When Joe Bonamassa was twelve years old he opened for B.B.King, and he made it to the Royal Albert Hall and Eric Clapton. I love this song.

10 Reasons Why Fall Is The Best Time Of The Year In Indiana

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love the fall season. The temperatures are starting to go down, the leaves are starting to change colors, the smell of rain is in the air, Halloween decorations are starting to go up, and the Christmas sales have just begun! Don’t forget about the awesome sales on food for Thanksgiving that’s right around the corner! Here are a few reasons why I think Fall is the best season in Indiana. What do you think?

Hi CJ, yes Indiana is beautiful. very much like Ohio. I'm in Northeast Ohio. I get depressed in Fall , through it's beauty I see winter coming , that too is much like yours but being on Lake Erie can prove to be a snowy mess , along with freezing temps. Once the lake freezes over it's a bit better. http://www.onlyinyourstate.com/?s=Ohio

Prayers for Zuri..

So dread fall and winter...I so enjoy seeing the sun. We don't even get that much snow--compared to other states. I'm just over rainy dismal days.....(don't care that it makes my sister in Georgia happy--"boot time.

Greetings from Hospital Hell. They ran over my charger with the bed and there is little wifi so I have hoped to come and bring you some night shine. Or is that moonshine.

I am really sick. Not a little. I am not happy that I am this sick, which does not make Zuri a pleasant person to be around. Today was my 28 th wedding anniversary which I spent with the TV! But the best part was and I hope this will make you smile, I pissed off a bunch of nurses and a doctor who stood on policy and not practicality. I let these people have it as I pointed out that the lack of communication between what patients take at home and the continuation of those meds in the hospital caused withdrawal, confusion and affected me too.

Well, one of the nurses actually counted my f bombs. One brought a physician an in to try and reason with me. Well, let's just say that did not work. He had the audacity to tell me NO ONE HAD EVER QUESTIONED THIS POLICY. For those of you who know me, my answer was probably apparent. Well, I got my way, and hopefully others won't have to suffer by going into withdrawal because of stupidity.

I can't breathe, but I sure was yelling. Lungs are a mess. They did the cardiac 3D Echo to see what happened. I had been told there was no whited out parts of my lungs by the tech and he lied. I do. This is not good.

I just want you all to know how much I deeply care and love each of you if something goes bad. No melodrama here. Just fact. You have made my life so much richer, kinder, more wonderful, fuller and I have grown from every interaction. This recovery is going to take a while. My immune system is shot to begin with so a virus just took hold and got me good. I haven't slept well in nights so my look is interesting... But hey, they have the best stress incontinence pads here on the face of the planet. Bright side. Always. I love you.

I've been in hospital hell before too and it's not good. I'm with you right there, you hang in there dear one. (((Hugs))) and Prayers.

Zuri,it's just like you to make me laugh at your sense of humor. But when I got to the last two paragraphs, I was not laughing anymore. PLEASE don't talk like that :frown: YOU ARE A FIGHTER ZURI, and you HAVE to fight for your life now. Your family needs you, your dogs and horses need you and WE NEED YOU. You will get better. <Repeat that over and over. (but replace you with I) We love you girl :heartbeat:

PS ~
How many F bombs did the nurse count anyway? Give us a rough estimate if you can. Oh, and tell them you want "Designer Depends," preferably GUCCI...nothing but the best for our Zuri :loveyou:

YOU WILL GET BETTER :grouphug:

Hello Sidebar Friends:
:loveyou:
We are having an unusual and very welcome rainy Saturday here in the high desert. When I grocery shopped at Walmart this morning, I caved in and bought some bacon for the first time in about five years. Went home and made myself some bacon and eggs brunch. Yum, yum. It was the first time my pair of four-year old kitties smelled bacon cooking and they were fascinated. But no people food for them. Meany Mommy that I am.

LOL... NO BACON FOR YOU!.... NEXT

Every year in November I made up tons of Divinity for family and friends and freeze it for the Holidays. Here is my Grandma's recipe and one I found for microwave today. Think I might try the microwave one and see how it turns out. If anyone wants copy grandma's recipe, go for it :) But, if you decide make a batch, let me know...some tips and secrets have been passed down :)

Grandma's Divinity

3 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
2 well beaten egg whites
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

In saucepan boil the sugar, water and syrup over a medium heat until it reaches the soft ball stage. That is when you drop a little syrup in cold water, it will then form a soft ball.
While you are cooking the syrup to a soft ball stage, have the mixer beating the egg whites until they are stiff. Pour half the syrup into the stiffly beaten egg whites. Keep boiling the rest of the syrup until when a spoon full is dropped back into the pan it will form a small long line of crackling sugar and water.

Pour rest of syrup into egg mixture and continue beating until the candy stands up in peaks. Put on wax paper by the spoonfuls.

Microwave Divinity------Yields 90 pieces

4 C. Sugar
1 C Karo
3/4 C Water
1 t Vanilla
3 Egg Whites
Dash of Salt
1 1/2 C Pecans

Combine sugar, karo, salt & water in a 2 qt bowl. Microwave on high for 18-19 minutes stirring every 5 min. ( make sure mixture doesn't start to turn yellow---if it does it has cooked too long) Beat egg whites until stiff. Pour syrup mixture gradually into egg whites beating constantly. Continue for about 10-12 min until mixture looses its shine. Fold in vanilla and pecans. (Optional)
