Do you think the camera person don't know which giraffe he has the camera pointed at or are they messing with us? Or is Autumn having a problem

My barn camera went dark-- not a good sign. Think I will try to go back to bed. Sad :-(

Frustrating.

Little Kiko keeps peeking in - making sure mom's ok :seeya:

This is really nerve wrecking/racking (not sure how write the last part.....)

They should put up a sign or something to let us know how things are going.

I doubt she's having a problem. It's probably just so people don't see the people working with her. Some idiots might call it cruelty by mistake. JMO

Looks like Walter is getting agitated

Walter is a tad upset. He wants to go over the fence. He wants to be with his girl for comfort....

I wonder if Kiko's birth was shown live or if it was like this.

Something's not right. They always show the birth.

Yes, there is video of Kiko's birth. It's on the bottom of the zoo cam page somewhere.

Yes, they film it and show it, but is it shown live or is it only available after the fact? If so I wouldn't worry now.

Maybe she's having twins. She was really big, was reported she gained 300 pounds.

I just posted it. This birth is different, but ok Dan, I'll try and relax lol.

From the view i had, it was most def. breech, and i don't know enough about giraffe births, but breech horse is much tougher and vet or someone usually has to get involved. They would move the camera off her, or at least not make it live, until they know what they have to do. We may get footage afterwards but since it could involve emergency measures, don't want that on camera. Just fingers crossed they get baby out quickly. Thats the key. C'mon Autumn... you can do it!
