Jodi Arias case weakens: Jodi desperate for mitigation witnesses, and money

"...Does nobody find it strange that the State of Arizona basically pays for….everything…for Jodi Arias, but she still collects money from people online? What is this money for, and where is it going? Details from “Team Jodi” are very slim on that matter and transparency is not exactly one of the “strengths” of this killer, or her supporters..."

GN has Stephens Johnson syndrome. He's been in PICU with burn team and in a medically induced coma for over two weeks now. Ventilator/feeding tube etc. Its a condition which is similar to having third degree burns. Google It is awful. Poor boy is 6 years old. Hopefully he'll come off the vent this week. Meanwhile, I'm helping with the other 4 siblings while mom and dad have been 24/7 at the hospital/Ronald McDonald house. Thoughts and prayers appreciated.

It's been a hoot as I've never had children and love the bonding that is taking place, and they threw me a birthday party today. :giggle: What fun it was as I haven't celebrated my birthday in over 25 years.

Thank you for sharing this. I did some reading, too. I cannot imagine a little one going through such an intensive hospitalization (was he there at Christmas?). And how worried the family must be. I have prayers going for him, and do hope all will be well soon. Please let us know.

Sounds like you had the best birthday party ever!

It was all "Greek" to me when I first ventured there....newbie and all! But that forum is incredibly helpful, fantastic peeps, and it's connected with a group called CASAA (Consumer Advocates for Smoke free Alternatives Association). When I took the leap, I wanted studies that were independent of Big Pharmaceutical and Big Tobacco. They have the most current studies online as far as health effects, good or bad.
PG is Propylene Glycol (Not ETHYLENE glycol used in the old coolant for cars) a substance found in lots of food items, drinks, toothpaste, lotions, very long list. It's non-toxic.
VG is Vegetable Glycerin, a sweetener made from vegetables. Also used in foods and other items.
the combination of the 2, in varying percentages, create throat hits and/or more vapor when they are heated by a coil with electric current going through it for 6-10 seconds. It vaporizes the PG/VG, NOT incinerates it like a cigarette.<---the cause of tar and carcinogens when tobacco is burned.
The nicotine extract is added into the PG/VG, along with food grade concentrated flavor extracts (there's several calculation apps for DIY e liquid) in varying mg.'s (25 mg or less) or none at all.

The nicotine expended during the vape process, those 6-10 seconds of it, it similar to the nicotine given off in the vapor of tomatoes stewing on the stove. (Yes, tomatoes and the "chili" family (Night Shades) all have nicotine in them) The nicotine you inhale is absorbed by the membranes of the mouth, and/or the nose if you expel the vape that way.

The "Vapapocalypse" is Big Pharma, Big Tobacco, and Big Government trying to pass strict regulations on the ejuice and it's singular components, and the "battery" holders, and the topper or thing the juice sits in and makes contact with the heat source. It will make vaping as expensive, if not more, than regular cigarettes. Right now I might vape $10 a month. So........most vapers will have a stockpile of the ingredients for ejuice and extra gear.

Vape companies have been strictly self monitoring for the last 10 years. There are some places where you DON'T buy ejuice, like Asia, because their labs are most likely bathtubs, no gloves, masks, or general sterile facilities.

The study making the most negative impact on the industry is one that was done with cig-a-likes from Asia, they found formaldehyde in 3 or so of the units. The study is several years old and didn't bother using American made devices which have intense standards on their own.

From current independent studies, the good far outweighs the bad. Some people have had allergic reactions to PG, some to specific flavor concentrates. But some have seen improvement in emphysema, higher blood oxygen, reversal of some and sometimes all of lung damage............just a better alternative. For actually being around for almost 15 years, there is no study on long term effects, but there are plenty of vapers who have vaped that long and swear by it.
And it makes the room smell like blueberries, waffles, Swedish Glogg, or just about anything your taste buds like. I actually lost a few pounds, no cravings for food, no nic fits. It's was more of the hand to mouth and patterns of smoking I hadn't paid attention to.

Blah, blah, blah............nicotine is being used in studies for Alzheimer's, Parkinson s, and ADD/ADHD. It helps with concentration functions.

