It's the font size:

This is the font on another website I look at:

"Are these own root roses? Where they planted at about the same time? How old are they? Do you feed them or the lawn near them?" (size 2 on WS)- Looks just right .

Big difference in size and it won't matter how many weeks go by because, the size becomes apparent again every time I leave WS and go to other websites, etc. No other website that I frequent has this size font. I feel as if everyone/WS is "screaming" at me, except in the quote box- that's normal size for me. Changing the size of the font every time I come to WS will be a hassle for me and I don't know how to do that anyway, so I have this problem every time I enter WS and then leave WS ( I have to adjust my eyes when I enter and then again, when I leave to go to other sites). :crosseyed:

4 font (too big)
3 font (still too big)
2 font (just right, IMO)
1 font (too small)

I feel like Goldilocks and the 3 bears.

Guess I'm just an old fart and this font change is a bit much for me.:sigh: Everything else is fine as I know I'll learn how to navigate WS again (of course, others may disagree with me about the font size and like the change- this is just my :twocents: and, I guess, my problem :gaah:).

(Thanks Spellbound for the big-lips kissy smilie :winkkiss:- you found her for me.)

:winkkiss:

:floorlaugh: Finally, I don't have to enlarge a font to be able to read! I must be a blinder and older fart than you Y/N. I could never read a size 1 or 2 font. Three is almost OK.....now if I could have a 6, I would be jumping for joy. You are sooooo lucky to have such good eyesight, sigh. Jealousy isn't a nice virtue, is it?

You are so welcome for the big-lip smiley. But I am finding the smiley page difficult to see .... They are so tiny now (but I do like the condensed page view) good and bad, give and take. :sigh:

YoYo ... you can reduce the font size by holding the CONTROL key and the - (minus key by the BACK SPACE key) down at the same time. To go to a larger font, hold CONTROL and + (PLUS) down at the same time. Did you already know this?

Groan! I stayed up most of the night watching the Oscar Pistorius trial. What a session! I'll be glad when that's over.
Slept most of the afternoon and now I feel like I'm in another time zone. We need another Florida trial!:moo:

Hi, I am having problems. I cant seem to get to last page of threads. I made it now but dont know how.:floorlaugh:

This is a revoltin' developement!! Beautiful weather here thunder in he distance right now. We haven't had rain in a long time.
Cleveland had heavy rain the other day but we had nothing! Rain stopped at the border. :tantrum: We need to pull weeds
and wait for a good rain. At the rate the rain is going, may cover the house with weeds. I have slept most of the last three
days away. :blushing:..:loveyou:

Those are some beautiful trout, Tex. :fish: I wish I liked to fish, but since I don't, at least I do like to eat them, lol. Btw, your post is making me hungry, though maybe not a good thing at 4 a.m. :giggle:

Haha, I was going to post this, and then got interested in Tex's post and started thinking about food, and totally forgot my original post

So, tonight we were out sitting under the stars on our very own patio, just minding our very own business, when he said "ouch", "damn, what was that" !? Then he said "a S** of a B******* snake just bit me, Hurry, raise your feet up! " . I looked over, while at the same time raising my feet up and propping them on the table, and to my horror there was indeed a very long, large snake slithering by at a fast pace, directly beneath me. :scared: Long story short, we just returned home from the ER a little while ago, and now I'm so wound up I can't sleep. I just can't stop thinking about that creepy, scary snake. :scared: Thankfully, my DH is fine, his ankle swelled up but apparently nothing systemic. But now I'm really afraid to let my dog out in my back yard . :fear:

Oh Lordy, Neesaki! That would be so frightening to me, my house would be put up For Sale immediately! Glad he is doing OK.

NORE: Are you clicking on the thread title, or the last page number below it? Also, when you open the thread you can click on "View First Unread" at the right, just above the first post on the current page. It doesn't necessarily go to the right post', but should at least go to "today's" posts. Does that help? (Sometimes that ViewFirstUnread doesn't appear on my page, tho)

I think there is something you can spray around the border of your property to keep the snakes away.

Oh neesaki that is terrible! Tell your husbad I'm glad he wasn't realy hurt! OMG.
I cant stand snakes! I think I'll keep my snow!:floorlaugh: :loveyou:

I hate snakes too, the odd thing is that we had just returned from out of town, and I told my hubby that we needed to check the back yard for snakes before we let our dog out. This, because I had seen a baby what I thought was a water moccasin, a week or so ago, and because we live on a lake, and because we've had a lot of rain, and because for some unknown reason our lawn guy didn't mow our grass over the weekend and it is taller than usual..... :sigh: well, he didn't take me seriously , just kind of laughed
Oh, the ER doc said they had four cases of snake bite the day before. He seems to think it has to do with rain, said rather jauntily that they're "hunting". :scared:

Lambchop, I will definitely look into the perimeter snake away spray.

:tears: :tears: sitting here crying, as my kitty cat, Emma, just diagnosed with fibrosarcoma cancer... :tears: :tears: The Vet says she can't do anything for her, but amputate her leg or let it take its course. We do not have any money for expensive surgery, so the Huz says we should let it go and keep her comfortable... :tears: :tears: I don't know what to do...

When my Mom lived in Kentucky they told her to pour bleach around the perimeter. I would think that washes away after a while though.

:therethere: Niner.
So sorry, I hope you can find a solution for your kitty :(

Niner, I am so sorry. We would not be able to afford that type of surgery, either, and it is my understanding that this type of cancer can reoccur (in another area) even if successfully treated now. I understand your pain. Keep Emma comfortable and enjoy what time is left.
