with little to do but hate Travis and to get stoked by the 23 strangers -freaks who tell her she's a hero and innocent. No reality checks there.

Wow!!! I'm just stunned! I guess we should have foreseen this, but I really didn't. She admitted back in 2011, or whenever it was, that she was "in over her head" but now she thinks she's figured it out? Talk about having a fool for a client. My guess is that JSS could not refuse her because it's her right to represent herself.

A lot of you have pointed out how much time this is likely to delay things. I know JSS has said they're starting Sept. 8, no more delays, but it sure seems to me that the judge is going to be forced to grant some more time. That, after all, is THE strategy behind the defense no matter who is in charge: delay things until the prosecution gives up and agrees to let her plea to charges that will give her a chance at parole. I don't think that's ever going to happen, but they keep hoping.
