PEANUT BUTTER "BUCKEYE" PRETZEL BITES

1 cup creamy peanut butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbs softened butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
minature pretzels
1 bag of chocolate chips or Merkins Choc. wafers

Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside. In mixing bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until combined. Add sugars and mix well. You should be able to roll mixture into small balls without sticking to your hands. If needed, add more powdered sugar until it is easy to roll. Take each ball and sandwich between two pretzels. Place on wax paper. When done, stick in the freezer for a few minutes. Melt the chocolate (I used Merkins Choc. wafers - easier to work with). Dip each pretzel bite halfway into the chocolate and place on wax paper to set.

Banana bread brownies

1-1/2 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1-3/4 (3 or 4) ripe bananas, mashed
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
Brown Butter Frosting:
1/2 c. butter
4 c. powdered sugar
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tbsp. milk
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375F. Grease and flour 15x10-inch jelly roll pan. For the bars, in a large bowl, beat together sugar, sour cream, butter, and eggs until creamy. Blend in bananas and vanilla extract. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and blend for 1 minute. Stir in walnuts.
2. Spread batter evenly into pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
3. Meanwhile, for frosting, heat butter in a large saucepan over medium heat until boiling. Let the butter turn a delicate brown and remove from heat immediately.
4. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract and milk. Whisk together until smooth (it should be thicker than a glaze but thinner than frosting). Using a spatula, spread the brown butter frosting over the warm bars (the frosting will be easier to spread while the bars are still warm)

Yes, this is EXACTLY how vets can tell the concentration of a vaccine in your pup's body. I learned a lot about that when I first started researching wolfdogs, specifically the rabies vacc. (The CDC discounts the use of titers to evaluate the level of protection!!!! OMG)
Cocker Spaniels showed non-protective levels at < 3 years after the vaccine.
Wolfdogs still had protective levels at 7 years after the vaccine, many at 10 years.
20 years ago, the Wolf Dog Alliance was all hot to trot about doing a study with a vet back East. I volunteered to have my WD, Meisha, to be used as part of the study. They were so disorganized, the first round of titers my vet did went absolutely nowhere after she sent it in. Chapped my hide cause I paid for the testing.
The irony is that a species of wolf in Ethiopia actually contracts rabies from domestic dogs, along with distemper. Figure that out.
Now it's common to give horses rabies shots.............why don't Dr.s just give people rabies vaccs then? :facepalm: It's all about "just in case". I can't find an accurate number of horse cases, the high end is 100 horses affected by rabies every year. If there was a epidemic of cases, I could see justification, but it seems that the horses affected were stalled horses. The most current number of horses in the US I could find was from 2007, over 9.5 million horses. Does the 100 horses contracting rabies justify a billion dollar industry generated from vaccinating every single horse?

IMO: It's overkill and all about $$$$$. It's pretty scary when your pet or livestock is given a vaccination and you have to watch them for 15 minutes in case they go into anaphylactic shock.

Do you ever daydream about doing something your family would think you're nuts for doing? What if we did take a big bus trip? Where would we begin and stop? Who would join us on our way? What sights would we want to see along our way? Would it include a trip to Mesa and Queensbrough Avenue? and a drive by Perryville so we could wave? and maybe a tour of the courthouse hoping to see Juan Martinez? and take KCL and her dh out for lunch? Maybe Bernina wouldn't mind if we could stop by to see Zuri our horse niece, and take her with us. Hmm how many states are represented in here? Texas, New York, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina Washington DC and Baltimore and Arizona?

The four brothers walked into old man Henry Ford's office and sweet-talked his secretary into telling him that four gentlemen were there with the most exciting innovation in the auto industry since the electric starter. Henry was curious and invited them into his office.

They refused and instead asked that he come out to the parking lot to their car.

They persuaded him to get into the car, which was about 130 degrees F inside, turned on the air conditioner, and cooled the car almost immediately.

The old man got very excited and invited them back to the office, where he offered them $3 million for the patent.

The brothers refused, saying they would settle for $2 million, but they wanted recognition by having a label, 'The Goldberg Air-Conditioner,' on the dashboard of each car in which it was installed.

There was no way that Old man Ford was going to put the Goldberg's name on two million Fords, sooo.....

A similar thing happened fairly recently with Intermittant Windshield Washers.

Someone who owned the invention took the automakers to court and I think they won a settlement making them pay up for rights to using intermittent wipers.

Im not sure if I have it totally right but I do remember this in the news about 2 years ago.

I wonder if my great grandfather has any patents I can cash in on. LOL
