On Nancy Grace tonight, Nancy reports that whenever possible Arias holds up her hand to display her horribly bent/injured/victimofdomesticabuse finger for the jury to see

IMO that finger was injured when her knife got slippery with the blood of Travis and she knicked the tendon

Pics shortly before the murder show it appearing normal

Prayers for the Travis Alexander family that they may be strong today (they had a rough day yesterday): :candle:

Ready for another day. Detective Flores I believe will be on the stand. He's steady and will remain calm, whatever the defense tries to spin and then we have Juan that will that will set them straight.
And a Good Morning to all here.

I suppose Juan couldn't make her show her finger to a medical doctor/orthopedic surgeon but I always wish they had had one in the main trial. Then they could testify that it was consistent with her finger sliding off the handle of the murder weapon and onto the blade slicing her tendon. That seems to happen quite often when a murderer attacks someone with a sharp knife. In the frenzy they also can get cut because the blood of the victim on the knife makes it so slippery.

Even OJ sliced his finger when murdering Nicole and Ron.

Good Morning all. Still bogged down at work - usually this time of year at work is quiet - but not this year. I feel so lost without
my WS friends. I keep wondering what Daryl is going to say. The mentally ill girl was a wonderful step mother - blah blah blah.
Daryl, we know the truth - it was all probably a sex romp (young woman and older man) type of relationship. THe killer probably used you
to get away from Yreka. I hate that this trial will last so long - I am so afraid that the jurors will see the mentally ill killer girl as a human.
I am thinking that the mentally ill killer girl turning away as slaughter pics are shown or bowing her ugly head are all some type of
'see I have remorse' thing. Will check back later for updates. I am really missing WS but you know how it goes, the pays have to be paid, so off to work I go.

1966 - The Surpremes release A"Go Go". They were the first all female group to make it to the top of the charts.

Coincidentally, Motown: The Musical opened in Detroit (Fisher Theatre) for a four-week run. DH and I will see it on November 9.

I was out for several hours yesterday during which time news broke about the shooting in Ottawa, Canada. I watched CNN's continuous coverage of the aftermath of the incident and didn't learn about a second juror being dismissed from the Arias trial until last night when I read updates here. Par for the course, I'd say, with much more drama to be expected in the coming weeks. Jodi must be lovin' it ;)

Thoughts on the discreprencies as to if Dr Horne and Detective had a discussion regarding knife or gun first anyone? I have been discussing this with others and wanted my WS ers thoughts... it seems to be the consensus of many I have talked to that Dr Horne is lying... I did not realize it was such a huge debate with the public as to if the story was changed to fit the states theory...just as the shot first vs knife first...just wanted thoughts on those who I have followed along with from day one as sooooo much has happened in this case... gotta run, but will be sure to catch up with yall later....

I decided during the guilt trial that it had to be knife first. If Travis were shot in the head first he would not have had defensive wounds on his hands, at least to that degree. IMO that makes the so-called discrepancy moot.

Well... I agree... the big controversy is over is Dr Horne lying about having the conversation with Detective Flores... I say no... but I am surprised how many think he is blatantly lying...

Really?

I have found no one in my inner circle that believes Dr. Horn lied about anything. Not one report written by Dr. Horn states he thought the shot to the head came first. In fact it wasn't even an issue until he was deposed by the defense and they have his statement then that he thought the shot came last.

It makes no logical sense to me that the shot to the head came first. Especially when the shot was made as the murderess was standing over him. I think she fired the shot when Travis was already at the point of dying or dead. I think it was when she dragged him back to the bathroom is when she fired the shot and then pulled his body into the shower after then.

The blood was underneath the bullet casing only which means Travis was already losing blood when shot. No blood was found on top of the bullet casing.

I think the jury will believe Dr. Horn because his testimony is logical and makes perfect sense.

In the end it really doesn't matter. Both shooting someone in the head and then repeatedly stabbing them and slicing their neck from ear to ear is overkill and totally heinous and cruel. The first jury has already unanimously voted that the way she murdered him was cruel. So I don't even think it will be up for debate.

The defense doesn't have much to work with so they make mountains out of molehills.

May I ask who thinks that?

The evidence is fully supportive of the head shot being last. In the trial the defense didn't even offer another opinion expert to counter what DH said. Imo, they didn't because they know that the physical evidence, autopsy, and the forensics found lines up with the shot being last.

A misunderstanding on Flores' part? Perhaps. Lying by either party? No. There was no need. The autopsy and forensic evidence says it all.

Flores said the gun was first in the "48 hour Mystery" that was aired long before the trial......so I had a bias when the trial started last year. When Horn got up, I was like "..........wha.........?"

The spent cartridge on TOP of the puddle of blood and the amount of blood at the sink got me to finally think otherwise. If the cartridge had been sent tumbling or sliding across the floor during the stabbing, it would have been more fully covered in blood and might have even had the tracks of it's path in blood to it's resting place.
And the whole "flying nun tackle" as the shot was fired is just the myth from someone who's been sitting way too long in a cell with nothing better to do but invent alternate theories.

That being said: Only the murderer knows for sure.
