FULL coverage, and with DENTAL!?!!? that is wonderful! I didn't know dental could be a part of it.

I am a strong believer that all our health care should cover everything --- dental, mental health, vision, and general health--- all under one large umbrella. Instead, it is all separate branches, and one branch doesn't know what the other is doing. For me, my health issues affected my vision and the bone under my teeth, but none of the doctors realized it was all connected until it was too late to save my teeth. :-(

Yeah, they added dental this year!

I truly wish we had universal healthcare. If we cut out the insurance companies it would ALL be affordable.* (That's where the biggest percentage of the money goes.) The real problem is their lobbying power and the number of politicians already into their deep pockets...

*They're just doing admin work, for goodness sakes. The CEOs of those companies make more money than all the doctors they represent combined. Does that make any sense???

As someone who can only afford to have healthcare coverage due to Obamacare, I have to respectfully disagree. If it weren't for Obamacare, I'd be forced to use the emergency room as my primary care physician. I'd also not be able to get testing and preventive care for conditions that we know are incredibly expensive -- and often shorten life expectancy -- when not diagnosed early on.

And, though it varies depending on your income and location, there ARE very real tax breaks (I save a LOT of money -- For me, the tax breaks cover at least 2/3 of my bill). I couldn't afford coverage were that not the case.

I am but one of the many millions of people without employer-provided coverage, and I am tremendously grateful for Obamacare. I honestly don't know what I would do without it and the peace of mind it affords me.

Not to make fun, but did you know you can get a pap smear at the walk in clinic at Walmart for thirty five bucks. I'm still trying figuring that one out.

Yeah, but what do you do if it comes back suggesting a problem if you don't have insurance?

I like that idea of getting rid of the insurance companies altogether. Or maybe just limit them to hospital coverage.

I bet doctors would be more reasonable with their charges if insurance companies were out of the loop.

I remember one time a long time ago I went to a doctor for some sort of ailment and they were going to charge me about 150.00 dollars for the office visit and asked for my insurance card. I explained to them that I worked construction and didn't have any insurance so I asked them if I could pay 1/2 now and asked if they could bill me for the rest.

Once they knew the charges were going to be coming out of my pocket, they reduced the bill right there on the spot to 75.00

At first I was happy about it but the more I thought about it later, I realized they were more than willing to bill insurance for as much as they could get but when they knew it was real money coming out of someone's pocket then they charged a realistic amount.
I'm still mad about it. :)

Good Morning!! SMILE!
The greatest gift you can ever own is not found in the shops or under your Christmas tree. It is found in the hearts of your family and your true friends.

This is for anyone who has had to put their beloved animals down (me included).

THE LAST BATTLE

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then will you do what must be done,
For this -- the last battle -- can't be won.

You will be sad I understand,
But don't let grief then stay your hand,
For on this day, more than the rest,
Your love and friendship must stand the test.

We have had so many happy years,
You wouldn't want me to suffer so.
When the time comes, please, let me go.
Take me to where to my needs they'll tend.

Only, stay with me till the end
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time you will agree
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I have been saved.

Don't grieve that it must be you
Who has to decide this thing to do;
We've been so close -- we two -- these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

Easy And Unique DIY Brown Paper Bag Floor

Home improvements can be costly and time-consuming. However, one DIY-er came up with a unique and frugal project to repurpose an everyday product for unique flooring!
http://www.faithtap.com/5328/easy-and-unique-diy-brown-paper-bag-floor/?f=1

(sounds like a lot of work, but it turned out nice)

Reminded me of cardboard furniture.

I actually have a cardboard end table. LOL

They are kind of neat and very light but more expensive than you would think.

Does anyone remember Andi from the Bachelorette show?

Some resemblance there. LOL

Seriously though. I think some people just have a natural expression that turns the lips downward into a kind of frown. No fault of their own and not their fault.

On the show, they even brought out Grumpy Cat because they knew it was noticeable and she was getting lots of twitter feedback about her natural frown. She takes it well and seems to be a really nice person.

Grumpy Cat and Puggle should go on tour together for commercials. :)

Amish Man Confessed to Poisoning Wife in Missouri, Police Say

"A Kentucky man who served as a minister in his Amish church has confessed to fatally poisoning his wife nine years ago while working as a cabinetmaker in rural Missouri, authorities say.

Samuel Borntreger, 39, of Summer Shade, Kentucky, was charged Monday with first-degree murder in the death of his wife, Anna Yoder Borntreger. Her body was exhumed Tuesday from an Amish cemetery in Missouri.

Court records allege Borntreger went to authorities in Barren County, Kentucky, on Sunday and told them he put antifreeze in her drinks and battery acid in her rectum before her death in late 2006. Authorities provided no further details.

Borntreger is jailed without bond in Kentucky awaiting extradition to Missouri. No attorney is listed for him in online court records, and attempts to reach relatives for comment were not immediately successful..."

Death Penalty to Be Sought in 1980 Murders of Mother, Teen

"Prosecutors said they will seek the death penalty against a man charged in the murders of a mother and her teenage daughter during a burglary in Pennsylvania more than 3 decades ago.

Abraham Cruz Jr., 55, was charged in August with criminal homicide, conspiracy, burglary and arson in the August 1980 slayings of 17-year-old Deborah Patterson and her 41-year-old mother, Nancy Patterson.

District Attorney Brian Sinnett said at Cruz's arraignment Monday that he plans to seek capital punishment if Cruz is convicted of first-degree murder. Sinnett said the death penalty would be justified because more than one person was killed, the slayings occurred during a felony, another person was endangered and a prosecution witness was killed to prevent them from testifying. He also cited the defendant's criminal history..."

Here's a trial that has live streaming that is going on this week:

Randall Ross murder trial to begin, no death penalty

"PORT CLINTON - The murder trial of Randall Ross is set to begin Monday morning and move forward without the death penalty as a possible sentence.

Ross is charged with the murder of his estranged wife, Amy Ross, 43, at a Carroll Township home in March 2013. He faces two counts each of murder, aggravated murder and aggravated burglary and one count of kidnapping.

He is accused of storming into a farmhouse where Amy Ross was staying and fatally shooting her while her sister and niece were in the home. After shooting his estranged wife, Ross then shot himself twice in the head in two separate botched suicide attempts, authorities allege.

According to court records, the prosecution has dismissed the death penalty as a specification in the case. As a result, they also filed several motions for the court to reconsider prior decisions..."
