I an not feeling well today, slept most of the day. The weather is just miserable here and calling for all the rains and storms from Tropical Storm Bill settle in tomorrow and stick around far a few days. It's so hot/muggy outside it is causing my o2 stat rates drop down and makes me so very tired. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day. :)

I'm with you coffeejunkie, I've been so tired since we returned from vacation. I have absolutely no energy :( And it's so hot and humid, and now we have Tropical Storm Bill too. Poured rain all day today, but then started clearing off late this evening and it's been nice. Maybe things are looking up, hopefully for everyone who feels under the weather. :)

The suction bulb was the old fashion nose sucker. And they didn't do any x rays or scans the night of the wreck. The dr. at Childrens say the healing is around that time, so it could of been before r shortly after. I guess we'll never know. She has had all kinds of scans and x rays on Monday when she got there. During the endoscopic (how I hate auto correct) yesterday they said that the tears didn't need repairing , that they would heal on their own. We've heard that she has a pik line in her leg and a tube down her nose for now.

Little mama met with the detectives this morning and they want to know if she trusts new daddy with Lily. She said they tried to get her to say she thought he hurt her on purpose.

They dr. opinion is (unless it changes in the final report) is that it happened as new daddy said and that he hurt her doing the suction and pounding on her back in panic. The blood coming up was from the suction bulb making the first tear, and he panicked and suction her three more times, each time getting more blood and he called 911. I don't know if the detectives are satisfied with that answer.

We've heard that they will have to take parenting classes, which is the normal process in getting Lily back from CPS, in the mean time my other niece and her daughter cleaned her clean home (I think it's more nerves. Our family tends to clean and cook in times like these) in case Lily goes there. She told her husband to get ready for a baby or little mama, that they were getting one of them.

I want to believe this explanation - but kinda holding my breath in case it wasn't an accident and someone got away with it this time and the next time the outcome may be far worse.

I'm still wondering about new daddy's mother and her "mental and criminal records". She's given up three children (or had them taken away from her?) starting at age sixteen when her parents told her to give the baby up because the father was black (Lily is bi racial, and so far we're not impressed with her straight hair, We want curls. I guess our playing dress up with be braids and ponytails) and the next two that she gave up for whatever reason. Then she had four more ( all girls so far) then new daddy her only son. New daddy's father stabbed the mother several times and has been in prison for that and a lot of other reason we don't know since new daddy was very young. New daddy is the only one that has anything to do with her. One daughter found her, and her mother took her checkbook and cleaned out her bank account. None of the other girls have anything to do with her.

I know we can't pick ( even though we picked Pop for Loli and wasn't going to let him go. There is a story of madness and murder and Loli sixteen and pregnant by a sociopath who killed his mother on Mothers Day (aunt who had been raising him when his mother committed suicide when he was three), and Pop falling in love with Loli and supporting and marrying her and raising her son. We'll discuss nurture v nature another time. I say nature in this case) boyfriends and spouses and the baggage they might bring Or their parents. I know even through all we've been through in our lives we're pretty decent folks. We're clean hardworking middle class who take care of our children and grandchildren, not one of us have had CPS or anyone declared our homes unfit or a person to be kept away from them. I don't understand people sometimes.

Also Zuri if you could ask your husband about a virus that is going around in the metroplex. My brother called and told my sister that his grandson and son had a virus that caused blisters and his son had blisters on his feet. Lily did go to her pedi for a upper respiratory infection two weeks ago with a slight temp and then the blisters. I've looked online but the photo's I've seen aren't like what was on Lily's arm.

BendPages, have you considered doing a back ground check on the new daddy's mother ? I don't think it's that expensive, and is readily available on the internet. At least last time I checked. Or you could get a PI to do it if you didn't want to do it yourself. Just a thought. (((hugs)))

Pages, I will ask him tomorrow first thing. What came to mind was hoof, hand and mouth disease which is actually a virus. Can you describe the blisters or bites for me as best you can? Color? Raised or flat? Pattern? Size? Diameter? Location?

They didn't look like enterovirus that I found online. The blisters was only on her left arm. The first at the elbow, the second one about an inch further down her forearm. There were only two of them. They were not round, but more long, about as big as my little finger nail, and now their gone. Her pedi said it was an allergic reaction to what ever, but the blisters had a yellow sticky (serum?) substance when the first one burst? and the four little what I call pimples? in a square above the first blister. So I'm leaning towards a bite. My brother's son (twenty seven) and grandson (ten months) had it at the same time three weeks ago, with my nephew having it worse and on his feet, so that might of been the enterovirus. Alex saw Lily for the first time Mothers Day, so that would be a long incubation time wouldn't it? I think little mama has her pedi on speed dial and has been in to see him about every week or several times a week, but I chalk that up to being a new mama, and she may of picked up something there.

The thing about the nose sucker in the first story was Lily was so congested that he had to clear her nose during a bath ( they give her one in the kitchen sink with the sprayer to rinse her off.. I have no problem with that) ,and she started chocking so he put the sucker in her mouth to clear it and panicked when blood came up. Could he get the bulb that far down in her throat doing that? We hadn't seen any nasal congestion or drainage, but she had been to the dr. for what we used to call a slight cold, the week before, and it was saline and nose sucking.

My sister and I do have a concern that little mama says Lily sleeps twelve hours, and I wonder if new daddy or his mother may be giving her bendryl or something to make her sleep. He picks them up at midnight at Loli-Pop's and they go to his mothers apartment and back to bed, until they get up and he takes her to work at eight. I can see him being tired and being rough with her and losing it. He's also under pressure since he found a job a month ago ( two weeks after little mama went back to work) and we were picking up Lily from him and driving to Plano to get little mama. We asked him last week if he could bring her to us since his job is on the way to us, and Pop started picking up little mama and they'd come get Lily , and I don't know if that is an added stress of getting her and him dressed and to us.

Little mama was beside her self when she called her grandma yesterday. She said that they were running late and left Lily with his mother for the first time. So I think in the back of her mind she's not really on board with an accident by new daddy.

Thank God my post posted instead of being lost forever.

Neesaki, the police have already done that. She has a trail of mental and criminal records. We have no idea what they are, but because of them her apartment has been deemed "unfit for a child under eighteen. It wasn't dirty or unsafe other than her.

SUGAR TIME

Sugar in the morning
Sugar in the evening
Sugar at suppertime
Be my little sugar
And love me all the time

Honey in the morning
Honey in the evening
Honey at suppertime
So by my little honey
And love me all the time

Put your arms around me
And swear by stars above
You'll be mine forever
In a heaven of love

Sugar in the morning
Sugar in the evening
Sugar at suppertime
Be my little sugar
And love me all the time

Now Sugartime
Is anytime
That you're near
'Cause you're so dear
So don't you roam
Just be my honeycomb
And live in a heaven of love.

Sugar in the morning
Sugar in the evening
Sugar at suppertime
Be my little sugar
And love me all the time

Be my little sugar
And love me (love me)
All (all), all the time

(Sugartime, sugartime) Sugartime!

Very happy to know you'll get the sweatshirt, Niner. Quel beau souvenir!

However, I am shocked to learn that one of the docs seems to have done a tragic error. No words...

Thanks for the blog. I have no time to read it now but saw the pics - how beautiful!

I found this demonstration/explanation for using duct tape and vinegar. I never heard of it, either. It seems much too intense for me, and I would have to stand on my head to find the little "ducts" under the rim to duct tape. Basically, turn off water, flush to drain, add vinegar, clean under rim, duct tape the spray ducts, scrub, let stand overnight .......

I saw this in the signature of a post by GGE .... I hope it is OK to copy it for those who have this problem (it is one I have not encountered yet):

Pages, I asked DH MD about Lily's blisters. Hoof, Hand and Mouth, aka Fifth's Disease has blisters to the mouth, sole of feet and palms only. Sounds like new daddy was doing some aggressive suctioning and probably panicked. I am glad he is taking parenting classes as typically one doesn't need to use such forceful back blows that crack the cartilage. But Bless him, he called 911 and that just tells me that his intentions were good.

Sleeping 12 hours? A 3 month old? I agree That is atypical and that made me wonder about nutrition. Babies will start to sleep maybe 4-6 hours a night once they reach a certain weight. You may be right about the Benadryl drops. I can see that woman sedating Lily as she didn't want her sleep disturbed :(.

It must be such a relief to little mama to have such wonderful, lovely and knowledgeable mamas like you there for resources. I had no idea how to give my new born son a bath and was really scared. Fortunately, my DH could show me. Babies are so tiny!

I figure hubby's power washer might do just as good, and clean the entire room and myself all at the same time. A real time saver. :giggle:
