LOVE this song!!!!!
Too darn tired and sore to comment and keep up! 150' of fenceline, re-stretched and repaired, hot wired on the top and ready for the new horse!

And I realized halfway through it all that I truly hated fence work and had promised never to do it again! This is what I get for not hooking up with a cowboy or construction minded individual. Well, he has his gold panning and I have my critters.......Muwahahaha!

When my son and his GF move into my BF's place, they better find a good fence person cause "mom" isn't going to fence another 5 1/2 acres.
Nite Sleuthers! Tomorrow will be a good day!
:offtobed:

Maybe this isn't the best song for you? ha ha j/k

Who is juror No. 18?

Most people assume he had to be the foreperson for the jury. There are only 12, but those 12 were picked from a pool of more than 12, so the numbers go higher than 12.

Just a theory and hope this isnt right, but
Have a theory that maybe a couple of the jury members came into the deliberations and just said that there is no way they can give this person the DP because they know she is sick in the head, and therefore they cannot give her DP no matter what anybody else tells them.

Maybe that is why they got deadlocked so fast. If that is what happened, hopefully they will think it through tonight and the rest of the jury can convince them to reconsider.

My distaste for her is so strong that I'm almost willing to fly to Phoenix with all my friends just so we can sit in the gallery when the sentence is announced, with our blonde hair sipping Strawberry Frappachinos and eating Cinnabons, wearing "Jodi BS Survivor" T-shirts....

Now you have me dreaming of a Starbucks and Cinnabon catering wagon, sitting outside the door of the courthouse , just coincidentally, of course, parked exactly where she exits. With the enticing, aromatic scent of coffee and Cinnabons wafting out as she is escorted away by armed guards in her chains and striped prison garb.

:rocker: You're right! I remember that night!

Weren't you also the one with the Cakebread Chardonnay? It caught my eye because I haven't had it in a while. Thinking about it now though, lol.

okay, I checked on Kenny Chesney and Eric Church tickets.....do you think it is okay to spend $500/ticket to be in the sandpit in front of the stage....can we use student loan money for the tickets...we only need 2 :rockon:

okay, I guess we could get the $159 ones.....:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
it is not that great down there at least in tampa it wasnt ...
this was taken before the crowd got down there rom my seat ..

IIRC, The penis pic was not a pic of Darryl Brewers's private parts. Don't know how gross it was but it was TA's junk. IDK, but Martinez did not object to the picture when it was shown in court. I did not know TA and have no idea if he had gross hands.

You're right... I know that the picture was supposed to be of Travis' hands...but to me the hands looked more like DB's than Travis'...so that's why when I saw DB on the interview his dry mouth was driving me crazy and making me think of that picture..

By yesterday afternoon, there were quite a few sleuthers saying the question is 'IF' they can't. It looks like Twitter etc is now catching up and agreeing with us..... again. ETA and just now a tweet from someone saying Dr Drew discovered this. Whatever :floorlaugh:

prison officials? I would imagine that there would be a process of introduction into that life......I would bet that her planned contributions to the prison
community would be something that she would have to earn after time and good behavior.

I heard it on HLN twice today. Certain behaviors and disorders warrant it. Shes a dope. On the other hand, the violence in the womens prisons are high. Perryville is currently being sued for this reason. The girl gang members are violent, and could care less about rules or lawsuits. Jodi would not fair well in the population. Either way shes screwed.

I have never been for the death penalty.

I take my little boy, Timmy the chihuahua, to nursing homes and when I
see the happiness that he brings, it always brings a huge smile for me
and for Timmy
We walk out, and it is the most incredible feeling.
He looks at me with the biggest smile saying we need to go back to make them
happy again.

There is nothing more rewarding than to see their smiles.
They are genuine smiles.

I hate Jodi, she has done nothing for society.

I have changed my mind about the death penalty.
I would have no qualms giving her death.

This is the order the information was released:
 1. Judge Stephens addresses the jury
 2. MC Superior Court tweets
 3. Article by Michael Kiefer

Judge Stephens:

Ladies and gentleman I have received your note indicating that you are unable to come to a unanimous decision.
I have some suggestions to help your deliberations and not to force you to read a verdict.
I am merely trying to be responsive to your apparent need for help.
I do not wish nor intend to force a verdict.
Each juror has a duty to consult with one another to deliberate with a view to reaching an agreement, if it can be done, without violence to individual judgement.
No juror should surrender his or her honest conviction, as to the weight or a fact of the evidence, solely because of the opinion of other jurors or for the purpose of reaching a verdict.
However, you may want to identify areas of agreement and disagreement and discuss the law and the evidence, as they relate to the areas of disagreement.
If you still disagree, you may wish to tell the attorneys and me, which issues, questions, law or facts you would like us to assist you with.
If you decide to follow this suggestion, please write down the issues, questions, law or facts on which we can possibly help.
Please give your note to the bailiff.
We will then discuss your note and try to help.
At this time please go back to the jury room and continue deliberating.
You are excused.

Jury's question is what to do if they can not reach a verdict #JodiArias Judge is giving them further instruction

Jodi Arias jury can't decide on death penalty
Judge sends them back for more deliberations

By Michael Kiefer The Republic | 12 News Wed May 22, 2013 5:35 PM
<snipped>

The jury sent a handwritten note on an official question form to the judge. It said: “If the jury is unable to come to a unanimous decision @ this stage, do we notify the judge of this on the form (verdict) or do we just tell the judge her instruction on the bottom P. 10 on the final jury Instruction-Penalty phase?”

It was signed by juror No.18.

Oh my, he fell for the gun rumor? He should resign out of pride.