I have now switched gears, haven't "talked" vaping for about a year!

Thanks for the info- it's very interesting.

I actually just bought a disposable E-cig today when I stopped at a gas station- came in a single cig and is suppose to be the equivalent of 1 pack of regular cig, so I tried it again. It did make me cough a couple of times, but it wasn't like the last time. I like that it is disposable and doesn't need recharging. It's called Zoom. I actually bought the 3 pack too. I bought the "smooth" strength and it's not bad.
Now I can "smoke" in the house when it's winter time. :)

I'm going to look online for more info on this Zoom brand, but I'm not planning to stop smoking tho'. :)

Have you ever heard of disposable e-cigs and Zoom? (It's actually cheaper than a pack of regular cig!)

They're stated equivalent to a pack of smokes is highly over rated in some brands. Never heard of Zoom. Google "disposable E Cigarettes" and you're bound to find something. They should have a chart that tells you what nic level is equivalent to the type of cigarettes your smoking. 50/50 mix on the PG/VG is a good start.
When you vape, your getting most of the nicotine from the vapor in your mouth. You don't do "lung hits". Take a draw and exhale from your nose or mouth, take a bigger draw and do the same. Everyone gets there own technique eventually, but that's a good place to start.

The cool thing is you can vape in the toasty warm house!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't ever push vaping on anyone. I liked smoking, didn't think I'd EVER give it up. Just had this sudden fear I'd end up with an oxygen tank at 60 and be dragging it around till I was 98 or so....and longevity runs on both sides of my family!

Like everything else, it's a personal choice and no one should dictate how we should live our lives as long as it's within the law. But these anti-smoking people have a bug up their butt.<-----not EVER going to join their ranks, some of them have gone to extremes that skirt our rights. Take one thing away, and another thing will follow. I don't have a "big brother", and, frankly I don't want or need one!
Rant OVER!!!!

Catch you kids tomorrow!!!! :seeya:

Hi YESorNO, good to see you! I think you or someone can answer my question.. Everyone keeps saying the State pays for appeals. I know some States do but a few only pay one for D.P.. Does AZ. pay for more than one? They shouldn't have to. She did the crime, if money is needed that's her problem not AZ's.. Stay warm..

I posted this earlier in the journals thread, but I thought this might be a good place to put it, too:

CMJA LOVES to use the word "amazing". It is liberally sprinkled throughout her writings. Each and every time I saw the word in her journals, though, I kind of snorted with derision, because I faithfully watched All My Children for over 40 years until we were so cruelly betrayed by ABC (but that's another story), and the word "amazing" was used by pretty much every single character to their partner after they had sex, particularly from the men. Once you see the repetition pattern, you can pretty much say the dialogue FOR them before they say it.

That's what CMJA's life is like as SHE describes it: a soap opera. As with soap characters, her purchases and lifestyle have no bearing whatever on her finances (or lack thereof), and she up and leaves work in favor of adventures, good or bad, on a regular basis, with no thought to productivity or bosses. As with any soap opera, random people often come to her home or work or restaurant and tell her she is being cheated on; this happens over and over through the years.

Like soap characters, she shows up unannounced in people's homes without knocking, and sometimes goes to great lengths to enter their homes clandestinely (doggy doors vs tunnels in a mansion). Once inside, she snoops, steals, plants false evidence, or all of the above. She walks into rooms without knocking and constantly eavesdrops on conversations she is not meant to hear, throwing her into a tizzy of scheming and/or horror and despair. She slashes tires and destroys property in fits of righteous rage. She hides around corners and watches her "beloved" as he betrays her with women he deems to be more worthy than she.

She hacks into other people's computers and/or accounts and phones with ease, and then tricks people into thinking she is the person to whom the account or phone belongs when she sends them provocative messages. She writes a ridiculously melodramatic shaming letter to a rival, purportedly from an anonymous ID. She writes fake messages to herself from fake stalkers and contrives to make sure Travis sees and/or learns about them.

