Update: Warrant cleared for West Seattle assault suspect accused in fight over Jodi Arias murder trial

"FUGITIVE CAPTURED September 10, 2015 —

Seattle Police say Roman Benninghoven-Salado is no longer wanted since detectives say he retained a lawyer and set a court date on Wednesday — the day after being featured as a Washington’s Most Wanted fugitive..."

Lawyers for hot car death dad Ross Harris seeking sealed courtroom

"...It has been a long time since there has been any movement on the case. WYFF 4 reports Sept. 11 that hearings are coming up on the case to hear motions on evidentiary matters. WYFF 4 also reported yesterday that attorneys for Ross Harris are seeking to have the courtroom sealed for upcoming evidentiary hearings.

For trial watchers in the court of public opinion, this high profile trial is already sounding all too familiar to another murder trial that dragged on for years. That would be the case where convicted killer Jodi Arias, who once flirted outrageously with the media, worked to have everything on her case sealed and protected from the public eye when it came down to life or death crunch time. With justice for a toddler’s life on the line, the Ross Harris trial is expected to be as dramatic, and protracted, as the Jodi Arias trial....

It looks like a lot of evidence, and likely a lot of witnesses, suggesting a lengthy trial is forthcoming. Motions will be heard starting Monday Sept.14. They will also be heard Oct.12 of this year. A trial date is expected by the conclusion of these hearings."

It Took My Mother 50 Years To Talk To Me About Her Experience In the Holocaust—When She Finally Did I Was Speechless

"As a Holocaust researcher, Hermann Simon had heard numerous survivor's stories, but it wasn't until his mother was 75 years old that she allowed him to hear her own...
Marie Jalowicz Simon was born in 1922 into a middle-class Jewish family. She escaped the ghettos and concentration camps during the Second World War by hiding in Berlin. After the war she was full professor of the literary cultural history of classical antiquity at the Berlin Humboldt University. Shortly before her death, her son, Hermann Simon, director of the New Synagogue Berlin Foundation-Centrum Judaicum, recorded Marie telling her story. He will act as spokesperson for the book."

There's a startlingly simple reason why Americans dress so casually, according to a historian

"..."We dress more casually because we can," according to cultural historian Deirdre Clemente from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, who was interviewed by The Washington Post.

Americans gravitate toward casual without even realizing it. Casual clothing doesn't obviously signal wealth or social status, but instead proves that Americans can freely express their individuality.

It wasn't always this way. For much of the 20th century, Americans didn't dress casually all the time. There were dress codes and customs. Men wore suits and hats; women wore dresses. Jeans and T-shirts were for laborers, not professionals..."

After yesterday's magical disappearing posts or triple repeats, I guess I'll try to remember what I had written, lol!
While a the "head doc", they took my regular blood pressure reading, 110 over 80, don't know if that's good or bad for someone who's 104 lbs and 54.....they always say it's "fine".

Picked up the treadmill from Williamson Valley last week to get this heal tendon un-numb...........it's working. Little did I know this was happening 1/2 mile as the crow flies from where I was at:

YCSO releases video from Williamson Valley fatal shooting

http://dcourier.com/main.asp?SectionID=1&SubSectionID=1&ArticleID=149647

I guess we need to be prepared to see this becoming the norm with video cameras on LE.

My lil' bro and Evey are both heroes. Yesterday, 1000's of miles away from each other, they both saved dogs on highways. I was talking to my lil' bro yesterday morning as he drove to work in Seattle, saw a dog frantically crossing back and forth the freeway, ended our call, pulled a u-turn and rescued the pup from becoming a sail puppy for the owner who lived just off the highway..........8 other vehicles had blocked the roadway so he could run after it.............YAH, lil' bro!
Evey was coming back from Town on Hwy 89 and a Shepard mix was all buggy trying to find it's way home.......65 mph on that 2 lane highway. She stopped and coaxed it to her, got it safely into the bed of her truck and called Animal Control.......pup was home in time for dinner......YAH, Evey!!!!
My lil' bro told me about the filming going on in Northbend, Washington, his little slice of Paradise, with Showtime's "Twin Peaks" series. He'll be sending me pics. The diner got a makeover as did the building they had originally used as the police department. "Damn good cup of coffee......"

dd90c0fa-aa53-43be-8adb-acca6c28632b-1020x612.jpeg

And my brother got me interested in these funky things (Vibram Five Fingers) for the treadmill and beyond.........major 4 wheeling for the outdoors, lol! Waiting for them in the mail:

SpyridonLS-m4125-hero.jpg

Woot! had a blowout sale, picked up 3 different types, including a pair that's insulated and good in the snow and ice for less than the price of a single pair........just call me "Sasquatch"! I always preferred barefoot running from the time I was an early teen til about 12 years ago. My lil' bro swears by them.

