I need some help friends. I have MOLE holes and underground tracks all over my front yard, that you see really good with frost on the ground. They have tore my yard up.
What do I do ? Anyone have any tips?

I have been really depressed lately. It's coming up on the 2 year anniversary of the passing of my husband, and I miss him so bad. My kids are older now and I find myself alone a lot. Thank goodness for you guys. :heart:

In hole "mole traps" or gopher bombs. Personally, I like the bombs, well it's more of a gas, but it kills them underground and no bodies to dispose of.

Dmacky,......what can I say? Are you going through this under a Dr.'s care or on your own? Sometimes even the strong need a bit of help.
You're hitting that anniversary date, so don't despair, it's normal. It also gives you an opportunity to let out some more grief, which we tend to stuff over the year when we get hit with a sudden but fleeting sadness. Take it as an opportunity. Look at it as an opportunity. Use it as a day to embrace all the wonderful things you and your husband shared. Talk to him, heck, get mad at him if you feel like it! Just don't stuff your feelings.
When my dad passed this passed year, I spent time talking to him while I worked out........and we had "issues"! My BF would say "Hey, Bernina, are you swearing at me?!?!?!" "Nope, Don, just working out some stuff with my dad!" Saying things out loud seem to be the ticket for me, instead of repeatedly internalizing, It becomes a crazy vortex I get sucked into.

Hang in there, Kiddo! Take it slow and be GOOD to yourself. You're among friends!

I have a bunch of seeds from a castor bean plant we had this year. we bought the seeds from a nursery that sells them to put in mole holes... who knew? They get put down in the holes, eaten , and kill the poor critters. We have sure seen a lot of mole holes in yards this year! Gotta keep them away from pets, though.

ETA.... YESorNO knew, the video talks about a castor oil mixture that can be bought. sheesh

I am still trying to defrost from today. The low tonight is 2. The high today was like 16. I was outside all day busting the ice in water troughs, feeding hay, busting ice again because about 4 hours after first time they had frozen again… and I have about 10. I wore so many clothes I literally almost cried every time I had to use the restroom because it was so much work to get the job done.

I wish I could be here tomorrow since there is court tomorrow (yay) but I'll be busy fruitlessly busting ice again… I hate winter.

Be very careful with the castor beans as the center pods are very poisonous. I've seen shows like Forensic Files where people poisoned other people to murder and these beans are hard to detect during autopsies and blood work.

But what people need to understand is that Death is different, that's why they're giving Jodi and the defense team so much latitude. But it angers me when posters accuse JSS of being in bed with Jodi and her team. Don't you think Juan would be more vocal if there were something fishy more than just the delays going on? And we don't know the real reasons so we can't criticize that this trial is not going as fast as we might like. The jurors are still hanging in there and the Alexanders want Death, so it's not about what posters' wishes are. It also angers me that people are comparing JSS to Judge Perry saying how much better of a judge he was, when we all know the outcome of that case, and he allowed a juror on the panel who "refused to judge". At least we have a conviction. JSS is just making sure there are no possible chances of successful appeal. All will be turned around when Juan gets his turn. He's put a woman on Death Row before in AZ. Sorry for my soapbox rant. I'm just tired of seeing JSS get beat up around here when I don't think it's really her fault.

I think a lot of reason you don't see much coming from the prosecutor is that his recourse is to ask for a mistrial or some other delay, when his only goal is to finish this phase. He is actually stuck in between a rock and a hard place in regards to JSS. On another point you stated that all the courts were out for 2 week vacation because those days were a legal holiday? Ive pulled other judges dockets and they did not all have a 2 week black out. Maricopa county court legal holiday for Christmas break as listed was for Christmas day and the following day. I digress though. I'm not saying other judges didn't have similar schedules but what I'm suggesting is that certainly most were hearing cases and having status conference. JSS has a duty to the citizens,the family and even the defendant the right to a fair and speedy trial. The record simply doesn't look well on JSS that this is an ongoing unsentenced convinced murderer that is going on 7 years. That number, in of itself is a tragedy of justice if you remove everything else out of the equation. In my opinion, the scrutiny she is receiving is justified.

I know. I learned that from being here! I didn't want to toss the seeds in the yard pick-up, so they are drying out in a large paper bag. Maybe that nursery will take my leftovers. The plants are gorgeous!
