YorN, I'm not sure that anyone went to that house. It could be that she wants the P.I. to go over evidence that was used in her guilty phase. This "going to the house" idea might well be an internet rumor based on some typo. At least that's my guess. People really ran with it.

It's pretty obvious that she's going to try and revisit the guilt portion of the trial. Don't think she'll get very far. She has been found guilty.

Thanks for posting those tweets yesterday. I had a busy day at work and looked in when I could. :seeya:

That's an interesting article. What's also interesting are the comments following it. There's a die-hard Jodi supporter on there who pretty much took over, as those people will, going on and on about poor innocent Jodi. Pretty obvious from his language that he's not American and is most likely British. Why is it that so many of her supporters are from the UK? Really weird. I assume this is not GB since he and Jodi have allegedly had a falling out. I do find these folks helpful, though, because they only appear when things are going really, really badly for Jodi.

There is no death penalty in the U.K., for one thing. People who are against the death penalty will often sympathize with murderers if there is a death penalty in question. Also, the U.K. has a history of fascination with crime--lots of crime writers and readers there. Remember Sherlock Holmes? This is just my opinion, but it's all I've been able to figure out.

I'm against the death penalty too, and there is no death penalty in my state, but I don't see the logic in defending convicted murderers to make that point.

Good morning all. :seeya:

Part 2 of the hearing today (according to Jen)?

This look of her reminds me of the "mean witch" lady that took Dorothy's dog in the Wizard of Oz. You know, the mean lady who rode her bicycle and put Toto in the basket on the back. :back:

I think she's trying to put an idea in a potential juror's head. You know everything she says is the truth. I'm still pissed about wanting her pi to see the house. There is nothing there for her. Maybe they need to find her hard drive that she brought with her and see what's on it.

she thinks she is going to have a retrial and will be found innocent....she does not get it that she was found guilty in the first trial and the second trial is for sentencing....

I- Like: ("I need to do this early. I burned my hands when I was taking chickens out of the rotisserie this weekend and my blisters are getting in the way")

Ouch! That is awfully painful! Hope they heal quickly ---- you need your hands for almost everything and it gets hard to keep injuries on them from being re-injured or getting dirty.

I want to know why missy:jail: needs the "hard drive". What hard drive is she seeking?

Jen's Trial Diaries @TrialDiariesJ · 18h
#jodiarias wants a hard drive from evidence

I hate how she gets to look at evidence just because she is now a "lawyer".

And who is this PI and what is he being told to look for at Travis' house?

'Morning Y/N, I believe she's seeking the hard drive from her computer that was damaged (no idea how) and repaired (by TLSI) and a mirror image of it was made, there are quite a few requests, notes and motions about this hard drive on the docket (look onward from Oct. 2012) but minute entries are skimpy on detail, lots of exparte and sealed records regarding it, but it has been of intense interest to the defense.

Do you have a guess on how that hard drive might be important to mitigation in any way? Seems to me a lot of the stuff JA is requesting access to is to try to refute guilt rather than mitigate. Unless she hopes to make the new jury think the first jury was wrong in convicting or finding of cruelty--which she might then claim is a mitigator?

Is this going to have any live feed? First there was none then there was 1/2 hour delay...is the hearing live? Will the DP phase be covered? :jail:

You are thinking of Jill Hayes. She was the last psychologist to testify--lovely southern accent, very competent. Licensed in Louisiana and Arizona.

She claimed (yeah right) she wanted to die versus spending life in prison....so my question is this....why is she putting up a fight? Why not let it all play out???? So sick of her.

Her team has had good success in shrouding the contents of this hard drive in secrecy, there must have been good reason for that, whatever is on it she seems to think could help her and they believed it would hurt her, imo. I do think she's trying to retry the guilt phase, heck, if there's doubt about her guilt how could they levy the death penalty? lol Wasn't that pic of the man's organ pulled from this hard drive or is my memory of the details getting worse?

BBMs Opposition to the death penalty does not arise from misplaced sympathy for convicted murderers, IMO. I have no sympathy for the missys:jail:, the Mansons, etc. of the world. On the contrary, murder demonstrates a lack of respect for human life. For this very reason, murder is abhorrent in any form, is immoral in my eyes, IMO, BUT, even tho' I do not support the DP, I do support the victim's family in what they want for their justice for their murdered love one. Some people, I guess, go all out in their protest of the DP and it doesn't matter to them how they do it or maybe they have stronger convictions than I do when it comes to the DP??? And some people just see their own thing- everyone has different interpretations of what they see, hear, etc. -maybe from personal experience/vendettas about "abuse" (in this case), etc. and they may think that missy:jail: didn't get a "fair" trial. Pftt to that, for me.

The U.K. does have lots of people who are against the DP and they seem to criticize the U.S. a lot because of it (no wonder we wanted our independence ). I personally like that we are a diverse group of people in America and can freely keep what we feel is right and still be a nation. Anyway, that's all my thoughts, too. :moo:

That mean lady is Miss Gulch (and missy:jail: does remind me of her ):

I don't even know if today's hearing is on- no Tweets from Jen yet- not even a Boo from her about it.

We will only get tweets.

She changed her mind about death in deference to her family.

There's supposed to be a witness interviewed today (the one that was postponed yesterday). I have no idea what that means. Is this witness being questioned under oath in the courtroom or what exactly? I was really confused by a tweet yesterday, can't remember who from, who thought today's hearing might be "live." I wonder if they meant that it might be open to the press.

So maybe there is an interview going on but it's closed to the press/public. That's all I can figure.

"..."One way to think of this is the scandal and everything that happened killed my brother very quickly," Andrew Madoff told People magazine last year. "And it's killing me slowly."

Too bad Bernie Madoff's 2 sons are now dead- the sins of the father are visited upon the children, or so "they" say.

BBM. I don't think opposition to the death arises from misplaced sympathy for murderers. I think misplaced sympathy for murderers arises from opposition to the death penalty. In other words, opponents to the DP are trying to point out why it's wrong because this person is innocent. People would be a lot better off if they'd just say they're opposed to the DP and be done with it, rather than making ridiculous assertions that Jodi's innocent.

I was totally opposed to the DP for many years but now find myself conflicted over the whole thing. It seems like there are too many Jodies in this world that can't be "fixed" or rehabilitated, and will continue to ruin people's lives, even from jail. JMO and all that.
