I am so sorry to hear your kitty is ill. The sad part is there is no guarantee it wont come back.
I know it hurts but it hurts Kitty too. You have my sympathy. I have been there too. Please
take care...:loveyou:

East Side. Cleveland has the RNC in 2016~glad I dont work at the hotel anymore! Wontcause a change around here.
the hotels are out farther and right next to 77..10 minutes at most to downtown. Ho Hum.:happydance:

Oh Niner, that is so sad, I'm so very sorry. It's so painful for us to lose our beloved pets... pets, ha... who am I kidding, they are a member of our family. So I know how you feel, because my dog is my little boy. Believe me when I say that I'm crying with you. :tears:

Update on Ms. MonaLou. Had court date today, and a liberal judge. In all it costs the dog's owner about three thousand dollars in fines, and he's still pissed about him being put out time and money, and still not sorry just a 🤬🤬🤬.

He isn't out any money for Monalou's vet bills, but was for his fines and repairing his fence what he says cost him five thousand dollars...I call BS , the fence is still falling over in places.

And he's a moron,,said the dogs weren't his, and dh stood up and showed the judge the report from animal control, and that it says in report that the two dogs were picked up in our backyard by them, and it was the man standing in court that showed up the next morning and claimed the dogs as his.

Good! ILike, I am still so sorry for the stress and discomforts you have had to go through. Too bad we can't pick up our homes and move them down the road away from such neighbors.

Thanks all for your sympathy!
It turns out she got this cancer from a vaccine shot!!! I have never heard of that before and my Dad was a Vet. The Vet I went to said even if she does surgery to take it out, it would come back more aggressive! So we will keep her comfortable and when the time comes....

"Where" is everyone reading these days? Any new cases coming up?

:seeya:

Haha, I was going to post this, and then got interested in Tex's post and started thinking about food, and totally forgot my original post

So, tonight we were out sitting under the stars on our very own patio, just minding our very own business, when he said "ouch", "damn, what was that" !? Then he said "a S** of a B******* snake just bit me, Hurry, raise your feet up! " . I looked over, while at the same time raising my feet up and propping them on the table, and to my horror there was indeed a very long, large snake slithering by at a fast pace, directly beneath me. :scared: Long story short, we just returned home from the ER a little while ago, and now I'm so wound up I can't sleep. I just can't stop thinking about that creepy, scary snake. :scared: Thankfully, my DH is fine, his ankle swelled up but apparently nothing systemic. But now I'm really afraid to let my dog out in my back yard . :fear:

Glad your DH is OK. How is his ankle today?

YoYo ... you can reduce the font size by holding the CONTROL key and the - (minus key by the BACK SPACE key) down at the same time. To go to a larger font, hold CONTROL and + (PLUS) down at the same time. Did you already know this?

Thanks for the tip! :loveyou:

It's been storming here for 3 days and I haven't been able to use the internet. :scared:
Just finished a storm now and finally- I'm here.

Hi everyone. :seeya:

:tears: :tears: sitting here crying, as my kitty cat, Emma, just diagnosed with fibrosarcoma cancer... :tears: :tears: The Vet says she can't do anything for her, but amputate her leg or let it take its course. We do not have any money for expensive surgery, so the Huz says we should let it go and keep her comfortable... :tears: :tears: I don't know what to do...

I'm so sorry that Emma has cancer. One of my kitties also developed that cancer, so I know how you feel, but she had the tumor between her shoulders that had metastasis to her lungs (according to my vet). It's really the "devil's choice" that you have to make. I'm afraid there are no real good options out there, even the evasive surgery will only buy her a bit more time. Either way your Emma may die. As the tumor in my Mittens was very aggressive, I had her euthanized to avoid any more pain for her.

I have researched cancer in cats and found that even if you do let the vet amputate her leg, the cancer may still come back in some cases.
What is really scary is that these types of cancer may develop because of the vaccines that are given to our pets.

Here is one article that may help with your decision (this one states that after an amputation, the cat can live a normal life):

Cancer in Cats: Fibrosarcoma

"...A diagnosis of fibrosarcoma is not an automatic death sentence for your cat; many cats live long and happy lives after the cancer is removed. But as with all cancers, it must be caught early and treated, or it could become life threatening. The chance of a fibrosarcoma spreading to the major organs is only 3%-5% if caught early. But if it goes untreated, that risk rises to 24%. Younger cats also stand a better chance of recovery than older ones..."

----

And this article says the prognosis of this cancer is bleak (even with surgery) and covers costs:

"Fibrosarcoma

"...Unfortunately, the prognosis for all fibrosarcoma patients is considered poor. Even with aggressive surgical and oncological intervention, over 70% of tumors recur within the first year...

The cost of initial diagnosis is typically less than $500. Further diagnostics to help define the extent of the tumor and its reveal anatomic limits can top $2,000. The cost of surgery itself will depend on the surgeon’s degree of specialization along with the size and anatomical location of the tumor(s) but $1,000 to $3,000 is most typical. Chemotherapy will typically add another $1K to $5K (depending on the protocol elected and the patient’s size) and radiation may range from $5K to $10K..."

This study/research done on 44 cats states seems to stress the size of the tumor in survival rates:

Prognosis after surgical excision of fibrosarcomas in cats.

"Abstract
Forty-four cats from which fibrosarcomas had been excised were studied for a minimum of 3 years, of until death. Two factors, tumor site and mitotic index, were found to be of prognostic significance, but tumor size, duration of growth, and histologic appearance were not. Following removal of fibrosarcomas from the pinna or flank in 6 cats, none died as a result of the tumor but 24 of 35 (70%) cats with fibrosarcoma in the skin of the head, back, or limbs were euthanatized because of local recurrence, usually within 9 months of surgery. The median survival time of cats with a tumor of mitotic index 6 or more in the head, back, or limbs was 16 weeks, compared with 128 weeks when the mitotic index was less than 6. Eleven percent of cats developed pulmonary metastases..."

Here's an article on injection-site cancer:

"Injection-Site Sarcoma (Vaccine-Site Sarcoma)

"...Despite the localized appearance of these tumors, microscopic branches of the tumor extend like fingers into the surrounding healthy tissue. During surgery to remove the tumor, these microscopic branches can remain and contribute to re-growth of the tumor. According to one study, as many as 62 percent of post-vaccinal sarcomas recur within 6 months after surgical removal....

Anyway, only you will know what to do about your Emma and I know how hard that is.

Whatever decision you make will be the "right" decision, IMO, for your Emma and I can only hope for your peace with that decision.

Praying for you and your Emma. :twocents:

:blowkiss:

So you have made your decision.
(should have read further and not researched :blushing:)

The Bryan Hulsey trial restarts on 7/14 (with JM as prosecutor):

Don't know what other trials are going on or are going to start (we should have some sort of alerts to trials that are coming up, IMO).

He's going to make a movie to let Jodi tell her side??? I hope he realizes that she talks and talks and talks and still says one of two things:

1. Lies. Over and over and over.
2. Nothing. Over and over and over.

And they want Angelina Jolie??? Seriously? Not in a million years.

“I’m in the process of a screenplay told from her eyes, what she has to say. People have seen what’s out there movie wise and the court proceeding and whatnot, but the $50,000 question is why? What happened and what were they thinking. I think there’s a lot people want to know, and I want to give Jodi an opportunity to tell her story.”

sorry if this is old news...I just saw it and it riled me up. :seeya:

Well, I hadn't seen it, so thanks for the link. Amazing. At first I thought the guy might not be totally detached from reality (he says he just wants to tell the story from her point of view), but at the end he says she's "hellbent on telling the truth." Is he kidding?

And Angelina Jolie? :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Wow, I am Southern and only got 70%, you beat me YorN. :shame:

What the heck is a pig pickin' anyway? :floorlaugh:

A pig you pick for the roast I guess. GROSS. I have not ever gone or will ever go to a pig roast. Nor will I ever eat anything that was alive an hour ago. Any meat I eat must come from a grocery store. So there!
