I was going to try to sleep some, but Ms. MonaLou surprised me by jumping on me after she'd been sprayed by a skunk. I'm glad we stock up on the recipe.

Update O/T They caught all three of them. This guy has LWOP. he should never walk the streets again. People are po'd he isn't in a high security prison. That will change..

I have a recipe that my vet gave me and I DID have a couple of occasions to use it! I was amazed at how well it works. Take dawn dishwashing liquid and mix with peroxide and baking soda and rub paste all over animal that was sprayed. I let it sit for a few minutes before washing off. It was a miracle!

Zoey......I'm probably not that far away from where you said you'd be. Are you there yet? If so, I hope you have a chance today to go outside, take a few deep breaths, and find a sliver of peacefulness.

It is a gorgeous day here...sunny, the slightest bit of autumn in the air this AM. If you're near a river you can probably hear what I'm hearing now- songbird calls, a slight breeze rustling through trees still fully green leafed, perhaps even the disapproving clucks and whines of a squirrel warning away a wandering cat (one of my cats is in the window taunting squirrels).

You and yours are in my thoughts.

No foal yet, it's maddening! Was outside Wednesday night around 11:00, just checking things out. Was sitting on the quad, Kissy came up and put her head against my arm..........and dozed off! I guess horses have always felt safe around me. Zubaz will lie down, I can sit next to him and throw my arm over his back, give him about 10 minutes and he's SNORING.

Got up too early this morning, 5:00. :gaah:

Forgot to mention I killed another Mojave Green rattler on Wednesday..........:snake:.......it was very pregnant, put it in the freezer with all the rest. Plan on skinning all of them this winter, have a feeling it's going to be colder than a well digger's azz this year. Maybe we'll get that 3' of snow that's eluded us for the last decade.

Awesome news on your front! So relieved you got DH started on the VA! Make sure you use every opportunity you get to just chill out, put off some of those household tasks that can wait. Take advantage of everything the VA has to offer because this journey will leave you exhausted, so rest when you can, let the VA provide transportation if driving is frustrating, and don't get stuck thinking about the "what if's".
90% of the carp we think will happen, never does, and the other 10% isn't half as bad as we thought.

OK, not that others haven't said so time and time again, but until you really get a good look @ some of the JA fandom, you don't really understand the depths of their delusions, distrust of the legal system, and in some many cases, just plain stupidity. I've been reading on twitter for the last week or so - up to now I've read a couple blogs or whatever, but primarily read here. But what I had read before was nothing like the daily comments these people make. Those people are nuts! I'm not saying anyone that disagrees with me is crazy, not at all, but these 'ring leaders' of her groups and their assorted groupies? Nutbars and/or grifters. I just didn't fully realize what they actually believe and how little they understood from the trial, evidence, etc. Then you have those that just simply have the hots for her - that's a whole other thing. I think I've served my twitter time now and need a few really long, hot showers! I'll just stick to Jen, WAT or regular media for twitter news in the future, but it was an enlightening experience and I don't have to wonder how anyone could support her any longer. It is, however, a relief to realize that none of these people could ever make it on a jury. Doubt many of them could even find the courthouse! Just thought I'd share my impressions...

The latest CMJA-driven drama has been a civil war between factions of her hardcore fan group. Over money. Specifically, who gets to run which webpage that solicits funds for her and for what. Turns out that Auntie Sue is overseeing PayPal donations and that CMJA's chief goal is to have money funnelled ("laundered," as in,out of the Alexander family's reach) through family members.

Her illegal phone call was to express support for one of the factions and to humiliate the other.

No, she isn't going quietly into any night willingly.

I listened to that part a couple times and I hear it as JA being OK if her peeps need to unwind with some of that money. Am I hearing it wrong? Seems to me a few donors would be interested in knowing the funds may not all be used for purpose outlined at solicitation.

I had 2 dogs get skunked twice in the same day. I bathed them in tomato juice and hydrogen peroxide and water of course. Totally disgusting but it worked. I had googled it to find out what to do.
