:seeya: Hi CII !

Just jumping off your post here about the "thanks" button: Many times I hit "Thanks" and poof -- then I get some message but the "Thanks" is poof !

So this is a "Thanks" to all that I missed !

This happens to me a lot. Usually if I refresh the page, the thanks button returns.

If KCL's experience with the 2 inmates that murdered her sister, that were sentenced to death is any indication of what is to come, I truly wish the Alexanders would ask to take the DP off the table. Does HER HEINOUS deserve it? YES. But the DP sentence will be on the Alexanders too. The appeals, the games, the manipulations, the cruelty will never stop. I don't know if they fully understand the lengths HEINOUS will go to to destroy their lives, more than she already has. JMV

BBM I think that's the way the new program is set up. Wonder if they can change that? It's very annoying, IMO.

It tells me to contact a moderator. I didn't know if I had been "bad" and is it just me? ykwim

The differences between Arias & Nurmi must be truly irreconcilable or Judge Stephens could have called them into chambers so as to arbitrate. Maybe this conflict & enmity should have been investigated in a meeting long ago. It is obvious that time has aggravated the problems.

Jen's Trial Diaries @TrialDiariesJ · now

#jodiarias is calling Chris and Scott Hughes

I wonder if Juan is going to bring up Sky telling Jodi to leave their home, and Jodi didn't, but went and sat at the table, and stared at her?

I do not believe in the DP at all, but I do believe that allowing this crazy train to continue is killing them slowly, one day at a time. I do not pretend to know a sliver of what their pain looks like, but I want them to have the happy, healthy lives they deserve. And while this goes on, while court appearances, continuances, motions, arguments, etc. carries on, is one more day JA wins and they lose. Let her rot, let the world forget about her. But that's just my .02

I agree and Jodi is basically threatening or blackmailing the court.

I would like to see the ruling be something like this:
"Jodi please stand. Nobody threatens or tries to blackmail the court. You have just proven you are unfit to represent yourself as an attorney. Nurmi stays and he is re-instated as your primary lawyer for the proceedings. Jury selection begins on XX/XX date.
Slams gavel down. Dismissed. "

Appeal city, I'm telling you. :)

Wilmott is a death qualified lawyer. Can't she either just take over or supervise Jodi if she continues to represent herself. Who needs Nurmi at this point?

If Jodi continues to represent herself, JW could be advisory counsel and no need for Nurmi. If she changes her mind, though, she's entitled to 2 attorneys because this is a capital case. Although that's not constitutional, just a court rule, so Jodi could waive that right I suppose and agree to proceed just with JW..... hmmmmmm. You guys are making me think lol. JM and the judge could call her on this bluff and say, OK, Jodi, we'll go with your plan to kick Nurmi out and have you represented by counsel again, but you would have to agree that JW is good enough to represent you on her own if we can't get a second attorney up to speed in the next couple of weeks. Otherwise, Nurmi stays.

This is exactly the kind of thing I've been wondering about. I think Jodi is really anxious to get certain people on the stand but is incapable of thinking far enough ahead to wonder what Juan is going to do during cross examination.

Why? To show that Jodi has some kind of mental/social deficiency? Sounds mitigating... ;)

They must realize that there's a very good chance CMJA will get LWOP, and let's hope that will be enough for them. If they had gone for less, might the outcome have been manslaughter or something?

I agree.

For the Alexanders, justice is a death sentence for their loved one's killer. I see completely where they are coming from with this and respect their wishes.

However, I do wish they would reconsider because LWOP would indeed be punishing for this murderer. She is one who loves to travel; she has stated that she would never want to stay in one place forever.

I just hate to think of this evil person having a hold on the Alexanders for what could amount to forever. I have no doubt that Arias takes pleasure in knowing that the Alexanders receiving justice is only the tip of the iceberg, that they may have to continue the fight until their last breath to keep whatever justice they receive. Even if they are not swayed by this at this stage, reality is such issues are highly charged emotionally and that kind of fight takes a toll on a person's health. Especially a fight that goes on for many, many years, a fight where just when you begin to relax it rears its ugly head again.

The Alexanders are resolved, I am sure, to fight the fight no matter what but it would be so much better for all if they could be free of this evil woman's hold--free to use their energy in other ways. Ways that would make Travis proud.

Perhaps that's when her stalking behavior started when she was caught outside their bedroom door TWICE ease dropping on their conversation with Mr. Alexander.

I am thinking the evidence in this phase will be limited to factors regarding the cruelty of the crime. I don't think it will be a mini trial. Testimony should be factual to determine how much the victim suffered. Am I wrong? And why should she be allowed to wear street clothes? I think that by law she is a convicted murderer, thus her clothing won't cause any bias. . Won't the jury already know that?

She has already been found guilty of aggravating factors, i.e., cruelty. I don't think it can be debated anymore, can it? Mitigating factors only. Like...she's young, she's oh so intelligent, an artist, a super-duper vocalist (she may even be allowed to break out into a chorus of "oh holy night" during her closing argument), has nice hair, loves animals, got hit with a wooden spoon, and so on.

Am I missing anything?

Even the Media is reporting that the judge said no more delays and yet she is considering this. I'm scratching my head here.

She has to. Jodi brought up the issue of not being able to interview a witness as a reason for a delay, and Judge Stephens told her that she hasn't seen anything to confirm her demand, and the witness will need to (remember Gus and his out of state phone call) be available by phone on the twenty second, for JSS to speak with them. She had to grant it.

Jodi's going to try to drive the bus over everyone. Hmm, wonder if Juan will call JDM I'd like to see Jodi cross examining her.

Can you imagine just what all she put Travis through?

OH and the c Lay person, that's old news, I think most of us heard and dismissed it when it Nurmi brought it up one time. We kinda said so what if they did had sex, two consenting adults, and three when Jodi said Travis wanted a threesome.

I agree completely. The problem after a murder trial is the crash. When you have been so focused on getting justice for your loved one, and then it is over, you are left with the "now what?" I wish the Alexanders well through their journey. Not easy at all.

I can't think how an attorney thinks and it could be mitigating, but I think any witness she calls will blow up in her face now. Juan is ready. Not that we will get the outcome we want from the jury of course but he will be ready for witnesses and make things blow up in her face, I predict. Ok, I can hope anyway!

I understand now. Please tell me. Whois JDM? Oh yeah. Dr. De Marte. Right?

Having read a lot of TA writings and having watched many videos, I actually think he would have wanted them NOT to waste one more ounce of energy on HEINOUS. He has moved on to the afterlife and hopefully is at peace. I would think he would wish that for his family as well. JMV
