I am on a posting roll it seems. I have a question of anyone that may have gone through the following:

A married couple, whom we have been friends with for 25 years, are going through an acrimonious time. They are very wealthy and the husband has just filed a PFA against the wife, siting abuse. The PFA contained some statements that are true, but some statements that are also false.

Long story short, the husband has a manipulative girlfriend on the side that the wife found out about. She confronted her husband and a lot of screaming matches insued. She is a fiery Italian and loves her husband and just wants to keep her marriage together. The husband, well, he is turning 65 and kind of in a crisis.

They go to Court on Friday at 10:30 in front of a Comissioner in Family Court. I have been asked by her to go, and possibly testify. I would have to answer honestly, and I don't think neither of them is going to like what I have to say as they both are behaving badly.

Ok. What do I do? This is totally ridiculous if you ask me. Like First World, Rich People's problems. I love them both and can see both sides.

Tell the truth Zuri. It will never fail you. Since you care for both of them, one of them is going to be hurt no matter what you say.

Hmm, yes, it really sounds like you said: "Like First World, Rich People's problems."
What could you do? As she asked you to testify, may be you could just tell her what I bolded and ask her if she still wants you to testify? : (

What an incredibly lovely, kind and caring person you are. Your DH is lucky to have you in his life. A lot of women don't have such great relationships with their MIL. It is heartening to read about yours. Xo

Today is the fourth anniversary of her death. We miss her, but we know she's in a better place than on this earth.

AdilIa was a character. We had some rental properties, and moved she and her mother in the house across the street from us, and she and I had a disagreement over giving Anna a sip of beer. She didn't speak to me for five years. When Cesira died in 1982, and she forgave me.

My family takes care of each other, and sometimes in laws also. Right now we're taking care of my nephew who had a stroke after heart surgery when he was forty-five. My sister (the loud cook) takes care of him until the afternoon, and I come in and cook dinner for them. My oldest sister (my nephews mother) would come in about an hour later, and could rest. She tore her Als (?) and is retiring, but we'l continue to help. Her husband had a stroke in 2005, and takes care of him self , we kinda keep an eye out in case he needs help. His brother had a heart attack last August, and my sister promised his wife when she died five years ago that she'd take care of him, so he came to live with them. He found out last week that he has throad cancer and it's stage three, so we all will take care of him until he dies.

I guess we got the take care of your family from our great grandmother Cora. My father side didn't. We are on our fourth that were terminal, and have a 103 year old who is in a nursing home, that one sister visits in the mornings , and one of us goes and help get her ready for bed at night.

The reward is great. You have made those last days of some one ,family or not, comfortable, taken care of and not alone.

And we'very added my great grand nice to our list. New mama went back to work, and the only have one car, and different hous, so one of us goes and get Lilyann, then her mama and drop them off at my nieces home, and they stayed there until midnight when new daddy comes to get them after he gets off work. You throw in dr.appointments and it gets fun at times, but there are three of us, and
things always work out.

So...........the McStay prelim...........
I followed the case and still don't "have my money" on any definite perp. With all the people connected directly or indirectly, and others doing really "unusual" stuff after the disappearance, just couldn't follow through with anyone.
That being said..............
What's the motive for CM to murder the family?
There were several people who had means and opportunity, why is it on CM?
Just curious.

Thanks Niner for posting that letter to the Warden. I have a feeling the Warden already has a very good idea what that heinous person is like.

Hi Zuri...it could be very powerful for them to hear what you have to say, even if it is painful. They must trust you and care about you, so likely they would respect you too. And your perspective could be healing and enlightening for both of them. IDK, JMO

:fence: but I agree here khaki! Tell her you are going to be honest!! :drama:

and... just found out my younger brother has liver cancer! He has Hep C from using needles/drugs way back when - I think I explained that ^^ above somewhere when we were talking about addiction. Don't know what "stage" it's in; my sister emailed me and said she would find out. The doctor said no treatment necessary and to put him in a hospice. So I don't know how far along his cancer is, but that doesn't sound too good when a doctor says no treatment - don't you think??!! :waitasec: Tried to call the number my sister sent me - turns out they had moved and changed their phone #. Left a message - hopefully, he will call me back, or at least his girlfriend, whom I do NOT like... but that's another story! LOL!

okay - off the computer for the night! :pcguru:

See you all tomorrow! And take care everyone!

Hospice typically means end-of-life, palliative care (only). It doesn't sound good to me. Hopefully, someone will contact you with more detailed info...

I'm sorry about your brother, Niner. Hospice generally means the end is near. I hope you get to speak with your brother. Prayers and hugs are coming.

Q

Niner, hospice is called in when a patient is terminal with no chance of survival. Survival is deemed less than 6 months. I am so sorry that there is nothing the doctors can do. I hope he can get good pain medicine and live his days out in relative comfort. God Bless.

Bernina, I have been using the wrong term for Zuri's gray/white hairs. It is called ticking. She may have a muted or diluted Sabino gene, that is usually seen in horses with lots of chrome. This is according to some wise horse folks that are equine geneticists. Thought I would pass the "ticking" term along. I learn something new every day. And I may not have understood the explanation perfectly either :). So just go with ticking...

If you only knew the dysfunction in my family, you might not. We were raised off and on by our great grandmother until we moved to Texas when I was seven. Everything in the world changed, and not for better. After several moves and more uncertainty, I asked my eight year old brother if he wanted to go back to Oklahoma to grandma Cora's with me. Zuri and Bernina, I have a confession to make. I am a horse rustler. My plan was to walk to the riding stables about a mile away and get horses and go back to Oklahoma.

I woke my brother up around two in the morning, and we took off down the road to the stables. I hadn't planned on the horses being behind a padlocked gate, so we walked back to the house (you couldn't really call it a home), and I made new plans for the next night. There was a neighbor that had two horses down the street and we'd go there. So we did, and we got caught, and taken back home. I was nine years old.

We really didn't get in trouble. We really didn't get much of anything. We took care of each other and still do. One of us can ask each other for help or money and it's there, no questions asked.

I told Anna a few years ago that I never heard my mother or father say they loved me. Wow, that takes a load off my shoulders.

I have been staying off the SB board last few days as I deal with losing my son again. When he isn't drinking, he is my best friend :( I had him for 2 years and I miss that son! I know what you all say is spot on and I know I should not answer his calls...I will be fine. I just need a bit of time, I need this time for mourning the loss of my son again. I have you, my dear SB friends, I have my family, and I have God. :loveyou: :grouphug:

ANNOUNCMENT

I am a Birdma!! We have 1 newly hatched baby robin. Momma is staying close and feeding that little ugly thing :) Can't wait see the other two. Will take pics once Momma leaves the nest for more than a few minutes.

For others that are dealing with their own personal problems, pain, confusions...My prayers are with you ((((HUGS))))

Pages, twice in my young life I, too, planned my escape. Once from home, once from hospital (tonsils removed) -- and both at about age six. But I had to walk, no horses to rustle in the "city".

Coffee...... Here to listen whenever you need, here to hug and support always.

I may not post everyday - but I truly appreciate everyone who does
:grouphug: hugs and kisses :blowkiss: to all :tyou:

Sidebar and Friends
Some may be silent, others have something to say.
Visits are frequent, multiple times per day.
It's different from Cheers, everybody doesn't know your name.
Never met in person, but it's friendship just the same.
There's comfort, laughter and even some tears.
Discussion can be anything, maybe deep seeded fears.
It's a breakaway from the days' bustle and grind.
An outside link to help from loosing ones mind.
It's a comfort in knowing this pleasure with no ends.
Sure glad to find this place called Sidebar and Friends.

:loveyou:

Ruby, What a beautiful perfectly worded post! I do believe you included everyone here on the Sidebar thread! Thank you!! <3

Oh sweet CJ
It doesn't seem to matter how old our children are, we as mothers still want to make everything alright. It's just in our nature, I suppose. It's heartbreaking that we can't just "love them" into recovery. I will keep you and your son in my prayers, and ask that you do the same for my daughter and I.

I accidently  stumbled upon one of my daughter's little "take home bottle's" of Methadone from the clinic in a box... in her room... in her drawer, underneath a bunch of other things. (In Plain sight) :giggle: She is taking 80 milligrams ! No wonder she talks so much and frikken slow. That's equal to 8 10mg's of pain pills! :scared:
