the shelter named him "sir reggie," and the kids wanted to keep it...we call him reggie obviously...

i wanted to name him "elton," but i got overruled

thank you! one of the best decisions i ever made <3

Reginald Dwight is Elton John's real name. So in a convoluted way your doggie is already named Elton. Hahahahahahahahaha

That's my little Zuul. He's a 1.5 year old pitbull. He thinks he's a cat.

What beautiful colouring he has!!!! Does he have cat family he's trying to emulate?

Small town. Teachers who are oblivious. New friend of my son. See him on playground after school, crying hysterically. Ask- what's wrong? Answer... I accidentally hurt someone so bad he just got taken away in an ambulance. But, there is no ambulance, which I say to him 3 times, and he replies 3 times, yes there was. Then he says... my mother is going to punish me so bad for this. I say, whatever happened, I'm sure it was an accident and your mom will understand. He says, you don't know my mom (which is true), then says, she is going to beat me so bad. I ask-- you mean spank you, right? And he said, no, she beats me. Then cried more.

He's come over to our house 3 times since, and each time I have seen more and more subtle signs of what I'm pretty sure is emotional abuse. I've never seen bruises or broken anything, but don't think that is necessary before someone needs to worry about this child.

Experience with this, please?

Call the county where you live and ask for Child Protective Service and ask them to perform a wellness check. You may also call the school guidance office, use a blocked number if you worry about small town issues, relate that you have concerns both physical and perhaps emotional....they are mandatory reporters.

Wasn't she in another rental car too when that stuff was found?

Yes it was. Spine chilling to read that she had packed two big hunting knives in with her books. I'd like to see the titles on those books...maybe one was "What to Do When the ***** Hits the Fan" (actual book, but it's about urban survival, not fleeing from justice).

wardrobe circa 1988.

:floorlaugh:....I think she brings a bit of "pizzazz" to the courtroom, I've kind of enjoyed every morning, waiting to see what couture she will be sporting for the day. She walks back and forth like she's on the catwalk in Milan. Circa 1988 or not, the girl knows how to "work it"! She's been a great distraction during sidebars and 10 minute recesses......."You Go, Girl!!!" :floorlaugh:

At least they didn't list "aspiring singer" as a mitigating factor. We'd all have to sit through "O Holy Night" again!

"If a dog will not come to you after having looked you in the face, you should go home and examine your conscience," Woodrow Wilson

...Or back away very slowly, in my experience.

My understanding CMJA was " observed" when she started packing the car, Yreka police arrested and detained for Az, fearing " flight". I am uncertain when the 9 mil and knfe was found in the car she planned to travel in. Anyone?

Some knives (plural) were found packed in some boxes in the trunk of her getaway rental car. The new gun (because it was always her hope to one day become a responsible gun owner), was found strapped to the engine (block?) later when the rental car was serviced.

You know, the number of viewers has dropped steadily since we stopped talking about food and moved on to pets. Come on, folks! We're talking puppy pictures!!

...maybe everyone got hungry and went to eat....I did.

And I still am tempted to mail order a Chicago Deep Dish to the NW. Genos or Lou Malnatis....

I'm a college professor. I'm entirely used to the idea of nobody listening to me.

:floorlaugh: Well, as a parent, I could say the same! :floorlaugh:

I think you nailed it! JVM showed video of him leaving the jail and walking to his car. There was a BOUNCE in his step. (Who knew he could move that fast?):seeya:

He didn't look as heavy as he does in court. Could it be suits made him look heavier? What say you. moo

OMG! I want one!

LOL I would be happy you have you "sit" for a day or two. She is one busy lady and it takes all 3 of us to keep up. The only thing she has managed to chew was the door trim. Eyes on her at all times. Luckily I can flex my job hours and work from home at times. I went part time a few years ago. She is a full time job LOL but we love her to pieces. She is learning quickly. End of day I am exhausted. It's a good exhaustion. Some days as only being human I felt a bit confined and frustrated and I thought of Jodi :floorlaugh: I am free to watch a puppy play. Watch her discover the world outside. Bond with her. It's just the best. Not that Jodi would even care about those things. Only good thing I can say about hearing the name Jodi Arias is it reminds me I am truly blessed.
