Haha, I love it - especially the final scene!

May I suggest sending the final script to inmate #281129? But, be forewarned, "it" will critique your script...............but, no worries.......you can post "it's" critique here so we can all get even more laughs!

Gigi, you should be hosting a late-night show! I'm certainly willing to throw your name into the ring for any upcoming replacements! :D

I don't the cold blooded killer can critique it too much, since she is now without her phones (she had many) and google is NOT her friend anymore. She can't even spell gopher :giggle: She did however sound it out... and then spelled it like it sounds, just like a first grader would. "Go-fer"

From #281129 to her fans/lunatics/mental patients

cough cough "ADORABLE" prairie dogs ?

This place is teaming with little animals. Lots of different birds and prairie dogs (at least that's what everyone calls them) running around. The prairie dogs are ADORABLE. They look like a cross between a squirrel & a gofer

New fridge installed and running...didn't know that all the new fridges were "smart fridge's"! So many new setting, all digital of course and when the door is open for any amount of time it dings at you. Now I must relearn how you use a fridge/freezer!

Bubby is home. I had no idea what to expect here...He was put in a beautiful dark green tin container/w gold designs on it. A lovely card was attached and on the bottom of the tin was his full name and date of death. It was in a gift bag. He's not buried yet and I cried again. Have not opened the tin and do not think I can....

Good morning, coffee. Bubby is home, and you don't have to open the tin..... until or unless you want to.

I agree with Spell. I personally don't think I could or would.
That's just me though. Whatever you decide, we are here to support you.
Sending love to you. :heartbeat:

Morning all! (except no one here, but me... :( )

Love your story GigiG!! :happydance: Sounds like a wonderful trip!!

And speaking of opossums - we had one in the backyard tree of our home in Mtn. View - and the dog was barking up a storm; so the Huz goes outside to see what's going on. The opossum was on a tree branch, and then all of sudden just fell out of the tree. The dog was running around it and just barking! My Huz thought he was dead after falling out of the tree, so he picks it up and brings it inside and puts it in the sink! He was going to make opossum stew! But than the opossum starts to move a bit!!! I say to him - take it outside - it's NOT dead!! So the Huz quickly grabbed his tail and let it go outside; after awhile he was gone... he definitely was playing opossum!!!

It's going to be a lazy day around here! I was going to borrow our neighbor's leaf blower, but I see they took off early this morning with their boat. Oh well!! guess I'll have to do that later - maybe when I get back from the Song & Dance Festival!

Oh - the Huz has a tentative date for his pacemaker surgery - Oct. 14th. I had my hip operation scheduled for Oct. 7th, so that will have to change! Maybe hip operation in November... but I do have to wait until the Huz is well enough to take care of ME after my surgery!! And Zuri - the doxcyclene is making the Huz throw up and have the hiccups!!! :gaah: so he will have to call his doctor for a less strong antibiotic!! I guess this doxcyclene is pretty powerful, eh??

coffeejunkie

Okay - off to read around WS! :pcguru:

Later folks! :seeya:

Oh, Niner ..... I laughed so hard about the opossum in your sink that I had to tell hubby why. That is soooo funny ..... but sure glad he got it back outside before there were any problems.

Hope you can finagle those appointments so you both get you fixes..... by next summer you will be dancing up a storm, you two.

New Zealand sounds wonderful. Let's put it on our itinerary. We can hop over and see the dinosaur fossils in Australia too. Do we have any scuba divers?
Or mountain climbers?

I love this video. Not to insult anyone, but I don't think any of us are old ( IIRC Nore is in this age range) as these ladies; it's the kindred spirit we have in common.

My horses are vaccinated for rabies because of the raccoon and possum rabid population. They get Potomac Horse Fever vaccine too along with the 4 in 1 and strangles as I have been there, done that. Your horses and dogs have the perfect living environment and probably don't need half the ones mine get, if any. Look how well the EHV1 vaccine worked with my mares resulting in the loss of two fillies. The Fort Dodge people are supposed to reimburse me for the necropsies, and I have yet to see a check. Some of this preventative stuff is ridiculous.