...or embarrassment! :blushing::blushing:

He is so anti-Juan that he has become anti-Alexander's and Pro-murdering, lying pile of dung JA. Ugh.

(apparently there is something in the past that makes him despise Juan M and he will choose the other side whenever Juan is prosecutor)

Now you have me dreaming of a Starbucks and Cinnabon catering wagon, sitting outside the door of the courthouse , just coincidentally, of course, parked exactly where she exits. LET'S DO IT!!! *AND* the proceeds can go to benefit the Alexander family!!!

Then ALL THE TRIAL WATCHERS can sit in the gallery sipping Stawberry Frappuccinos and eating Cinnabons!!!

From KCL on the other topic thread -- so everyone sees it:

Hi guys,

Finally back after a long long day at the courthouse.

I worked this morning and came out of my last session to find a ton of texts about the "deadlock", rushed down to the courthouse to find my pals in fight or flight...we all ran back upstairs and immediately held a prayer circle, led by Katie Wick in a small hallway. She led a beautiful prayer and we tapped in to the collective good energy and prayers coming from around the world and to be led in the ways to be supportive and helpful to the family in all the best ways.

So we were just mingling, talking to various journalists from Beth Karas to Jeff Gold to WildAboutTrial (who got me in a fit of hysteria over the word "blouse" asking me "What is a blouse? I thought it was a bird").

I was standing over at the wall charging my phone with Katie and we saw this article Kiefer wrote which included apparently a verbatim account of the note the jurors sent out, including the signed "foreperson". I found that odd as no other journalists were reporting on this set of details and usually notes like that are NOT released to the media/public. I'm sure you all know my feelings on Kiefer and of course I lean to thinking someone from the defense wanted that "out there" so they got that info to "their man".

Anyway, suddenly Katie turns to me and says "have you actually read this note?" and goes on to have this lightbulb moment asking if I thought maybe the jurors were just asking a question about the instructions, clarifying how they are to handle things if certain decisions were made/not made. Not necessarily saying they were THERE but how to handle it if they ever GET THERE.

So it caught my attention and we sat there kind of chewing on this idea, the timing, etc. What we realized is that with the timing of how things went down today, is that this note/question came in about 40 minutes after they started deliberating today. Kind of a quick timeframe to get "deadlocked". What if they were just asking a question? Not indicating they were not in agreement!

We discussed it with another journalist who kind of poo pooed the idea as, apparently it was just drummed up by lowly "trial watchers" and not REAL JOURNALISTS (I'm not gonna name this person but not one of my faves and in Kiefer's back pocket imo). He actually got a bit aggressive when we were having the audacity to question this. He showed us Judge S's words on his cell phone but we kept saying "but that's not what the jury said!". What they asked was IF they are deadlocked. A whole lot in those two little letters.

IF

So we float this idea to both Beth Karas AND Mike Galanos (super nice guy) and Ted Rowlands who are all ears and saying "you might have a point there!". Imagine that, a journalist who is listening and open to a new idea than the one they've wedded themself to.

Lo and behold, on Dr. Drew, Beth Karas floats this exact theory! We coached Katie all thru the dinner hour to say this on Dr. Drew which she did! Even though Beth had already suggested this idea.

All the hystrionics and drama today abated in one little two letter word.

So we ended up dining with Harold and Tanisha, I talked to Sam on the phone...they are all doing ok, all things considered.

I also passed messages to them from Janine Driver and Wendy Murphy that came my way...and a sweet message about God from our dear Jayarohh.

After we left I think we were all feeling pretty good.

I DO NOT THINK this jury is "deadlocked". I think they will reach a verdict tomorrow and sentence Jodi Arias to death.

I'm told that every juror looked in the direction of the family today when this went down as they left the courtroom. Jodi's family was not even in the courtroom. This is all good.

Let's all keep breathing and surrounding this jury/family/ourselves in all the strength we can muster. This is where the rubber meets the road.

I'll say the words that said to my friends the moment I saw them today.

Now we have to dig deep.

Now is one of those life moments when you understand how strong you are.

Sweet dreams all.............

This is AZLawyer's response from the legal thread, she thinks there was a misunderstanding & I agree with her:

I see that as a HUGE difference.
But my question is this:

If JSS was only asked a question of what would happen if they are unable to agree unanimously on a verdict:

Is she able to explain that they may be replaced with a new jury, or is that not allowed?

ETA: Another question. If they DID say they were unable to reach a verdict, why wouldn't that have been on the actual jury form rather than a note?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
AZLawyer's response:

IMO Judge Stephens could and should have told them about the second-jury procedure.

Based on the media reports about the note, it sounds like they weren't sure what form to use.

I agree huge difference! Can we get any clarification on that. I would be so excited if they just asked what if they can't come to a decision or what form to use, instead of "2 hrs into it and we are stuck"

Who is juror No. 18?

Someone jodi doesn't like...

Does anyone remember at the first verdict when the jurors were saying their individual answers, and jodi was staring them down, she lost interest when they got down to the last 3 or 4. IMO it looked like she knew the last 3 hated her anyway so she didn't have to fake puppy eye them. Just an observation...

GUYS! What do you think? All her life, she's told everyone "I've got this." Her allocution is what comes to mind right now. Smart sociopaths are really scary people (Eric Harris was above average IQ also)(Columbine).

Also, did I already say, "Jaysus. This behavior of JA must've been what Travis was reacting to with his angry email. Look how we're reacting to her and we didn't have the benefit of sex to blind us."

Jodi Arias is becoming a laughing stock. But I don't think she's ever going to be aware of it. Or what it means. She'll always think we're laughing WITH her.
