Wanted to share a bit of the County's restoration project.
So much history is in the old theatre and so many memories...
When I was in my pre-teens and teens years a group of us girls would go to the theatre every Friday night. One parent would take us and another parent would pick us up. Naturally, we met boys there (Oh My)! I got my first kiss there when I was in the 6th grade, by a 7th grader! (Wooohooo) Anyway...as he was laying one on me, I !SNEEZED! sprayed that poor boy all over his face (lol) I wanted to disappear and was soooo embarrassed at school on Monday morning. Ahhhh, the memories.
The Broadway Player received a grant for restoring the old theatre. I went to the open house yesterday evening and the retro seats, lighting, curtains, carpets, subway tile bathrooms...just everything is back (even the balcony).
I am so excited that this grand old building was restored back too it's former glory and I will going to the Broadway plays there this season
