Good Morning Sidebar Friends!
:loveyou:
While enjoying my second cuppa C(h)OCK FULL OF NUTS, the heavenly coffee, I thought I'd pop in and remind everyone (like we would forget, right?) that JA sentencing is in
5
more days, then....

Buh Bye Jodi
:jail:

Hey, you guys have my interest peaked with the Chock Full o' Nuts Coffee. What is it about it that is better than other coffee's ? I'm thinking of trying it out. :)

CFON is a good budget option to high-end coffees.

While we're comparing coffee brands, mr. dood and I like Don Francisco's Vanilla Nut coffee...we mix it half 'n half with whatever brand is on sale that month, that way we enjoy our fancy-pants coffee for pennies, every morning. With cream! Arteries be damned.

But, alas, Don Francisco's coffee doesn't lend itself to great jokes. Still laughing about that one, Chelly! That made my day. :D

Always glad to help and bring a chuckle...even when I don't know what I'm doing...:blushing:

Is it really true that Troy is going to follow the prison van????? I cannot wait to watch - hopefully it will be televised. How far is it from Phoenix to
the killer's new home???

Distance from Phoenix to Perryville is about 23 miles.

Uh oh. Just realized I'm on Verdict Watch (AH trial) without Pecan Pie and Cool Whhip. Will just have to settle for a granola bar for now and run out tomorrow (I'm sure deliberations will still be in works) to pick up pie. And, maybe I can save myself a slice for Monday's JA sentencing.

Might as well be a "slow boat to China". Wonder when reality is gonna hit CMJA?

I do so hope the Sheriffs have the opportunity to test out the stun belt before CMJA becomes a distant memory. And to catch it on video.

Monday, Monday, Monday.............I hope all of Travis' family take that opportunity to speak their mind. Sometimes you just get that one chance to say what you NEED to say, to find some sense of peace, or take the next step to regaining your life without your loved one. The dynamic will change, the challenge will be different, and I hope there are people to support the Alexanders as this ends.

If they go for the "wrongful death", I wonder if CMJA gets to travel to court and back, or they'll just keep her in lockup at the jail on 4th Avenue, next to the court complex?

Bleck. Hope it's planned in the spring time so CMJA misses the "comfortable weather" out there in PV.

Here is something unbelievable and just wrong, IMO:

Arizona Appeals Court Denies Stay of Trial in Alleged Minuteman Child Molester Case

"A three-judge panel of the Arizona Court of Appeals has declined to halt a pending trial, where accused child molester and ex-Minuteman leader Chris Simcox will be allowed to cross-examine his alleged child victims..."

Judge Will Allow Alleged Child Molester Chris Simcox to Cross-Examine Victim Children

Bernina is right- there's something in the water in Arizona. :sheesh:

Naw, he's another California misfit. If you're not RAISED on Arizona water, it'll do weird things to you when you move here, LOL!

Simcox did a pretty good job of hiding his "beliefs" and "abhorrent behaviors" when he formed the Minuteman Civil Defense Corp, because I KNOW they were many volunteers that would have left, or not even joined if all of this had come to light. Some might have taken the law into their own hands. (And many of these volunteers were LE in one form or another, and ex-Military) I've got 2 base ball caps from them hanging on my wall, and they're going in the burn pile today. At one point the group had a standard protocol, "observe and report", but when Simcox resigned, the lunatic fringe took control and it was disbanded. Ended up being a bunch a gun happy racists. Just like the group Simcox was constantly saying his group was NOT. (The Minutemen Project Inc., ran by the now dead (by suicide) murderer JT Ready, a total neo-Nazi and race hater)

Hope the Appeals Court steps in, this IS a total violation of Az's Victim's Rights. Maybe Padillo is playing with Simcox?

Off topic but here in California we have forgotten what rain even looks like! Just blue skies, day after day after day...my kids are in their late 20s and for most of their lives have grown up under drought situations. Back to topic...and thank you so much again for the post about Troy Hayden following the prison van to Perryville. Somehow I'm sensing I won't be getting much work done on Monday...

BBM

Yesterday evening in the 8 pm news the german TV was talking in details about this problem in CA. They also mentioned the daily amount of water used by each inhabitant. WOW! It seems there will be drastic regulations. ;) to those who were discussing washing machines and WC flushing systems here, the S?BB, don't remember the abbreviation.
Sorry for my pea brain unable to remember the quoted numbers. As soon as I've finished my homework I'll try to find them.

Morning!

Oh, no!! daisymae - hope healing comes FAST!!!

:waitasec: okay, I'm getting old - WHERE do I do that? Please? TIA!

:crossfingers:

Okay - will be back later to see if Linask has told me how to change my posts per page...
:skip:

:seeya:

It's a dropdown menu under the general settings. At the very top right hand corner of your screen in the black bar under settings, then go to the general settings link under the My settings header on the left hand side of the age. Once you select the number of posts/page, be sure to save your changes at the bottom of the page. Hope that's clear.

We got some rain in the last couple of days in the East Bay, didn't you?

Does she pack up her cell or do they do it for her???

If they sue for wrongful death, does she have to appear in her jail uniform as opposed to street clothes???

I have a feeling they will sneak her out like a thief in the night.

I remember when I visited relatives in Sacramento for 2 weeks one time and I had brought an umbrella. My relatives laughed at me and I thought they were kidding at first. After the 6th or 7th day of waking up to beautiful blue skies I realized they were not joking with me.

By the end of that trip I realized why California has so many fires. They dont get enough rain. There was brown grass on sides of highways and its amazing that any trees can survive.

For the water rationing I think they need to also make sure large companies and businesses do their part. 1 large business will use more water than 1000 homes and especially if the business has to use water for something.

I think the government always goes after the residents first without making sure businesses do their part. It seems businesses get exceptions and waivors and they are the ones that will use 1000 times the water residents do. I do understand that certain businesses have to have water to run their business but I dont think the government does near enough in the way of forcing businesses to do their part.

I also know farming should get special provisions. I am mainly referring to normal type businesses that would not have water as a main source of survival. These are the places the government needs to really ensure do not waist water.

Ive been under water bans before as a resident and it is not fun. It puts neighbor against neighbor and causes lots of grief. You will always have some people that try to break the rules and it is a recipe for disaster if not handled right by government.

Instead of road rage you end up with neighbor water police rage. :)

Hi Spellbound. Buffy is a dog, Cocker Spaniel partie colored. He is a Shelter. He seems to be doing a lot better . Dr. sent him pills for colitis. he didn't potty yesterday, I make the cooked chicken same as you suggested, think he's tired of it. Dr. did say his kidneys and liver are fine. I was up all night couldn't sleep. just watched him breathe. Thanks for caring. I am like a mother hen!!

Oops.... poor Buffy would not like being called a cat. Sorry. I am sure glad he is doing a bit better, though. When my dogs seem to be a bit under the weather I break out the canned pumpkin (no seasonings). Also, plain yogurt and rice is good for ailing furbabes. Pumpkin is good for diarrhea and for constipation, so a tablespoon might help. Some dogs eat it like a treat, some won't. I make pumpkin treats now and give mine one or two small "biscuits" each day.

I imagine your vet checked for bladder stones? My oldest dog stopped being able to pee when she had them.

Glad you were able to update with some improving news. Hope you are getting enough rest for yourself, too.
