Good morning all!

Do you have well water or city? And has he been checked for metals? Thyroid? I will ask my husband tomorrow as this list is good to work from. When did the symptoms start and what was going on in his life at the time? RA Factor? Hormone levels checked as in Testosterone? Has he had a brain scan? Has poly myalgia rheumatica been ruled out?

Zuri - sent you a response! Also - city water; not checked for metals; the doctor yesterday suggested checking his thyroid! Symptoms started 3 months ago, when an old 30-year back injury started hurting and wouldn't go away, so that would be around the first of June. RA Factor? :waitasec: don't know what that is... Don't believe he's been checked for hormone levels, no brain scan done; rheumatic has been ruled out yesterday.

Niner .... do the two of you eat lots of fish? And does hubby have amalgam (silver) fillings in his teeth? The mercury in those fillings does some bad stuff sometimes. That's what I thought of when you said he has a bad taste in his mouth. Does it taste metallic? Does he take Lunesta ... that drug leaves a terrible metallic taste.

Hi daisymae! When he was cooking we would have fish at least once a week, if I decided to buy it (I do the grocery shopping! LOL! I'm not too fond of fish, but when we have it, it's usual salmon. He had all his silver fillings replaced, so probably not the mercury. He doesn't take Lunesta; he's taking one of his naps now, so will ask him if is a metal taste when he wakes up! Thanks!!

Zuri - so glad to hear that you had a good night's sleep - it always does wonders!!! :happydance: on hearing how good Knox is doing! Bless your daughter! :luv:

coffeejunkie - unfortunately, I can't see what pictures/videos you are posting, so add a message of what they are about, so I won't be totaled lost... :scared: LOL! And the picture below is for you!! Good to see you back here! :loveyou:

It's going to be a lazy day around here! :summer:

Okay - off to cruise WS! :pcguru:

Later! :seeya:

Sending a warm "happy day" to everyone. Went to the dentist stopped at grocery store and gas station, came home and cut a small portion of our grass. Too many ouchies for me, so now I am going to take a nap! Sleep has been elusive too many nights now.

Bernina, glad to know someone likes the new 10. I am still waiting for my reserved copy, but I plan to do it as soon as it comes through. I never got used to 8 (of 8.1), ugh.

Special hug for you, Zuri.

Japanese Artist Creates Fun Miniature Dioramas Every Day For 5 Years

Since 2011, Tatsuya Tanaka has been creating creative and playful miniature dioramas. Not only has he not shown any sign of stopping since we last wrote about him, but he seems to be getting better and better!

Tanaka has been collecting the creative images into an everyday calendar that you can follow on Facebook or his website. Most involve foods and everyday objects that most of us wouldn’t even give a second glance!

Check out these pictures...just incrediable work!!

Back in the 90's there was a biggest cockroach contest and the one that won was dressed like Muammar Gaddafi and in a little jeep. Little uniform and all. It gave me the willies.

I've downloaded 10, but I don't use many of the features. I do like the start menu is back. It's ready to download now and took about an hour, but Anna and my grandson said it took over three hours for them on their laptops. I haven't downloaded it onto my desktop that hat XP yet. I need to so I can sit at my desk by the front door and watch my world.

Good Morning All! I slept like a rock last night and boy, does sleep make a difference. Knox is doing well and being fed small amounts of hay and will get a hand full of grain today at 2 intervals. He was so glad to be back at the barn lol and my daughter went to check him at 9 pm last night, where she found him lying down, snoring. Since you don't want a colicking horse to lay down, she made him get up just to make sure he was ok. He reluctantly got up and she just sat in His stall while he quietly munched a half flake of hay.

Today marks 33 years since my brother's murder and I take this day to reflect on what is good in my life. There is so much to be grateful for isn't there. Because of my brother, I was lead here to WS, where I found all of you. You all bring joy to my life. I feel as though we are kindred spirits, each here for our own reasons, but with the common goal to touch, support and enrich others in our own unique way.

I hope you all have a blessed day. Xo

I'm so glad you had a good nights sleep. I know how hard it is for me when a lot is going on and my mind doesn't want to let me sleep. I haven't lost a loved one to violence, but I came close and I thank God every night that Anna is here with me. My date to remember is July 5, 1992. My baby girl missed being found shot in the back of the head and dumped on a farm road because her best friend and her mother didn't come to pick her up to go to Lonestar Park to watch the horse races. They had been kidnapped and murdered by her mothers' ex boyfriend. Anna and her friend were 14.

