Is this type of smear campaign a bonafide mitigator? IOW, if he used profanity and engaged in phone sex with her, does that in any way mitigate the level of cruelty she imposed on him? I am not even talking about outweighing the cruelty...but rather is it actually mitigation on any level at all?

Not being snarky with my question...I would like to know if this sort of thing is typically done in penalty phases and if so, is it ever successful?

I have no idea. I do not understand what any of this has to do with the sentencing phase. If defense is trying to justify TA's murder because he acted like a typical horny guy, then men around the world would be near extinct.

I can't stand how Nurmi drags this kind of garbage on. I sincerely hope that the jurors are able to cut through this crap and get to the heart of the matter.

I think the "maid outfit" TA made reference to was meant as a joke/teasing. I don't for a minute think she ever really had one, or that she was required to wear one

Travis probably wasn't even home while she cleaned. How else was she able to snoop through everything he had ? Or didn't have, for that matter, such as a gun. In a holster, on a 7 ft. shelf pushed to the very back of his closet.
