I'm just home from seeing the doctor about my arm. The bone is still broken and am in the beginning stages of osteoporosis, YIKES! Am being referred to an orthopedist and physical therapy. The rotator cuff is probably damaged also but she couldn't read the xrays. I go to a church where physicians volunteer so none of this now will cost me anything. She could hear the bone popping and mentioned surgery might not happen, so we'll see how it goes. And, yes, it still hurts very much so.

Daisymae, if you don't mind my asking, why don't you have Obamacare or Medicaid? There are so many good options out there for low- or no-cost healthcare. Just saying. I know it varies from state to state, but I can't help but think that you're not taking advantage of what's available to you. if you need some assistance navigating the process, please let me know. I'd be happy to help! :)

Everyone needs a "break", no pun intended, Daisymae!

Is this the time of year for medical things or am I just loosing my marbles? Seems like it comes in waves.
You're probably going to have to get an MRI for that cuff, that's where the boyfriend is going to have his imaged here real soon before they take that bone spur out of his shoulder socket.

Those toe shoes, Vibram 5 fingers? It's a MIRACLE!!!!! I can feel my heel now, lol! Just wore them a few hours a day to get used to them (part of the instructions before starting a running program in them) and my heel isn't numb, could feel it after the first time I put those suckers on. I don't know if they lined something up, put pressure on something that was squished, or just stretched the tendons, but it's very cool! Today was day 3....... so just might hit the treadmill tonight......just might........

Hi GiGi ... I didn't try to get on Medicaid because I'll be turning 65 in January ... and this clinic I've been going to takes care of everything. Blood work, etc. But in Jan. that stops and Medicare will start. Thanks for asking. Now I'm getting swamped with Medicare offerings and wish they'd leave me alone. :D

Just love the energy!

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Is that a dapple grey appaloosa? I look through imagines of appaloosa's and just in awe in what all God made for us to enjoy.

My father told us he had a pinto ? that he'd ride all over the ranch and slide down the mountains on.

Just to mention, you know who would REALLY like this would be Zuri. Missing our sweet friend and hoping she's on the mend...

1969 - Tiny Tim announces his forthcoming marriage to "Miss Vicki" Budinger, which would break records for TV viewership when the ceremony is broadcast on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. The two are separated three years later and divorce in 1977.

My husband had hair like that. Can you imagine how I dreaded him meeting my father because he was a hippie and Italian?

Isn't it amazing that even the horses were brought to America?

Have you noticed how much we've learned about our world past and present in the last few weeks? It's been very enlightening and educational.

OMG, Pages, you're so all-over-the-map with the videos you post! I truly love that about you, but you do surprise me, pretty much on a daily basis! :)

Having just posted a jocular comment about the more entertainment-related videos that you post, I now feel a bit embarrassed. This video is quite sobering. To see actual footage of the brutality that went on is really difficult to process. I also think we all need to realize that what Niner's family went through -- as awful as it was -- did not occur in a vacuum. So many other families must have struggled through very similar circumstances. This video is clear proof of that. Thank you for sharing...

No problem, I'm not offended. This is what my father wanted for the Jews. God's chosen people. At times, when I think of of what he wanted for them, why, and how could you run through my head. How can one want that horror and suffering for the the chosen people of the God, that you say you serve?

As I set and read the post I am in tears by Niner's family journey, I cannot imagine leaving everything I have every known...

I am also proud of this small group and the love and compassion that we show one another. We are truly an amazing 'top notch' bunch! We have came together from all walks of life and different parts of the world and somehow we all make it work. I feel as if I have known you forever and I know that no matter what happens in our lives, we will be here for each other...

JINGLES!!

Wow, wow, wow - these are amazing beauties!
I feel so frustrated by the fact that I have never had the opportunity to get familiar with horses. Well, may be you'll tell me that's up to me to create the opportunities concerning my longings - and you would be so right. ;)
So, well, another project for my "senior life". It's never too late, isn't it? :)