She threatens suicide on a regular basis in order to bind the object of her obsession to her, and is in constant need of being rescued. I'm surprised she didn't up and marry someone she didn't love and barely knew in order to stick it to Travis (crying martyred tears throughout the ceremony), not to mention become pregnant and not know which one was the father. Despite everything that has happened, she still wants to remain "friends".

Throughout her travails and harrowing experiences, she still has a positive attitude and thinks most people are really good at heart and can be redeemed, including herself

And, of course, there are the obligatory fake 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

.#JodiArias lawyer says she's mentally ill, claims conviction based on false testimony, 'cuz 🤬🤬🤬🤬, so remove DP...

B68CezcIcAAJYpI.png

I think he's a little off on WHY she was convicted. Let's see:

a) there was 🤬🤬🤬🤬 on Travis' computer; ergo, he was a despicable non-human monster who deserved to be tortured and slaughtered

b) Jodi Arias plotted well ahead of time to drive ~1,000 miles, hide her tracks during said trip, lulled the victim into a false sense of security by means of kinky, no-strings sex, waited until he was in an extremely vulnerable position (wet and naked), and then stabbed him directly in the heart, which was a fatal wound, in and of itself. He managed to get up from his seated position and over to the sink, with arterial blood spurting the entire time, while CMJA continued to stab him in the back, he staggered away as she continued to stab him, including stabbing him in the abdomen, he lurched into the hallway, but fell, having lost too much blood, then tried to crawl away from her, with her continuing to stab him the entire way. At the end of the hallway, she yanked his head back and sliced his throat nearly ear-to-ear, slicing through his airway and one of the carotid arteries, which was the second fatal wound. She dragged him back to the shower and then shot him in the head, which was the third fatal wound. Then she cleaned up much of the crime scene and his body and, presumably, herself while standing over his dead body. She threw bedding and CAMERA into the washing machine, added a lot of bleach, and turned it on. She had put up a gate to keep the dog from going upstairs, then left the dog to its own defenses, knowing that the dog would smell the blood and decomposition and would have been traumatized by the mayhem that it would have easily heard. Then she left to her semi-alibi, yet another man in another state, acting as if nothing had happened other than driving in the wrong direction for a while (a blatant lie). She disposed of the weapons and bloodied clothes, and lied about not being in AZ when the victim was murdered. She lied to the police about not being there, and then she lied about being there, but there being two ninjas who murdered him, yet allowed her to leave. When the trial finally came about, she testified for 18 days, spewing one lie after another and conveniently forgot the actual murder other than to lie about him trying to attack her for a trivial reason. During their relationship, including on the day of the murder, JA was the star of their own pornographic photo and audio recordings (one or more of which was done without the consent of the victim).

Yet the judge is supposed to take the death penalty off the table because Travis (MAY have) looked at 🤬🤬🤬🤬.

As a person in the medical field, I have paid pretty close attention to the studies you are talking about. It's very interesting the findings they have come up with. Personally a coworker of mine year's ago that her mother came down with Alzheimer's and parkinsons about 6 months after quitting smoking of 30+ years. They put her in a study at the mayo clinic to see if it was correlated.

:waiting: :waiting: :waiting:

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers for my GN. They doctors are considering taking him off the ventilator today or tomorrow. He'll continue to be wrapped like a mummy to keep the infection potential down until the epidermis grows back, and on a feeding tube for a while longer.

atthelake, I could not find the answer to whether your GN's problems will be a life-long concern. Do you know? Prayers that today goes well for him.

Snow to shovel this morning so I can get to the vet for prescription food for my oldest dog. I should be done in time with chores to be here for any trial happenings..... if nothing gets postponed again.

We received 6" of snow overnight and it's still coming down, but at least it's 32 degrees and not that cold. The schools are closed
and my son cannot get his car out of the long driveway, so he cannot go to work. :(

Wonder if JSS will rule on taking the DP off of the table or not today????? And will we see the transcripts? I just hope the media does not give us little pieces of it and they will publish the whole thing.

Day 24 of Jodi Arias trial: Judge considers request to drop death penalty

"PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A judge is expected to decide Monday if the death penalty will be taken off the table for convicted murderer Jodi Arias...

In another potential development, transcripts from Arias' secret testimony could be released Monday...
