When I was about 8 I inherited my older sister's 45s...I remember playing this over and over (I had no idea it was a "sexy party" song LOL :floorlaugh: (of course I also just found out what a "Key Party" was

Yes! That's how I got The Archie's Sugar, Sugar. lol

LOL That was the first 45 I ever bought. I asked the fellow working in the record store "I'm looking for the 45 Sugar Honey". He said Oh you mean Sugar Sugar and laughed :blushing:

hahaha...like me and my friend belting out "Afternoon Delight" in the back of my gp's car on the way to the shore. Not a clue in the world :blushing:

oh boy. That reminds me of my recent startling revelation that the lyric to that was "all he left us was alone" My entire life I thought it was "all he left us was a loan." And I was like, how lame -- he left them owing money? omg Then again, I also didn't put two and two together on the Doobie Brothers name until I was in my 30's

:floorlaugh: kind of like when I would sing the Stones "Beast of Burden'.. I don't want to be your "pizza burnin".

:floorlaugh: I had the Doobs straight, but I had the same problem with that line from Poppa was a Rolling Stone. Here are a couple of admissions of my own.

I was convinced for most of my childhood that "Black is Black, I want by Baby Back," was actually "Black is Black, I want my Gravy Back..."

One of my DW's coworkers sung "Felix"with great gusto. We know it, of course, as "Feelings."

My sister was dumbfounded to learn that her favorite Journey song was "Open Arms," not, as she imagined, "Broken Arms."

:floorlaugh: Gravy Back? Broken Arms? How romantic :floorlaugh::floorlaugh: Thanks for sharing. I'm glad I'm not alone :)

When I was in my Senior years of high school we had access to a bus tour called Music Man Tours. Buy your ticket to whatever Concert. Hop on the bus and good to go. It worked well since none of our Parents would give us a car to attend Concerts. Saw some amazing groups. Too many to count. Good times. Good times.

Another one for me was CCR's Bad Moon Rising ..."there's a bathroom on the right" Lordy.

Haaaa boy this thread is a trip down memory lane. Music I had not thought of in years. Thanks all :seeya: One of our fave things to do with our Gal group went driving around was when one of us was belting out the tune on the radio abruptly shut off the radio. We always thought that was hysterical :blushing:

Has CFJA proclaimed being a song writer yet??? I see she did win the prison American Idol contest (puke)...Think she really knows her self professed accolades are BS..and that her " idol" winning was equally disgusting and a joke..And btw WHO proclaimed her to be an artist, photographer...As I see it she is an unemployed waitress and sometimes bartender.