And that's the re-cap of posts not posted from yesterday..............well, except Don went to the ortho doc, they're going to do an MRI, he may have tore his rotator cup compensating for the bone spur in his shoulder.......they thought they were just going to grind the bone spur down, but the doc saw something on the x-rays during the consult. Guess I should expect to be doing more heavy lifting. :scared:

"Motion to Disqualify the Court of Appeals (Appellant)" ???????

http://apps.supremecourt.az.gov/aacc...partyindex.htm
---------------------

What does this mean? anyone?

That question was also asked:
According to krkrjx on the Sentencing and beyond thread {post 575):
Maybe you could post this question on the lawyer thread as I think she may still check in there from time to time.

My guess would be this motion has something to do with wanting the opinion of the Court of Appeals thrown out--that one that said that secret testimony and/or banning media from a courtroom goes against the Constitution. But it's just a guess.

and Rickshawfan says (post 576):
I'm not sure where throwing out the Court of Appeals judgment would get her, since IIRC, the AZ Supreme Court went along with the CofA.
Maybe JA is just trying to get around one thread of the Appeals process. Just watch, she'll also try to get around the appeals thread that requires her to get a go-ahead from JSS. And then, magically, she'll be at the Federal appeals level.
What do you think about her current appeals attorneys wanting to go along with this strategy (obviously dreamed up by JA) because it means they will fast-track getting rid of Jodi as a client? The current attorneys, IIRC, would not be involved in a Federal appeal: it would all be Jodi's private money from her "fund".
and there is more discussion on this, if you go to:

LOL@ ACROSS the river! I hope she comes over to the friend and family side of the River to get us too Spell...as most of us hate bridges!

I'm glad she does have a good sense of humor, because I am ALWAYS the one who will somehow find humor.
I think from my rotten childhood, humor was always my escape. I even got best personality and wittiest in my senior year of HS. BUT you know what they say about girls or guys with a "good personality" though....UGLY
Do you all remember back when our friends were trying to fix us up with somebody? They'd say "OHH...he's got a good personality"! And we're like, "BUT WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE"??? lol

Zuri Please come to my house ASAP.
I got out all the junk in the kitchen and living room closets and drawers to go through and get rid of CLUTTER. Right after that, my sciatic nerve got all out of whack and now I can't sit down or hardly stand without severe pain! My counters and kitchen and LR floors are covered with JUNK and EMPTY boxes! I can't even bear to look for my kitchen table, I know it's there somewhere. That plan backfired big time. And that happened 3 weeks ago! Every time I walk into my kitchen, where the computer happens to be... I look around and want to go right back to my bedroom and get back in bed on my heating pad!!! :bed:

I am a little tiny bit better this morning, so I'll take that and be grateful!

Oh no, Dmacky, not sciatica! I was lucky with my recent bout that only lasted a week or two. I love cleaning out "junk" and am good at tossing, selling, or giving away. Want me to meet coffeejunkie and we can whip through it while you keep the coffee pot hot? Get better, luv.

We just went through our entire house, and shed, and garage and had a one-day yard sale yesterday. Whoohooo..... my coffee maker had died this morning so we were able to buy a new one along with a fancy schmancy bed pillow and hubs got some new books.

So.....update on I-10 shootings:
3-18 year olds arrested last night for "copy cat" crimes, 10 incidences in the Mesa area within a few hours. NOT the I-10 shooter(s). Teens were using a slingshot. Criminal charges are expected.
No additional I-10 shootings since the arrest of the suspect on Thursday, but LE is saying to remain vigilant. Suspect was arrested and arraigned on unrelated charges (possession of drugs).

And that's where that stands at this point.

She could take dark chocolate with chili pepper. The chili's have capsaicin which is used to help relieve minor pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis or muscle sprains and strains. See killing two birds with one stone.