I gave Kissy the same EHV1 series during Zuri's gestation because Kissy had lost to AI's before 3 months with the previous owner...........I have my doubts on anything the previous owner said, I hope I didn't expose her to something that was unnecessary. Didn't do the series this time around, specifically because of what you went through with your 2 mares, Zuri. I used Fort Dodge also.
I picked up some new breeding Chinese Silkie chickens, day olds and juveniles from a well known breeder back East about 15 years back. They were carrying Laryngo, a really bad respiratory virus with a high mortality rate, that had been established in that breeders flock by vaccinating against it. Those birds shed the virus to my flock. I had to spray all of them and then it was survival of the fittest and deciding whether I wanted to spray the vaccine every year for the duration. After everything was said and done, I lost about 30 % of the flock, breeders, show birds, youngsters, had to disinfect the pens/ feeders/nesting boxes/etc., move them to another area of the property, and dump lime on the previous location.
I quit buying live fowl and went with hatching eggs, expensive and hatch rates were always sketchy as was fertility. That's when I pretty much threw in the towel after 20 years of showing/breeding/hatching and anything that was left ended up as lawn ornaments. It was a major bummer. I had shown in several Nationals, and flew birds back East to be shown out there. Usually I had 4 big show destinations every year, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and California.
Zubaz and one of my previous mares, Lady, got strangles, at the horse complex I lived at back then, and both had been getting yearly vaccs for it. It was all about the race horses being brought in every January, I was fortunate that it ran it's course and antibiotics (Combiotic was available then, it was fantastic) kept it from going any further than swelling and discharge under the jaw. I just got to the point where I just
expected it to hit my horses before they were 5, kind of like kids when they used to get mumps back in the day, and then that was the end of it. There was twice in a 5 year period where Thoroughbred mares w/ foals were brought in and all the soon to be weanlings were just dripping discharge from their noses, and under their jaws, almost like a drippy hose.
The only 2 things I really fear with horses is colic and founder: colic all you can do is preventative measures, founder is just hit or miss, both of which can happen when a mare foals, among other things.
With founder, if the coffin bone moves in the hoof, it's all she wrote, no hoof no horse as they say.
Colic.........one roll on the ground and a twist of the intestine, lights out.

If I have to call the vet, things are bad. There's really no middle of the road. If I can't "fix it", I have a horse with one foot in the grave and it's time for the big guns to come out and take a shot at pulling my horse through.

Here's an update on the Arizona couple who were missing, and later found buried behind the murderer's home.
They had meth in their system:
http://www.kpho.com/story/29912436/...eth-in-system-at-time-of-death?autostart=true

A tragedy for the family, but I've always believed, "Live by the sword, die by the sword".

This couple willingly put themselves in a dangerous environment.

It could have been entirely avoided.

Reposting from the local Craig's List under "Pets".............it's funny, but it definitely has a message!

[h=2] ---FREE---Please Help!!!![/h]

Please help! After two long years of being on a waiting list for a dog, we have been notified by breed rescue that, at long last, our number has come up and ...

WE ARE HAVING A PUPPY!

We must get rid of our children IMMEDIATELY because we just know how time consuming our new little puppy is going to be and it just wouldn't be fair to the children plus we don't want the puppy to develop an allergy to them. Since our little puppy will be arriving on Monday we MUST place the children up for adoption this weekend!

They are described as:

One male -- his name is Tommy, Caucasian (English/Irish mix), light blonde hair,
blue eyes. Four years old. Excellent disposition. He doesn't bite. Temperament
tested. Does have problems with peeing directly in the toilet. Has had chicken
Pox and is current on all shots. Tonsils have already been removed. Tommy eats
everything, is very clean, house trained and gets along well with others. Does
not run with scissors and with a little training he should be able to read soon.