So many I want to reply to, but I'm not having a good day at all. I have been doing a lot of crying and I am so damn depressed I can seem to focus on anything...Still not sleeping :gaah:

Zuri ~ Just wanted to pop in and wish your daughter a Happy Birthday! My daughter was 23 on August 8th. She also shares the same birthday as my mom.

I have a kinda funny story about the name Caroline.(LOVE THE NAME)!
I'm sure you all will "get it."

That name made me remember something about my Macky. Here is the short version. The first day we brought her home from the shelter, we were all thinking about what to name her. Meanwhile my daughter was opening a box of elbow macaroni that had ALREADY been opened on the other end. Macaroni dropped everywhere, since it was a very big box. The new furbaby went wild over it. She would fill her little mouth full, and run to the living room to drop it on the carpet. She did this twice, and took back and dropped it in the same spot, and tried/began to chew it. She then took her little nose and kept rubbing it on the carpet "to hide it" :giggle:

My daughter then announced that's it mom! "We are naming her Macaroni." I said "no we're not." She said BUT MOM it's perfect for her because she loves it!

I said you are NOT Caroline Kennedy, you do not have a pony and we are NOT naming that puppy Macaroni!
OMG the expression her face was priceless... she said, "what are you even talking about????? I never said she was a pony!!! And I don't even know anybody named Caroline."

Great story! I am so sorry you are having a bad day. You have had to shoulder a lot lately and losing your dog alone is enough to put you over the edge. I think we all totally get where you are coming from and I hope that tomorrow will be a better day. Baby steps.

I have found that not expecting too much from oneself and setting small goals for the day helped some during these phases. However, when you find that the blue days and sleepless nights are continuous/consecutive over a 14 day period, it is time to talk to your doctor. I do hope you feel better soon. You are loved and cared about. Xo

My mom's best friend had a female German Shepherd named Macky, and one time we stopped at a restaurant in Nevada called Macky's Star. I remember the name because of the dog!

Jimmy Carter's son, Chip, used to live in Peachtree City, GA and when we went to the Japanese restaurant the wall was covered with signed photos of Jimmy.

Also I learned Phillies pitcher Buchanan is from Peachtree City! Looking for a great retirement or young family area to live in ... that'd be the place to be.

It took my PC about an hour, it was changing from Win 7 to 10.
I didn't try out Win 8 because it just didn't have anything I wanted or needed.
I did have to tweak (totally disable) Windows Protector. Norton provided by my carrier covers all that and why switch if it's working? And I had to set my default browser to Chrome. I don't like Internet Explorer, haven't checked it out for years, but it was always real slow.
Did Anna and grandson hook their lappies into a hard line to download? It usually is a lot faster than doing it with WiFi.

Have no complaints, other than Candy Crush that's part of the platform is highly addictive, lol! I checked it out cause Wild was mentioning it during the 2nd trial of 281129, ol' Nurmi playing it on his phone.

Let Zuri and Zubaz out for a "daddy/daughter" play day, they had a BLAST!!!! It had rained from 2:00 am to about 9:00 am here, the temp dropped to about 68, and they were just full of piss and vinegar. Zuri has her dad's personality, which is a plus, Kissy is so full of herself probably because she was the princess of the show barn with her first owners. Sometimes I can just see the contempt in her eyes when I take her into the round pen, she's like "really, you want me to run in circles.......pfffftttt..........that's for grade horses!"

Windows 10:
Been using it since it was released. it's actually sped up just about everything, start up, turn off, switch between between tabs, browsers, web sites......
Pretty happy with it so far. Don't see a reason to restore back to Win 7.
JMO.

Hi Bernina , does WS. load any faster? Maybe I should try Chrome, I have
thought about it. I hate the 8.1 in certain areas.TIA.. :loveyou:

Dmacky, I'm sorry for not being able to give you advice. Zuri is too good, too fast, too wise :):):):):)
I so much hope that today is a better day for you. Take it slowly, be kind to yourself, think of all the people who love you and never feel lonely as we are here!!!
