Omg. Was it really necessary for Squirmy Nurmi to detail every single sexual encounter Jodi has ever had with Travis? It put me right off my lunch. And why did she cry when she was shown pictures that Travis supposedly sent her of his penis? I felt for his family having to see the photos of it. They are really trying to portray Travis as a sexual deviant, but she's no virgin and made no objections to having sexual relations with a man she wasn't in a relationship with. I feel quite bored with Jodi's defence testimony tbh. I can't wait for Juan to start with her but that is still 6 videos away. How are the jury staying awake? I'm expecting details of every meal she ate from June 2007-June 2008 if Squirmy Nurmi continues in so much needless detail.

Hey at least you are watching on YT and can whiz by several days at a time. In real time, that crazy nut was on the stand for 18 days, almost 3 weeks! That was the longest excruciating period of time!! I was literally unable to watch her, and I was on here every day reading what WS'ers were saying to keep up to date. Now, I DID watch and thoroughly enjoy seeing her when Juan was crossing her. I watched every minute of THAT. Just wait. Make some popcorn. It's a real Show.

Hope I am so sorry! And to show you my ignorance, I thought encephalitis killed immediately. Twelve years? What can you do for it? I am so glad you didn't use steroids. They are so dangerous. Do you lose your memory from brain swelling? Do you have to take medications? That just breaks my heart. People go through things that we never even imagine. You must get so frightened. Thank you for sharing this. I actually don't know of a doctor around my area who even knows much about RMSF.

We are also looking for a new family MD. Ours overdosed my husband at the hospital last week after he had a heart cath and I almost lost him. His heart rate dropped to 23 and he went into a seizure. I had told our MD that he couldn't take all those meds because my husband never even takes aspirin. He gave them to him anyway. The cardiologist was furious. He said my DH didn't need them. As for me? I didn't know I had this RMSF stuff and for two nights I watched him breathe just to make sure he was ok.
But I have to testify over and over, God is with us, watching over us and heals us.

I can't imagine what you must have gone through with your husband!! Thank God he survived that doctor's ignorance! It is terrifying to not be able to trust the doctors who are supposedly there in life or death situations.

No, encephalitis doesn't always result in immediate death. My brain swelling has caused parts of my brain matter to die, thus the brain damage which shows up in all kinds of odd ways, including memory loss.

And yes, Lyme can bankrupt. We had to take our son 300+ miles away to be treated by one of the very few docs in the US who treat pediatric Lyme.

Fortunately for us, I was diagnosed with Lyne by a bullseye rash when I first got it. I was woefully under treated which is why I still had it, unknowingly, and why my son was born with it. But at least 5 years later it was possible to figure out what was so horribly wrong with both of us.

I tell you what. After the revelations about Jodi's sex life and the photos of her that were shown I feel like stabbing myself 29 times, slitting my throat and shooting myself in the head!

Hope, I am so sorry about the way you found out about your Lyme Disease. I, too, was feeling sick for several years before finding out why ---- that unknow was the most stressful part.

Thanks to you and Curious for the info on RMSF and Lyme Disease. It has been eye-opening.

Be well as possible, ladies.

Curious in Indiana...about encephalitis... I've had that for 12 years. Awful stuff.

I've had days when I got into my car and have forgotten how to turn the key to start the car. Days when I walked into a store and didn't know where I was - even what city I was in- much less why I was there. And worst of all- days when I absolutely panicked because I had absolutely no memory of where my son was- home? School? Somewhere else??

OMG. I was diagnosed with encephalitis several years ago and there were customers who would come to my barn, and say I talked to them, and I wouldn't remember. Thank goodness I was treated and recovered. I can't imagine having it for years. I ran a high fever the entire time I had it, which is why I thought it was a sinus infection that had gone into the flu. Do you still have it?

And they DID treat mine with antibiotics and steroids. The steroids made me immediately feel better. I remember that.

Well, I didn't feel like killing myself, but I wish someone would silence HER!

I have just read a lot about RMSF as a result of this thread. Very educational. I live in one of the states that has a high incidence of RMSF according to the CDC, and I have to say I had no idea the incident rate had spiked in 2010. Dog ticks are the primary vector. Sometimes, I think people get confused between Lymes and RMSF.

Lymes is really prevalent where I live and I know many people that have it in various stages. Lymes often mimics Multiple Sclerosis symptoms, including brain lesions, and because testing sensitivity varies, diagnosis and treatment is not consistent.

The Lyme specialists have had to go off medical protocol to treat patients as symptoms vary so widely. And of course, medical insurance won't cover a lot of the treatment. This is a silent epidemic that does not have the attention of the pharmaceutical companies, but does have the attention of NIH. Studies are being conducted, but it may be another 5 years before an effective medical protocol and medications will be available. In the mean time, people are suffering. Ridiculous.

Thank you very much for this post, Zuri. It's 100% right on target and accurate.

There is another tick disease that my doctor's wife had last year. My doctor boards his horses here at my barn, and his wife is my BF. She literally woke up fine, after coffee was outside weeding, and quickly became "sick". Bill was at work, so she called me and asked me to take her to ER. Same symptoms as the others. It's called ehrlichiosis. She's fine now. And Bill was taken to the hospital about 2 months ago, and they tested him for everything including meningitis but nothing in the tests showed positive, so they concluded it was a tick bite. He's fine now too. I think a lot of people get one of these tick diseases, are not correctly diagnosed, but whatever treatment they get fixes them and they never know what it was. Last year I was hospitalized twice, once for cellulitis in my face (there are pictures of my face on here somewhere) and the other time for unknown reasons. After Gayle got sick, she said I bet that is what you had too. I had the symptoms. Who knows?

Does Jodi Arias Deserve To Die?

"...So to answer the question, yes Arias deserves to die, but will she? No chance. She is a master manipulator on the world’s biggest stage. At least one juror will see it her way...."

I really hope this doesn't happen in missy's:jail: trial: :scared:

Goodman trial juror DeMartin sentenced to 5 months, 29 days in jail

"...Circuit Judge Jeffrey Colbath sentenced DeMartin to five months and 29 days in jail for failing to tell the court as a prospective juror that his ex-wife had once been arrested on a DUI charge and later conducting a forbidden drinking experiment just as he and other jurors began deliberating Goodman’s case...."

Am I the only person who doesn't think CMJA is pretty? I think she's really quite plain. Travis's other girlfriend, Lisa, is much prettier. JMO.
BBM - Agreed. She definitely needed a LOT of makeup to go from plain to somewhat attractive, thus her constant obsession with wearing it all the time. All that makeup can't cover the ugly within however.