One female -- her name is Lexie, Caucasian (English/Irish mix), strawberry
blonde hair, green eyes quite freckled. Two years old. Can be surly at times.
Non-biter, thumb sucker. Has been temperament tested but needs a little attitude
adjusting occasionally. She is current on all shots and is very healthy and can be affectionate. Gets along well with other little girls and little boys but does not like to share her toys and therefore would do best in a one child household. She is a very quick learner
and is currently working on her house training. Shouldn't take long at all.

We really do LOVE our children so much and want to do what's right for them. That is why we contacted a rescue group. But we simply can no longer keep them. Also, we are afraid that they may hurt our new puppy.

I hope you understand that ours is a UNIQUE situation and we have a real emergency here! They MUST be placed into your rescue by Sunday night at the latest or we will be forced to drop them off at the orphanage or along some dark, country road. Our priority now has to be our new puppy.

$10 rehoming fee but price is very negotiable.

PS - If you laughed or understood the seriousness of this posting, please repost
it in other areas of the country as well as continue to repost it. It doesn't matter how quickly it was flagged the point is that SOMEONE SOMEWHERE will have
read it.

Taking a break:
Decided that today is a good day to go thru my walk-in closet and get rid of lots of clothes and thingys. The closet is cleared of everything
and empty, but my house is so full of "stuff" while I figure out what to keep, donate, or throw out. My son says that the house now looks
like a hoarder lives here.

Another soldier spurned by Army dies of apparent suicide

"For a U.S. Army where failures to treat soldiers with substance abuse problems have been linked to suicides, Georgia National Guard Spc. Stephen Akins was another tragedy waiting to happen.

Scans of his brain showed scars, and he had a history of seizures, combat blast exposure and suicide attempts. All were indisputable evidence that the soldier needed a medical retirement — despite erratic behavior that led to punishable infractions, his lawyer and psychiatrist argued. Such a move would offer a smooth transition from the Army to the care of the VA.

But the Army didn't see it that way. A two-star general with no medical background concluded that the 31-year-old soldier's behavior — drunken driving, speeding, missed appointments and urinalysis cheating — had nothing to do with traumatic brain injury or emotional problems and kicked him out of the Army..."

But don't call your dog a baby. Don't call him your "furkid" or "furbaby."
Because baby, it's not even close."

Murder Made Them Famous....And A Joke (with funny clips)

"They were on trial for murder, it was televised nationally, and it went on for years; The Menendez brothers were in the public spotlight and it didn't take long for their courtroom theatrics to inspire spoofs and comedy. Never making fun of the victims, comedy shows and movies couldn't help but elicit laughs at the expense of the brothers and their courtroom behavior. Here are two of our favorites: Saturday Night Live...The Cable Guy "

I think about him, too, when I drive over that bridge. When I visit the East Bay area, I always stay at the Doubletree at the Berkeley Marina, which is where he threw out Laci's body. Creepy. But it also irks me that San Quentin, with its beautiful architecture and enviable location, is where we send people to "punish" them? Cognitive dissonance...

Have never driven the Dumbarton Bridge, but it does look a bit scary...

Glad you're doing so well with your cholesterol, keep up the good work! :)

Scott said upon sentencing that he was "jazzed" to be going to a historic location. Wonder if he feels that way now?? It is a beautiful view, prime real estate, but the other way to look at it is torture for them that they'll never be on the other side of it ever again. When I toured the old, closed Alcatraz prison, which is on an island across from San Francisco (it's a tourist attraction now, a museum that you have to get to by boat)- they pointed out that on New Year's Eve the prisoners were tortured by the sounds of revelers partying in S.F.

Wow! I went to the artist's site..........I think I might just get a series of 3 prints, "Anxiety", "Depression", and "PTSD". Put the face of the "monster" to the "disorder, lol! These probably would have helped me tremendously 25+ years ago when the Doc started rattling off mental illnesses at me.

And the ADD diagrams are right on the money, my son had that as a kid, although I think it's been rearing it's head lately, probably bad food choices.
