I saw a poll, in the New York Times, and the local Az MSM, about how the use of cigarettes has drastically gone down for middle school and high school students, but vaping has had a sudden rise, not to the level of what previous cigarette use was, but it has gone up. I'd like to know whether these kids are vaping non-nicotine e-cigs. These polls usually just post numbers, and not the particulars. And then there's the question as to who is actually funding the poll/survey. Before Big Tobacco got into e-cigs just in the last few years, they were funding most of the negative studies. Vaping has taken a huge chunk of their revenue away

I did a lot of research before I switched to vaping because what was the point of switching if I was just contributing to the possibility of developing the same diseases that smoking contributed to or caused. Vaping has been around since 2000 and it really frustrates me that the early vapers haven't been studied.......but maybe it's because they don't even use nic anymore? Who knows.
In the first 6 weeks of vaping, I had a bunch of crud coming out of my lungs, my morning smokers hack disappeared, my caffeine consumption went down, and I actually lost weight (which I didn't need to do). Your taste buds start coming back...like, wow! I also didn't "suck" on an e-cig like I would a cig: You smoke a cig til it's gone, and e-cig you might take 1 or 2 draws and then you put it down. It was relatively easy to go from 24 mg nic down to 11 mg nic. I sometimes go 8 hours w/o vaping because I just don't think about it. I believe it's a healthier choice for me.
You hear the argument that nicotine is addictive, so is caffeine and sugar. You hear that nicotine is poison, but just about any substance can be deadly if taken in large amounts, water or milk as examples.
Almost all States have laws that prohibit the sale of e-cigs to minors, but just like cigarettes and alcohol, teenagers will find a way.
