Oh that God, Nore I thought it was just me, and I'm still having trouble. There are no options to bold something, change font etc; there are no buttons for adding a video or link. My pages are the full page where as before it was weighted towards the left and I had a two inch space on the right where ads could be. The last part of the page number is barley showing and you can't change to the next page. The pages were also blue and yellow.
Hmmm, maybe cussing at it made my buttons come back? Let's try some Saturday night music

BBM I haven't read any updates yet, but since the authorities don't know if Abdulazeez was acting as a "terrorist" (as the Boston Bombers did) or was just a "nut" (as the Colorodo theatre shooter), I can't assume that it was a terrorist shooting yet, but I do understand what you are saying Neesaki. :therethere: It's very frustrating that people are dying for "causes" that make no sense to us.
AND- how do you tell the ISIS terrorists from a Muslim who is not ISIS?
(Update: CNN - Homeland Security Chairman calls attack "ISIS-Inspired" 5:21 PM)
----------------------------------
The article you posted stated :
"The FBI confirmed 24-year-old Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez was the shooter who opened fire on a military recruiting center and reserve center in Chattanooga on Thursday morning....
Abdulazeez was born in Kuwait and had Jordanian citizenship before becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen, officials said...
Officials don't yet have a motive for the shooting...
Multiple people who say they went to high school with Abdulazeez sent the Times Free Press photos of what appears to be his senior picture and quote in his high school yearbook.
"My name causes national security alerts," his quote reads. "What does yours do?"...
"Authorities have not determined whether it was an act of terrorism or whether it was a criminal act," Reinhold said. "We are looking at every possible avenue, whether it was terrorism - whether it was domestic, international - or whether it was a simple, criminal act."..

I pulled this excellent article that I had previously posted on the Boston Bombing thread (I learned some things about terrorists while posting the tweets):
Why Teens Become Terrorists and What Schools Can Do
"...According to Russell Razzaque, a London-based psychiatrist, there are particular experiences shared by teenagers who participate in terrorist activities. He argues most teenage "suicide bombers lacked a close intimate relationship, particularly with their same-sex parent." In addition, immigrant youngsters from minority racial, ethnic, linguistic, and religious groups often are disconnected from the broader society where they live. While all teenagers are in some stage of rebellion against parental and social authority, the experiences of young people from Islamic immigrant families living in Europe may make them especially susceptible to radical appeals and vulnerable to ideologues who charge that they and their compatriots are victims of unjust social institutions and religious prejudice by the majority population...
An article in The Christian Science Monitor argued that groups like ISIS have been successful in recruiting young people from Western countries "who are disillusioned and have no sense of purpose or belonging" through an "appeal to sense of identity and place." The article compared ISIS to youth or criminal gangs that offer "disaffected teens a chance to join a group that gives them purpose and meaning." This sense of belonging has special meaning to young people who drifted away from belief or were recent converts to Islam...."

FBI: ISIS message resonating with young people from U.S., West

The warning described the effectiveness of the terror group's social media message, which urges young people to travel to Syria and engage in jihad. It requested that local agencies pass on any relevant information to the Joint Terrorism Task Force..."

Why is ISIS so successful at luring Westerners?
"...It preys on a recruit's sense of identity
The recruits are often young -- sometimes disillusioned teenagers trying to find purpose and make their mark.
For many, it boils down to a lack of a sense of identity or belonging, Barrett said..."

I know that most people know that not all Muslims are ISIS. Some Muslims came/come to America for the same reasons that my father and mother came, even when they carry their traditions from their homeland with them, my parents considered themselves Americans (saying that Muslims, who look different and dress different, are ISIS terrorists is just like stating that all Italians are mobsters and belong to the Mafia or that my grandmother, who dressed completely in black for the rest of her life because my grandfather died, is not acceptable in order to be an American citizen, IMO).

One more excellent article about what ISIS wants:
What ISIS Really Wants
"The Islamic State is no mere collection of psychopaths. It is a religious group with carefully considered beliefs, among them that it is a key agent of the coming apocalypse. Here’s what that means for its strategy—and for how to stop it....
We can gather that their state rejects peace as a matter of principle; that it hungers for genocide; that its religious views make it constitutionally incapable of certain types of change, even if that change might ensure its survival; and that it considers itself a harbinger of—and headline player in—the imminent end of the world...."

Some may not want to understand what these terrorists want, but if you don't understand, how can you defeat them?
Terrorism is a problem for the whole world, IMO. I just don't know how these misguided individuals are going to be irradicated. I hope some nations will figure it out and stop this madness- sooner-rather-than-later.
Terrorism scares me and I worry for my children's future in a world that seems to have gone mad, so I have studied the terrorists, in depth. :scared:
