UnFortunately, our poster friend's "friend" is just plain mean. I only met her once, at the bridal shower. She arrived 30 minutes late (holding everyone up), with wet hair, tolerated the shower for less than an hour and left early with a BS excuse. IMO she is one of those people that think the world owes them a living and all the attention. What a shame.

I understand. I was sure I knew who that special person was, and I'd hate to see her hurt in any way. That would break all of our hearts.

I'm so behind, but that looks like an Acuba to me, Niner. Actually I think technically it may be spelled "Aucuba", but in my younger days of working at a nursery we spelled it Acuba. LOL
They are generally used as landscape shrubs. I could be wrong, but that's what they look like to me. Are you asking because you're having problems with them ?

Brrrrr! It's 49 degrees here this morning. Pulled out my warm winter fuzzy housecoat

Yes, the babies are UGLY (I told ya'll they were). I can see the nest as I wash dishes and was watching Momma last night. About every 10-15 minutes, she would fly off, be gone about 5 minutes and come back with food for them. I could see the beaks of the babies, opened wide and Momma feed them. Was fun and interesting watching them. Haven't checked this am see if the third baby has hatched. She was feeding. Will check later...

We need think up some names for these little fellows....any suggestions? When I sent the pic to my daughter she asked, "what did I name her new brothers/sisters"! LOL

Oooh.... the poor little naked babies. We spent the afternoon watching our nearly grown Robin babies learning to fly.
Sadly, my dog caught one of them a few days ago. But these little ones sure know how to run out through the fence! What amazed me today, when the babies were running about I glanced up at their nest ..... and a dove is sitting in it!

Your pics and descriptions of your nest have been as good as any web cam on a nest. So cool!

Just reading here and find this post incredibly sad since we love our special poster. I am so direct I would expect someone be direct with me also. Maybe avoiding the person at all costs, for posters own sanity is the answer. If the so called friend asks her why she is being avoided, she should be direct and no nonsense about it. What said friend is doing to our poster is nothing short of cruelty. Btw, I saw the beautiful pictures of the shower and what you did for her was absolutely amazing. God bless you!

Zuri ~ I agree with Curious, I too think what you did for "said poster" :wink: was amazing! Not only that, but the all the thoughtful gifts you sent anonymously to the Alexander family, along with JM and Det. Flores. I know that took you a lot of thought, time and effort and I'm glad that "said poster" called you out on that. I never had any doubt it was you, as I remember you doing so many acts of kindness.

I have read so many missing children threads that I cannot remember exactly who it was, but Tricia was asking members for donations of food and drink for a search party, and there you were again, calling and donating pizza's, salads, 2 liters of drinks and also bottled water. And to be quite honest, I don't believe that was the only time I've seen you donate food.
You are truly a beautiful person Zuri, inside and out. We are all blessed to have met you :loveyou:

Spellbound, the poster is our friend, who we all love. It is her "friend" who has the issue.

Oh! I know that, Zuri .... But I thought the other person was also a poster somewhere. "Newly married" is our friend! Other "poster" was how I referred to the other person. Couldn't even stick around for that beautiful shower? What a slap that must have felt like. Just let her go .... I am sure she realizes how hurt newly-married was by her attitude.

You can see how young they are. Momma is a good Momma...she feeds them a lot! If you look really close you can see the starting of the 'hole' in the egg. Soon will have 3!
